AGAPE LOVE

"God is Love," it tells me in His Word,

And to my soul, the greatest news I've heard;

God does not hate, though sinful man must be,

We killed His Son, for all the world to see.

Agape love, man does not understand,

Though sinful, he does the best he can;

That God is love, it's hard to comprehend,

Finite we are, for we are only man.

His attributes, we only can aspire,

His righteousness, His beautiful attire;

And such a gift, He promises to all,

Who come to Him, and heed His tender call.

His holiness, the height of aspiration,

He shed His blood, to purchase our salvation.

So should we not, though sinful though we be,

Strive to attain, the best that we can be?

"God is Spirit," that's why He's everywhere,

He's in my heart, He knows my every care;

His righteousness, He reckoned unto me,

I'm not ashamed, nor shall I ever be!

THE TOUCH OF HIS GARMENT

The touch of His garment is all that I need;

His blessing from heaven, my only plea.

His grace is abundant, so full and free;

His love is abounding, for you and for me.

So why do we ponder, and worry so?

His riches awaiting for us you know.

For we are His children, saved by His grace;

We'll sit at His table in that holy place.

We'll not be ashamed, our robes will be white;

Because of His sacrifice, all things are made right!
