Poem God’s Abounding Grace Shifting shadows of the nighttime Like the clouds up in the shy; Oh, so swiftly life is passing Millions not prepared to die! God’s dear promises abounding And our doubts will fly away; If we bow our heads in simple faith, And knell, and thus we pray: We thank you Jesus for you blessings For you death upon the Cross; Forgive my sins, I trust you fully And in Him we bear no loss. On that resurrection morning When the dead in Christ arise; And we meet our blessed love one Way up there in paradise! O what joy and jubilation At his feet we humbly bow; We well praise our Lord forever In what is called: "The Eternal Now." |
