| It is Spring time! Time for little animals, flowers, warmer weather and Easter! Easter is associated with Rabbits, Eggs, lambs, chicks and CHOCOLATE! The Story of Easter Easter is celebrated by Christians all over the world. Easter has been around for over a thousand years, and come from the time of Jesus. On Good Friday, Jesus was put to death at the cross. Then on (Easter) Sunday He came back to life. Eggs and baby animals are around at Easter tosymbolise new life. Easter Traditions Easter is one of the most important events of the Christian calender, so many Christians go to church on Easter Sunday. Egg traditions include- Egg rolling competitions, decorating eggs, hanging decorated eggs on trees, and, of course, eating chocolate eggs. Easter Food Chocolate eggs are ,of course, on the menu at Easter, but what about other things? Lamb is often eaten for Easter lunch and Simnel Cake for dessert. |
