playground school bell rings again
rain clouds come to play again
has no one told you she's not breathing?
hello i'm your mind giving you
someone to talk too
hello...
'I cant believe you did that!'
"He's a big boy, he knew the risks." She recapped the lipstick in her hand tossing it down on the small table amongst all the clutter that had become her own personal space inside the locker room of Evolution. "If I've learnt anything off Hunter it's that once you step in that ring there's no time for friendship." She ran her hand along her jaw were a bruise was already starting to form. "Not even between him and I."
'But Jeff?'
"Jeff is weak." She hissed under her breath. "Rainbows and sunshine will not get me what I want."
'And what is it that you want?'
"Enough with the questions already... I dont have to explain my actions to you." Taking up her hair brush she hastily ran it through her hair.
'If I dont question your sanity-'
"No one else will blah blah blah heard that spiel already, but 'hello' talking to myself here!" She rolled her eyes letting the brush drop from her fingers to join the lipstick atop the table.
Her gaze lowered to the items scattered on the table. 'You never use to be this messy'
"Yeah well I never use to be alot of things." In her mind she saw two bodies wrapped around each other both glistening with sweat, one looking for dominence, the other just wanting to feel.
'Dont do this'
If I smile and dont believe
Soon I know I'll wake from this dream
"Please..." She sneered seeing shaking her head as she got up to leave. "It's all part of the bigger picture... all apart of me."
Dont try to fix me I'm not broken
Hello I'm the lie living for you so you can hide
Dont cry
She winced as she made her way back up the ramp, tasting the blood in her mouth where Edge's booted foot had connected with her cheek. He hadn't meant to of course but that distraction alone was enough for Hunter to shift the match to his liking, low blowing the other man before setting him up for the pedigree.
When she had been with the Hardy's she had used any means at her disposal to help them win, even if that meant her getting hurt in the process... and she didnt see why that had to change now.
"You did good out there," a hand on her shoulder stopped her from following the rest of Evolution into the locker room.
She raised her eyes to meet the cold, intense gaze of the man who held her fate in his hands. looking at him but not really seeing, another nifty trick she had learned... one that came in handy when she needed to tune out the antic's going on behind a closed hotel room door. Was that praise she heard in the voice of the celebrel assassin?
She shrugged. "I did what I had too."
He seemed to want to say more so she waited like the good little flunky she was but after a moment of silence with just their eye's communicating in a hidden language or of there own... she lowered her's not having the energy or the will to decipher that language.
Suddenly I know I'm not sleeping
Hello I'm still here
All that's left of Yesterday
He reached out once again stilling her efforts of entering the locker room turning her back around to face him, that same arm moving up to cup her cheek before his mouth moved down to claim hers.
'You think he loves you, you think sharing a bed with him every night will get you what you want... didnt work for Stephanie so why would it work for you...'
She opened her eyes as the ever present voice inside her head resounded in her ears and she saw herself reflected in a window across the hall, her arms were folded across her head and her hair shook around her shoulders as the girl reflected there sadly shook her head.
'...but all you are is his sledge hammer reincarnated.'
The End
