Poem Mrs. Jean NelsonTwentieth Anniversary CDC Teacher
How does one count the cost In time and sacrifice Invested in a little child’s life Is it not worth the price?
The preparation too The hours, the daily task The ever changing emphasis She never seemed to ask.
For all the years of time How could one count the cost? Each little life so very dear Not one must e’re be lost
For they’re the ones that count Not time or sacrifice She gave the very best she had They made it worth the price.
Now looking back across the time It never occurred to me The twenty years has come and gone This was her place to be.
