Hermit Crabs!
African Water Frogs!
I think that African Water Frogs are great pets. But, if you are looking for a pet that you can cuddle with, then this is not the pet for you. But if you are more into watching your pets, you might want to look in to these small frogs. African Water Frogs live entirley in water. They say that the tank MUST be heated, but i have had the same frog for about 2 years, in a no heated tank, and it is doing just fine. They eat HBH Frog & Tadpole Bites. The food costs around $3.99, but it lasts ATLEAST 2 years.
The question I get asked alot is: "do they Croak?" Well the male ones do, and only when they want to mate. The sound isn't noticable, and i find that it helps me go to sleep!
You need to clean the tank at least once a month, if not every 3 weeks.

Hermit crabs are low maintnence pets. When you go to the beach, you may have seen little crabs walking around with a shell on there back... well thoser are Hermit Crabs! Hermit crabs live in shells. They change shells when the one they are in getso to small, or uncomfertable.
Hermit Crabs cost under 5 dollars at almost any petstore (petsmart, pet co, etc). They live in little tanks, at room temprature. The tank needs to have a: wet sponge, water, food (hermit crab cakes), and at least 2 shells that the crab can change into. Every once in a while, you need to spray the tank with a mister, to keep it moist.
