Pictures from this inside of the church building.
A look through the doorway of the Jr. High Girls' Sunday School room into the Jr. High Boys'. This photo was taken from the furniture in the chapel.
The furniture in the chapel.
Bright yellow cubbies in the nursery, still stocked with personal belongings, add a bit of contrast to the soot-stained blue walls.
A view from the east door of the nursery, looking at the stair case that led to the third floor.
Amongst the blackened debris, brightly colored toys and equipment dot the floor.
Although the walls are lightly burned, childrens' attendance remains nearly perfect.
A few green Worship hymnals litter the soggy floor of a basement classroom.
A look outside through the closet across from the custodian's office in the basement hallway.
Gone is the pipe organ and other instruments, hand-crafted wood furniture, stained glass windows, pews and hymnals, but God and the memories will be with us forever.
A look through the gap that was a stained glass window into the basement hallway and the empty elevator shaft.
The glassless front doors of the church are held open by pieces of brick and rock that have fallen off of the building. No more is there any joy with you as you leave the church building. But the knowing that God is still alive and strong makes up for that feeling of hopelessness, sadness and loss.

The resource rooms and library are no longer in the way of looking into the foyer.
A walk down the basement hallway is made impossible by bricks, chunks of wood and other pieces of debris that have fallen in.
A Note From the Photographer- It is impossible to remember the true beauties of a building until it is destroyed if you take them for granted. As I walked through the building, I noticed things I had never noticed before. Things I merely passed by on a normal day-to-day basis, now stood out to me as something I wish I could have truely seen when they were there before. The arched, stone passways in the basement hallway and in the open area on the next level, right outside of where the youngest children met for Sunday school, popped out at me, seeming to say "Look at me now! You paid no attention to me before, but here I am!" As we wait for the new meeting house to be built, and as we enter it for the first time, look at what seem to be ordinary objects and be thankful for them. The future is uncertain, and even if the objects are new to us, God has known about them literally forever, and has the ability to take them away at any time he feels the need to. Be thankful for all of God's beautiful creations, whether natural or man-made. Take a long look at them, so you don't have to be sorry you missed them at the end.
