Education:

North Carolina A&T State University, BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering

HLI Experience:

HLI has been an ever-flowing source of rewards. The students discover their interests and hopes/plans for the future, the parents acquire the necessary tools to help achieve these goals, and as mentors, we receive the reward of knowing we've helped a young person get excited about the road ahead, while arming them with the survival skills to get them through.

Advice/Life Philosophy:

· Always try your hardest to do YOUR personal best-that's all anyone can ever ask of you, and that’s all you should expect of yourself-your very best!

· "You must remember that you were born of blood of Kings and Queens and you can't be stopped"-jdj

Education:

Winston Salem State University, BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry

HLI Experience:

I think HLI is a wonderful program. I have been involved in mentoring programs before but HLI by far is the best. I am glad that I am apart of such a dynamic group of students and adults. Preparation for the future is very important, and  I think the HLI experience can be a program used across the country to prepare students on what to expect before they exit high school. The key is to capture them while they are young and nurture them into productive citizens.

Advice/Life Philosophy:

· Anything that is worth having is worth working for!

· Put GOD first, dare to be different, do not sit around and wonder why, dream new ideas and say why not!
