Wings Slay Ice Dragons 4-2
Sunday November 30, 2003

WARMINSTER (AP) -  On Sunday night, the Wings showed no ill effects from the Thanksgiving holiday, and played one of their better all around games, downing the Ice Dragons 4-2 at Face Off Circle. The WIngs opened up with good pressure from the get-go, outshooting the Dragons 12-3 in the 1st period, but only had a 1-0 lead on a goal by
Drew Bonekemper midway through the period.
The lead didnt last too long into the 2nd period though as the Dragons tied the score just 8 seconds into the period. However the tie didnt last long, as the Wings took the lead right back two minutes later on a goal by
Brian Teufel in a scramble in front of the Dragons net.
The 3rd period saw the Wings increase the lead to 3-1 on a goal by
Greg Kliniewski after a bad give away by the Dragons goalie infront of his net. The Dragons though closed to within one with about 5 minutes to play on a powerplay goal, but the Wings held on and added an empty net goal by Greg Kliniewski to finish them off.  Special kudos go out to the defense, who only played 4 deep the entire game, and did a hell of a job the entire game. Goalie Dave Gray also played well, and stopped 15 of 17 shots to get his 2nd win on the season.
