These are pictures of my finished Elf Costume. The dress was made out of a shiny blue fabric with silver-like flowers that was either the same blue as the dress or silver depending on how the light reflected it. Then I made the belt and lined the sleeves with a sparkly like dark red fabric to offset the dark blue.
The pattern I used for the dress was Simplicity 9891. The body of the dress is view C, and the sleeves are from view A. I used a necklace as my circlet. Though, I'm still working on getting the elf ear tips. ;)
Note: this is the first dress i've ever made :-o But I like it and think it came out pretty darn good for my first sewn dress :) It's not perfect, but I did my best ;) I'd appreciate any comments you have; you can post them in my guestbook on the main page :) thanks! |
