Wings Play to 3-3 Draw
Thurday January 22, 2004

OAKS (AP) -  For the second straight game the Wings took on an "A" Division opponent at Center Ice, and for the second straight game the Wings walked away with at least a point. Fresh of last week's beating of the Cobras, the Wings continued their energized play and jumped on top of the Roadrunners early snagging a 2-0 lead in the first period on two goals by
Greg Falcone and some outstanding goaltending by Dave Gray.

The Roadrunners crept back into the game, and eventually tied the score early in the third period on two plays from their "franchise" player, but the Wings were resilient and took the lead right back on a goal
Jason Falcone. The Roadrunners eventually wound up tieing the game later in the third, but were repeatedly denied from ever taking the lead by some solid play from the Wings defense and a few more acrobatic saves from Gray.

Overtime was basically a fiasco on the officials part. Playing on a running clock because the game had run late, a minor melee occurred with about two minutes into the OT, and  the refs lost control of the game. In the process about 2 and 1/2 minutes ran off the clock. As a result, no one scored and the game wound up in a tie.
Dave Gray stopped 31 of 34 shots in the game.

                                                Greg Falcone: 2 G, 1 A
                                                 Dave Gray: 31 saves
