Poem The Old Farm Place It may have been just an "old farm place" To those just passing by But to me, as a country boy You might just ask me why? Why would a "place" so simple as that That would mean so much to me Now I confess, I must admit It wasn’t that much to see. I’ve been a lot of places in this ole world Great cities I did roam But the "place" I call, "that old farm place Was the "place" that I called home. Oh, that "old farm place" in my memory Happy faces I can see My Papa and Mama and all us Kids It was the "place" for me! |
