Poem Euroclydon "...and wished for the day" Acts 27:14-29 In the storms of life it is hard to see When Adversities come our way; And the nights are dark and weary, And humbly, "We wish for the day." Euroclydon was a mighty storm, Way out in the Adriatic Sea; And apart from the providence of God, It was truly, no place to be. When the ship called "life" breaks upon the rocks, With the rolling sea’s around us; And our only hope is the power of God, It is then we know, He is with us! So we look back upon "Euroclydon;" When our faith was sorely tried; And we sail our ship in confidence, That He’s always by our side. In the sovereignty of God’s purposes We do not always understand; But we know He hears us when we pray, And the storms heed his command! |
