HISTORY: Lucy was born into a lower class family. After her mother died when she was ten, her father began to drink, then began to abuse her. For her fourteenth birthday he went out drinking and gambling with his friends. When he lost forty-one pounds to another man, he said he would give the man Lucy as payment. For each night he used her, a pound would be deducted from the debt. Unable to allow this to happen, Victoria got her into the navy and away from her father.

Victoria had her friend and sailing master William Tindall tutor Lucy about ships, the articles of war, and everything else she needed to know about ship for two months for half a day while she taught her how to fight.

PERSONALITY; She is sweet, intelligent, gentle, and witty, but very shy and lacks confidence. Like her cousin, she can be strong, but she has not realized that yet. She sees herself as weak and helpless.
