William Tindall - Sailing Master

Age: 25

William comes from a middle-class background. He started off as a Midshipman, but due to a drinking problem, he lost the patronage of Commodore Norwood and was made a Master’s Mate instead. He made his way up to Sailing Master. Finding employment after the last war proved difficult, so he joined the Merchant service and worked with Captain Victoria Jones.

William has a jet black cat called Max, who is rather partial to rats and fish. He also likes stockings – Midshipmen beware as stockings tend to end up with holes in them if left lying about.

William is shy until he gets to know people. He is loyal and loves cards. In battle, William will raise the challenge. In his younger days he was taught street fighting by the Captain’s coxswain. He’s not had much time for romance.
