Poem THE WORD BECAME FLESH (God, Clothed In Human Flesh) God has spoken through the ages God has said, and it was so He brought forth, as His creation Every thing we see and know. The greatest truth in all of history Though it’s hard to understand How the "Word" became a person And walked this earth a lowly man. In the fullness, and in God’s purpose He sent forth His only Son To bring to man, "so great salvation" So we, in Him, could be as one. Yea, the God of all creation, Thus, He wanted us to know That mankind is something special For ‘twas He that made us so. Sadly, since the fall of Adam In the garden of paradise Where man chose to disobey Him At such an awesome, awesome, price. But God came in human likeness To a virgin, was born that day Came to bring to us glad-tidings In this humble, humble way. So we look with awe and wonder For He’s coming back again Then we’ll be with him forever In that blessed promise land. |
