Wings Downed by Nemesis 10-2
Friday October 31, 2003

PENNSUAKEN (AP) -  In what can only described as a "weird" game, quite appropriate for Halloween night by the way, the Wings took on the Nemesis, a second straight game versus one of the better A level teams in HNA. And for the second straight game, the Wings came up short, dropping this one by a 10-2 margin. Though the score looks like a blowout, you have to consider that because of some odd circumstances, the Wings played half the game without a goalie, not to mention they were already short-handed from a number of forwards that had to miss the game.
The Nemesis took advantage early, taking a 4-1 lead after 1 period, with the lone Wing's goal coming from
Clay Alt. The second period wasny much better as the Wing's were outscored 2-1, getting their lone tally from Justin Hayes. That would be all the scoring for the Wings, as they endured another tough period in the 3rd, as fatigue and a cold goalie set in and they were outscored 4-0 in the final stanza.  Goalie statistics for the game were unavailable, though George Cooper played a solid period and a half in net without goalie equipment.
