HIGHT: 5’4”

HISTORY: Victoria was born the second child of Jones, who had resigned from the navy when he was married. Her mother died when she was six, so her father had raised her along with her older brother, Thomas. Her father completely devoted himself to his children, making certain that they had the best education, and he taught his children everything he could; how to ride a horse, hunt, shoot a pistol, rifle, and bow, how to use a sword and knife, and to use medieval weapons. And Victoria even learned how to throw knives with perfect precisian.

When she was ten, the navy tried to talk her father into rejoining the service, when he refused, they offered him a merchant ship and asked him to spy for them while he worked in trade. Not wanting to leave his daughter, Thomas cut Victoria’s hair, dressed her as a cabin boy, and put her in the book as Victor Jones. She has been to countless ports over the world and is fluent in several different languages. She lost her brother when she was thirteen during a pirate attack on their ship.

By the age of fifteen, her father was letting her command the ship. She was seventeen when Thomas was injured and had to go ashore to recover. Before he left, he made her captain of the ship. Victoria accepted command of the ship, but was having trouble hiding her gender as her figure was blossoming out of her control. At eighteen, she had developed into a very shapely young woman and gave up trying to hide it. She announced to the crew that her real name was Victoria and it was her father’s idea to pass her off as a boy. The crew had become loyal to her and continued their loyalty.

When the admiralty decided to have a ship crewed with women, they began to entreat Captain Jones, but she was not least bit interested, having worked with the navy before, and did not want to do that again.

It was only when her young cousin was facing a situation that would destroy the girl, that Victoria gave the admiralty her conditions for taking command of their new ship. Her demands were that they give her cousin a commission and that she could bring her master and friend, William Tindall.

PERSONALITY: As a leader she is strong, determined, and courageous. He never backs down form anyone or any situation. She’s a hard worker, and expects the same of her crew. She despises bullies, and loves to knock the wind out of their sails. She has a temper and does not tolerate people who think highly of themselves very well. She’s intelligent, and seems stern when you first meet her. However, she is really warm, loving, and outgoing, with a strange sense of humor.

As a child, she literally became a jester for her father and brother after her mother’s death in the hope of easing their despair, and so spent most of her younger years entertaining everyone with jokes and silly impressions.
