Sports Day 2003

香港鄧鏡波書院第三十六屆陸運會於零三年十二月十及十二日於黃竹坑運動場舉行，雖然兩天的天氣都有點冷但亦沒有令節目氣氛冷淡下來。同學亦創造了佳績，打破很多學校歷來的紀錄。
初賽全場最觸目的當然是有最多同學參與的公開三千米比賽。同學不但可以放下功課鬆弛神經，而且可以培養到如校長余神父於開幕禮所提及的團結及體育精神。

決賽當日最觸目的又當然是由老師和同學組成隊伍的師生接力賽。戰況非常激烈，由多位老師和多位同學的不同隊伍表現非常特別，而曙輝隊的杜sir更在最後衝線的一刻和Mr. Wallace爭奪季軍，令賽事的緊張程度提升到最高。學校邀請了一位外藉嘉賓，劉神父，做嘉賓，而他在閉幕禮字詞時提出了運動員應有信心而校監則提出運動員應堅持自己的信念。 第三十六屆陸運會在同學唱校歌和同學的鼓掌下完結。
The Annual Sports Day was held this year in 10th December 2003 and 12th December 2003 at Wong Chuk Hang Sports Ground.  As in any year, this is a big event in my school and many of our schoolmates will jump into the sports ground to the tracks or the fields for different events.  Many events were held during these two days including the annual 3000m run where around half of the school's students and many teachers and our principal participated in.  It was such a fun day!  Other than the 3000m event, there was also.....The day ended with singing the school song.
This is 7A's as well as my last Sports Day in Hong Kong Tang King Po College and it is really quite a good day for all of us for we can put away our textbooks for the time being and enjoy the day despite the cold weather (at around 15 degrees and winds blowing a lot!).
