Poem John the Baptist Beheaded? The head of John, before the throne Was delivered on a platter; To please the crowd that was the guest It’s all that seemed to matter. Sometimes in life, we look around And wonder why things happen; We ask the question, "Where is God"? Does He not care about us? Four hundred years did Israel wait In a land of toil and sorrow; The only thing, they had to cling Was their "hope" for tomorrow. The answer to life’s vexing cares We may not comprehend; But "hope" will bear us o’er the tide And see us to the end. Romans 8:18 :For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us! (This is our Hope, our assurance that His promises are sure!) |
