Poem In That Quiet Place Hoyte to Jean In that place where we too sat alone And dream together our own future home The stars above were twinkling in the night The moon is sinking, it’s almost out of sight. It’s time to go: how can we we now depart From this quite place, we gave to each our heart O Blissful night, will ne’er return again And so it is, that love remembers when. And in that place, so peaceful as t’was then Can we return, to find that place again In that quiet place, we must not e’er forget Yet, through the years, we love each other yet. |
