Poem "I don’t feel better" "Mama, I don’t feel better That what ole Dick would say; With his face flushed with fever And he did not want to play. God gave us five dear children So precious, if you please; And when they were not doing well We’d drop down on our knees. But time has changed so much now They all have gone their way; They gave us precious memories To pass our time away. They often come to visit With little-ones you know; And bring us joy and happiness And makes our hearts a’glo. But now they’re scattered here and there The grand ones all the same; And as we pray from day to day We love to call their name. |
