RAGA 'N' ROCK
 | EMC in the brand name of SYMPHONY GROUP
organized RAGA 'N' ROCK, an inter college music
festival, which was held on December 17th, 2004 on
college campus. This event is the first of its kind, which was
completely organized by the students. We, the
EMC are greatly thankful to our respected principal. |
| SYMPHONY GROUP, under the supervision and guidance of professor in
charge, Mr. H. R. Bharucha, started its work and planning the things
to perfection.
Again, the EMC is greatly thankful to our respected professor in
helping us out. Without whose help it was not possible to unit and
work with a goal. |
| The concept for the programme was proposed by MUSIC CLUB of HLCC,
under the supervision of professor in charge, Mrs. N. S. Bhavsar.
MUSIC CLUB has achieved a great success over the years under excellent
supervision. A simple example is that, the college produced a ROCK
BANK named HiLites and its core members
associated with this project are Dibesh Saha, Chintan Shah, Krishnadev
Yagnik. |
| This event was held in HL campus where more than 2000
under-graduates attended the function. Passes were sold and students
of others colleges were also allowed specially of sister institutes.

| EMC got a lead sponsor TAKE OFF EDUCATION with sub sponsors like
Reliance, Arihant Institute, Garuda, SBI, Shah Alloys. They were the
backbone of the event. |
| All colleges affiliated to Gujarat University participated,
which includes Science, Arts, Commerce, BBA, BCA etc colleges.
Invitation letters and brochures were sent to concerned colleges. |
| Much to add cream to event, in its very first year of introduction
of the rolling trophy, HLCC bagged the College of the Year RAGA N ROCK
trophy. This was indeed a great achievement. College Music band came
first in competition and made its name. Indeed, it was a really great
idea. |
