MISCELLANEOUS * (2026/03/04) Director Teddy Chan Tak Sum held a press conference for his new book "Pawn Shop of Life" yesterday, Bowie Wu Fung, Chin Kar Lok, Lawrence Cheng Tan Shui and Lee Lung Kei were present to support him. He revealed that he published the film novel to present the long-created script in another form. "Some scripts are backlogged at the bottom of the drawer, and I have not found an investor to start filming. During the pandemic I met a group of like-minded creative writers to turn the script into a novel, which can protect copyrights, prevent idea theft from happening again. In the future should the opportunity present itself its rights could be sold again for its big screen adaptation." Chan Tak Sum said that he has been preparing for the action film 1941 to raise fund for the Hong Kong Stuntmen Association to help the aging action actors without any saving. "I would produce, Chin Kar Lok would direct, (Louis) Koo Tin Lok, (Nick) Cheung Ka Fai, (Charmaine) Sheh Sze Man and (Daniel Wu) Ng Yin Cho would star, along with (Sammo) Hung Kam Bo, Yuen Biao, Yuen Qiu, (Andy) Lau Tak Wah, Tsui Hark and Yuen Woo Ping, members of YOUNG AND DANGEROUS (GOO WAT JAI) and INFERNAL AFFAIRS (MO GAN DOH). Jackie Chan, (Jet Li) Lee Nin Kit and (Donnie) Yen Chi Tan was considering it." He said that the script has been under inspection and funding would not be a problem. The film would shoot on location in Hong Kong and the mainland at the end of the year. Chin Kar Lok said that the production team would mainly consist of local staff, hoping to push Hong Kong action films to new heights. The Hong Kong Stuntmen Association president for a 6th consecutive term, he said that has already "climbed to six" and received his JoyYou card. He has planned to complete this term and hand the baton to the young people to take over. "The affiliated organization has applied for government assistance and would organize Hong Kong stunt actor training class that would give graduates internships on 1941." * (2026/03/04) The Liu Kuan-Ting, Jennifer Yu Heung Ying, Tin Kai Man starred the Taiwanese movie DOUBLE HAPPINESS has had decent word of mouth since its release. Recently the three of them were interviewed together. Tin Kai Man praised Yu Heung Ying's Best Actress title was well-deserved and not by chance. He admitted that he wanted to receive his first film award nomination in his life with this film, while the Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actress Yu Heung Ying and the Golden Horse Award Best Supporting Actor Liu Kuan-Ting almost slipped up in front of the fully comedic elder Tin Kai Man. He admitted that he often improvised to create real reaction, constantly making the two leads "steam crab" (trying not to laugh). Playing the bride, Yu Heung Ying has become widely popular in Taiwan as many viewers said that they wanted to marry her and take her home. However her confidence to try for the Golden Horse Award Best Actress has not increase, instead she felt her co-star Liu Kuan-Ting would very likely be nominated for Best Actor. DOUBLE HAPPINESS after two weeks in release in Taiwan has collected NT$ 47 million (around HK$ 11.58 million). The three admitted that they were nervous about the Hong Kong box office. Facing the topical Lunar New Year film NIGHT KING (YEH WONG) and THE SNOWBALL ON A SUNNY DAY (GUM DOR BO) as well as cinema circuit film scheduling issues, Tin Kai Man could only say that if the audience would support the film, he was confident that no one would be disappointed. The film tells the story of the groom Kao Ting Sheng (Liu Kuan- Ting) and the bride Ng Doi Ling (Yu Heung Ying), who faced the man's father Kao Sheng Hong (Tou Chung-Hua) and his mother Bai Yan Hsin (Yang Kuei-Mei) who had been at odds for many years and fought to organize the wedding ceremony on the big day. Kao Ting Sheng teamed up with his father in law Old Ng (Tin Kai Man), the wedding consultant (9m88), best man Big Tsai (Kent Tsai) to attempt two wedding ceremonies in one day. Yu Heung Ying said that after receiving the DOUBLE HAPPINESS script, she really liked it and was moved after reading it. However she was truly a little surprised by the Taiwan audience's fondness for her character. "The audience super like this character, some people even say hat they really want to marry me and take me home." She felt that her bride role was attractive because she was very sunny in the film. "The male lead is heavier in comparison, being in a relatively depressed condition on the wedding day. He was very nervous and had a lot to take care of. I kept supporting him by his side." Acting in a Taiwanese film for the first time, Yu Heung Ying stated that she was very confident in the film but was still nervous about the Hong Kong box office. Ultimately two other Lunar New Year films have been in release. Tin Kai Man hoped that Chinese films could fully bloom and the audience would have more choices, saying that he was confident that the audience would not be disappointed when entering the cinema. Liu Kuan-ting also said that he was very nervous. He said that he was just as nervous as "wife" Yu Heung Ying, and joked that he felt like he went to the "in laws". He did not know whether the "in laws' would be very upset from seeing Yu Heung Ying suffer at his home. After working with Louis Koo Tin Lok on BEHIND THE SHADOWS (SI GA JING TAM), he was happy to work with Hong Kong actors again and praised Yu Heung Ying for her professionalism. She wore wedding dresses and high heels everyday, while the boys were already uncomfortable just wearing leather shoes. Brother Tin also shared his experience. "I never imagine after meeting Yu Heung Ying for the first time at the Asian Film Awards we would so quickly have the chance to work together. She has to carry the bride's condition throughout, everyday she is the earliest on the set for makeup. I feel she is very professional. What more needs to be said about Big Brother Tin Kai Man. When you were little you had to have watched his movies. I felt that being to able to work with an actor I really worshipped when I was little was quite an honor. During the production he shared a lot of experience with me." When asked about the difference between Hong Kong and Taiwanese actors, Heung Ying pointed out that Hong Kong and Taiwan actors have similar emotional processing, but Hong Kong actors are naughtier and love to improvise. Many Taiwanese actors are from professional backgrounds and read books very professionally during their breaks. She thanked everyone for taking good care of her and Tin Kai Man, and thanked Yang Kuei-Mei for sending a red shawl to keep her warm and often checking up on her. Grew up in a single-parent family, Yu Heung Ying said that this time she realized her inner desire in the script. "My Papa is a very traditional and hides everything, but in the film Tin Kai Man and I depend on each other; on the day of the wedding he expressed the love in his heart, which moved me so much. Tin Kai Man told me what I have always wanted to hear." She laughed and said that when she saw Tin Kai Man during the filming that day, as soon as she knelt down and poured the tea she cried, not due to her acting skills but real emotions. Tin Kai Man worked with Yu Heung Ying for the first time, admiring her for crying on cue. "This Best Actress is well-deserved, not by chance, not picked up, she's really good." He praised the crew for the good atmosphere, people were queuing up everyday to treat, every time they have been ingenious. As for Liu Kuan-ting, he wanted to taste roast pork the most when he came to Hong Kong this time. Tin Kai Man admitted that Hong Kong cinemas at the current level was very one sided. Film scheduling would not schedule too many shows. Although DOUBLE HAPPINESS is a Taiwan film, as an actor he only hoped with different subjects and teaming to provide more chances to the audience. "I am very confident too, certain that the audience who go to the cinema wouldn't be disappointed. Perhaps this movie is very different from other movies. I have always emphasized film needs variety. At least everyone would accept my and Yu Heung Ying's performance. This teaming of her and Liu Kuan-ting is also very couple like." With her first Taiwan film Yu Heung Ying has already been so welcomed and had such a good result, would her confidence to try for the Golden Horse Awards Best Actress be increased? She said, "No, but Liu Kuan-Ting would probably have one this year." Liu Kuan-Ting humbly said right away, "I don't dare to think about that, it's more important for the audience to like it." Engaging in behind-the-scenes work in recent years, Tin Kai Man said that he enjoyed being an actor this time and felt that he had acting talent. Also in his first Taiwan film, Tin Kai Man admitted that he wanted to receive the first film award nomination with DOUBLE HAPPINESS. "I have never thought about he Golden Horse Award Best Supporting at all. This time I really enjoy the performance as purely an actor, which I have been pretty pleased with. I discovered that actually my acting actually has some talent, but for one or two scenes, I suddenly became a producer or a director identity and taught others. I got a little too nosy, so I don't know whether the director like that or not." * (2026/03/03) Louise Wong Dan Nei and Fish Liew Chi Yu participated in the Lunar New Year film NIGHT KING (YEH WONG), which was released in the mainland for 11 days and as of yesterday exceeded 1.45 billion yuan (about 1.65 million Hong Kong dollars) at the box office. This was the third time the two have collaborated, and fans praised them for the impression of couple, and even held up paper signs to ask "Can the director write Wong Dan Nei and Liew Chi Yu to play lesbians in the next movie?" Speaking of the dance scene, Liew Chi Yu admitted that it was difficult. She praised her co-star Gardner Tse Kwan Ho as a dance master, and thanked him for taking the lead. Another co-star and girl group COLLAR member Sumling Li also advised from the sideline. * (2026/03/03) The "Hong Kong Society of Cinematographers" held a dinner the night before, Louis Cheung Kai Chung received the Most Charming Actor Award in the eyes of professionals from director Andrew Lau Wai Keung, and Chrissie Chau Sau Na won the Most Charming Actress Award. After being sued by wealthy businessman Martin Lee Ka Shing for defamation in the High Court, Chau Sau Na made her first public appearance and was in good condition. Chau Sau Na thanked the photographers she has worked with for allowing her and the characters she played to show their charm. "Since joining the film industry, the directors, photographers and all the staff I have met have been very good to me. Hong Kong films have brought me a lot of gains and touches." She revealed that she has been on a rare break recently and planned to travel abroad to enjoy a short break. Cheung Kai Chung posted on social platforms about how he felt about winning the award. "Thank you to the Hong Kong Society of Cinematographers for presenting this award to me, especially accepting the award personally from the hands of director Lau Wai Keung. I cherish this moment very much." He said that winning the Most Charming Actor Award in the eyes of professionals was a great encouragement, and thanked every photographer he has worked with. Everyone has worked together to do their best for every shot, and they have been very important partners. Two nights ago many elders he has admired were on hand, so he felt honored and grateful to receive this award. Cheung Kai Chung also congratulated fellow winner Chau Sau Na and Leung Ming Kai, who won the Most Outstanding Cinematographer of the Year. He also thanked two very important people in his life, Boss Koo (Louis Koo Tin Lok) and his wife Kay Tse On Kay. * (2026/03/02) Kelly Chen Wai Lam held a new song THE FRAGRANCE OF MEMORY musicvideo press conference and movie LAVENDER (FUN YI CHO) screening at the cinema the night before. Kelly said that Kong Hoi Ka (AGA) wrote the new song two years ago. AGA also liked the movie and songs of LAVENDER, and the concept of the new song could be regarded as a continuation of the film. Kelly laughed and said that she rewatched the movie with Takeshi Kaneshiro (Gum Sing Mo), admitted that she also missed him and hoped to have the opportunity to work with him again. Kelly bluntly said that she was ready to start a side track show, and a long-lost "male god" will join her in March. Chen Wai Lam said at the meeting that she has collaborated with Gum Sing Mo three times, including the movies LOST AND FOUND (TIN NGAI HOI GOK), ANNA MAGDALENA (ON NA MA DUT LIN NA) and LAVENDER. She said with a smile, "I remember when I was filming LOST, Gum Sing Mo and I were not familiar at all. He often looked at the sea alone like an artist, and I thought to myself, 'You are quite boring.' When I made ANNA we started to get acquainted, because (Aaron) Kwok Fu Sing was present to create the atmosphere. We became even more familiar when filming LAVENDER. Because it was just the two of us, we would have bad breath if we didn't talk day and night; so we became friends, and our chemistry was even better." Chen Wai Lam said that the new song was inspired by LAVENDER and was recorded two years ago. It was only released now completely because she was waiting for the director to finish the music video. "The director has many ideas. He wants to ask Gum Sing Mo, and he wants to shoot in France. It's too much! We don't have such a big budget." Why did she not ask Gum Sing Mo to perform in the new song music video? Kelly said, "Because I couldn't find him, I rarely contact him, and I miss him a little. Now watching the movie again I felt that at the time we were rather pretty well matched, very romantic." Kelly also said that the new song music video deliberately went back to the locations of LAVENDER at Central, but unfortunately most of the scenes are unrecognizable. The original restaurant has now become an empty shop, which was quite depressing." She said that after watching Gum Sing Mo in SONS OF THE NEON NIGHT (FUNG LUM FOR SHAN) he already felt drastically different. "Now he has turned into a big brother. At the time he was a young man. We were very romantic. * (2026/03/02) Carlos Chan Ka Lok, Louis Cheung Kai Chung, Power Chan Kwok Bong, Macy Ma Sihui and director Ng Ka Wai went to Causeway Bay yesterday to attend the promotion of the new film ULTIMATE REVENGE (CHUNG FUNG: FOR PING), gave away popcorn and guessed the popcorn flavors with fans. Many fans were drawn to line up. Chan Ka Lok and Cheung Kai Chung play a police officer and a robber in the new film ULTIMATE REVENGE. Cheung Kai Chung said that their characters have personal grudges in addition to being antagonistic in the film, and he would also take revenge. The two were nominated for the Hong Kong Film Awards for "Best Actor" at the same time, which could be described as fighting from on to off camera. Cheung Kai Chung believed that being nominated was already a success and a win-win situation. Chan Ka Lok was nominated for the first time after many years in the industry. He was very moved, thanked the industry for the affirmation given to him and the friends who helped him along the way. Regarding his friend Michelle Wai Sze Nga's excitement and tears when announcing the nominations, Ka Lok pointed out that her expression made him sublimate that emotion and even revealed that he has jokingly told her to pretend to read his name no matter what. "Who knew that when I saw her expression when she opened the letter, I still thought, 'Are you acting or really moved'? Seeing her getting more and more excited, I suddenly had a feeling of 'could there really be a chance'?" He admitted that the two have been in the industry for eighteen or nineteen years and have experienced a lot side by side. He believed that she was truly happy for him. His wife Shiga Lin was so happy that she screamed wildly when she learned the news, and even more excited than him. Would he walk the red carpet with his wife on the day of the award ceremony? Ka Lok said that of course he wanted to, but his wife would be going elsewhere for work in mid-April, and he hoped that they would be able to coordinate the schedule. Cheung Kai Chung said that the whole family was happy for him to be nominated, facing off two Best Actors Louis Koo Tin Lok and Tony Leung Ka Fai. Cheung Kai Chung said frankly, "Being nominated is already a great affirmation. I have already handed in the best homework, so I can walk the red carpet with my head held high. Within my own ability, I have overcome many things to play the role well. I am proud of myself." He would invited his wife Kay Tse On Kay to accompany him and help him stabilize his emotions. Chan Ka Lok said that Heaven would decide the outcome, and he was worthy of the role he played. He could not help but cry on the spot after learning the news of the nomination. Cheung Kai Chung's son Cheung Jim went to Australia to study a few days ago. He described the feeling "like a broken heart" and still have not been able to let go. Fortunately, with the advancement of technology they could often meet via video. He even have found that his son has changed from "read" to "response in seconds", and now everyone's relationships are closer. He laughed and said that if his younger daughter also went overseas to study in the future, he would follow her and even emigrate. He also laughed at himself that now he would cry so easily that he would be for being suitable for making romantic films. He said that on the day of bidding their son farewell, both he and his wife cried and had no appetite to eat in the terminal. After boarding when the flight attended served meals he was already in a pool of tears. Fellow father Chan Ka Lok smiled and said that he tried not to think about these problems. Because his daughter has grown up a little now, not letting him hold on has not felt good. Playing the role of a policewoman in the film, Ma Sihui joked that she was lucky to have a group of young men around. She could appreciate the handsome men while being protected so she felt happy. The hardest part of the film was running and lifting guns. Would she feel that she would need physical training after filming? As one of the members of the girl group VIVA, Macy said, "VIVA is training every day, because we signed up for a sports competition that requires the cooperation of four people. We will soon release a new song, I hope to release it in April." Chan Kwok Bong said that he was very happy to constantly come out to promote recently and would not be accused of being dull, because his daughter Chan Chun also said the same and thought he was annoying. However he had no plan to deliberate change how he and his daughter got along, feeling that as long s the family atmosphere was harmious it as fine. He also pointed out that on his 58th birthday earlier, because his wife and daughter were both in Thailand, he made an appointment with Louis Yuen Siu Cheung to celebrate. * (2026/03/01) The Jennifer Yu Heung Ying, Fish Liew Chi Yu, Elizabeth Tang Tao, Natalie Hsu (Hui Yan Yi) and others starred new film GIRLFRIENDS (NUI HAI BUT PING FAN) is Tracy Choi Yan Sin directed and held its premiere in Macau two days go. The film theme song performer Panther Chan Lui also attended. Nominated for the Hong Kong Film Awards for the first with her 2017 film SISTERHOOD (GWUIT MUI), Macau director Mak Yan Sin sentimentally said, "10 years ago, Liew Chi Yu, Yu Heung Ying and I collaborated on SISTERHOOD, which was also a story that took place in Macau. Now the three of us collaborate again on GIRLFRIENDS, which is also shot in Macau. This city carries an unique meaning for us." Playing a couple in the film, Liew Chi Yu and Yu Heung Ying have been close friends private for many years as well. Liew Chi Yu said that working with Yu Heung Ying again after a very long time, they instead did not need to communicate much to have great compatibility and chemistry already. She revealed that when she watched the back of the director backstage she had a variety of emotions, as she once shed tears and said that it has actually been 10 years in the brink of an eye and she thought of a lot that happened 10 years ago in Macau. Yu Heung Ying was moved for the director Choi Yan Sin for having a movie that she really liked and was very proud of 10 years later. Tang Tao felt that Macau was a place where people were very tightly connected, and the film had this feeling. During the shoot she also often "ran into friends", which made her feel that Macau was truly very special. Hui Yan Yi pointed out that the graduation karaoke scene made up for her regret of being unable to attend her graduation party due to job. Chan Lui created the theme song ORDINARY PEOPLE, citing that the audience would understand the deeper meaning of the song title after experiencing the movie at theaters. * (2026/03/01) The Lunar New Year movie NIGHT KING (YEH WONG) held a New Spring audience appreciation ceremony yesterday, director Jack Ng Wai Lun led a group of actors Fish Liew Chi Yu, Siuyea Lo Chun Yip, Renci Yeung Sze Wing, Dee Ho Kai Wah, Sumling Li, etc. to share with the audience and take a group photo, and announced on the spot that the film has grossed more than 65 million (Hong Kong dollars, the same below) in Hong Kong and Macau since the Lunar New Year's Day to become the eighth highest grossing Chinese language film in Hong Kong history. Some of Yeung Sze Wing's scenes have been cut, which upset her enough to make a post. Yesterday she attended the event with illness and did not respond to the interview. She coughed numerous times at the scene and did not smile until Ah Dee said that he wanted to thank her. Ng Wai Lun wanted to send the lead actor Dayo Wong Tze Wah to invite her to dinner; On the contrary, Liew Chi Yu and Lo Chun Yip's roles in the movie were brilliant and impressed the audience. They both agreed that they felt like they have won the lottery! Director Ng Wai Lun bluntly said that he was very satisfied with the box office results, and would like to thank the audience for their support. His wish was to break the HK$ 115 million box office of his last film A GUILTY CONSCIENCE (DUK SIT DAI JONG). Has there been any box office figure betting this time? Ng Wai Lun said with a smile, " Starting the bet before, Wong Tze Wah said not to gamble anymore. He was probably afraid of losing again. He still hasn't paid up for last time." Liew Chi Yu pointed out that Tze Wah has often treated on the set, and Ng Wai Lun said with a smile, "One thing at a time, I want to get one more meal out of him." Speaking of Yeung Sze Wing who attended yesterday with illness and left without an interview, her kiss scene with Ah Dee in the film was deleted and her figure was criticized; which made her post to express her displeasure. Ng Wai Lun responded, "She didn't say it in front of me, actually everyone is sensible; Lunar New Year films have to avoid some intense scenes." Would an extended version be released to bring this kiss scene back to the light of day? He said that he has not received a notice from his boss, but he also understood that as an actor when the scenes she worked hard to shoot would not be seen in the finished product, she would definitely be unhappy. Since Yeung Sze Wing has always liked Tze Wah, he might as well make Tze Wah take her to dinner to cheer her up. Ah Dee also moaned about the scene's deletion, but he laughed and said that he did not need to pay him any attention. Actually every actor's role in the film has more or less been deleted. The role Liew Chi Yu played this time has received unanimous praise. She said that after many years of acting, she finally had a role that left a place in the hearts of the audience and received unprecedented attention. She felt like she won the lottery. Ng Wai Lun also praised, "She hit the jackpot herself, and only a good actor can convey the direct feeling to the audience." Regarding Liew Chi Yu's movies in recent ears have all exceeded 10 million at the box office and being dubbed "Lucky Fish", she humbly said that she was lucky enough to get on the ride that would surpass 100 million at the box office every time. In addition she has not been the one who carried the movie but just kept "tagging along", so she has been able to se the scenery of breaking 100 million together. The director made fun of her for "working indiscriminately", she laughed and said, "Working indiscriminately is great too!" She has been rumored to purchase a home with fengshui that was beneficial to her career, she said that she did not look at fengshui. The most important in a residence was comfort and ample sunlight. Would she ask for a raise? She joked, "Not cutting pay is already great. I hope there would be no more cut and keep having movies to make. (Did NIGHT KING cut your salary?) This time I have been lucky to get this role." Lo Chun Yip this time played the big villain, and received scolding and praising alike from the audience. He happily said that the role was able to show the charm of the villain, which also made him both love and hate it. "Everyone yelled at me for all 70%, saying that I was oozing with villainy and wanting to beat me up; but they also understood that the character grew up unhappily in his family of origin. I too feel like I have won the lottery, playing a role with such dimensions and allowing me to go to a new territory." He also said that he has played some scummy roles in the past, and would not mind continuing to be a villain in the future. He was not afraid of being stereotyped either, because having a job was already very rare. Ah Dee while thanking the audience thanked his sick partner Yeung Sze Wing for tolerating the smell of garlic cabbage in his mouth during the kiss scene, which was really difficult for her. Yet this scene was deleted, her figure was commented on and made her unhappy? Ah Dee said that was understandable. "Actors sell art, I get that everyone has the freedom to discuss. Yeung Sze Wing has always had the heart to be a good actor and do a good job." He declared that he has been unhappy too. He was criticized for being bad looking in the past, and he wanted to cry when he talked about it. "But I am so strong, and I will be happy again in the end. Just let me be!" The director said that he would make Tze Wah to take Yeung Sze Wing for dinner, but he would not be invited? Ah Dee smiled and said, "The more I talk about it, the more unhappy I am. I don't feel like eating, so I just eat their leftovers! Actually 70% of my scenes were deleted, but I also focused on the overall situation." He once "took off his pants" to thank he audience for a good box office performance, and joked that if NIGHT KING would reach 200 million he would remove two pairs of pants. Sumling Li said that she has had scenes deleted as well, among which was a sad scene in which she was in a bath with Cheng Sau Man to talk about why she fell into becoming a "escort". The filming started in the early morning and the two of them soaked in hot water for two hours, but it was also cut a lot shorter. She understood that the New Year movie release should be happier. If there would be an extended version to tell more of their different stories in the future, she hoped that the audience would support it too. * (2026/03/01) Michael Hui Koon Man, Elaine Jin (Kam Yin Ling), Chung Suet Ying, Jiro Li Sheung Ching and director Philip Yung Tsz Kwong went to the theater yesterday to continue to thank the audience for the Lunar New Year film THE SNOWBALL ON A SUNNY DAY (GUM DOR BO). Although Hui Koon Man only made a cameo appearance as Kam Yin Ling's husband, Kam Yin Ling was very grateful to him for allowing her to express her true feelings during filming. She said that her favorite scene was seeing Hui Koon Man turning around and smiling at the betting branch, saying that he was professional, respected the film industry and supported the director. With his warmth toward her, she was able to smile in this scene with real emotions. She could not help but cry when she talked about the touching parts, the scene was moving. Philip Yung Tze Kwong said that he was very grateful to Hui Koon Man for participating in the audience appreciation screening, feeling that Grandpa role had to be performed by him. He also explained to the audience the reason for the number 38's appearance in the film, showing Grandpa and Grandma's marriage certificate dated March 8th. In addition, Yung Tsz Kwong earlier posted on social platform to express his displeasure at the discrepancies between showtime scheduling and yesterday said that he would not accept any interview. Hui Koon Man revealed that he was writing a story about Alzheimer's disease, but director Yung Tze Kwong shot it first and even made it into a comedy; so he agreed to perform without any hesitation. He said, "This movie is about my two favorite things, respecting the elderly and the warmth of family." Hui Koon Man also strongly praised Chung Suet Ying for her good acting skills and being the future hope of Hong Kong films. As for his long time co-star Kam Yin Ling was also able to make him forget himself in the performance. Hui Koon Man admitted that after finishing his script in the future, he hoped to have the opportunity to work with them again. Speaking of Yung Tsz Kwong once criticized the lack of shows scheduled for affecting box office revenue. Hui Koon Man believed that the impact has not been great because the box office has already exceeded 10 million, and people who like this movie would definitely come to support it. Winning the 41st Hong Kong Film Awards Best Supporting Actress with the Yung Tsz Kwong directed WHERE THE WIND BLOWS, Hui Koon Man said that he did not deliberate come to support the director due to THE SNOWBALL ON A SUNNY DAY scheduling issues. He said, "I have always supported Director Yung. He used to make horror films and deranged films, but this time he actually made a comedy. Seeing that he did a good job in arranging for the ending, I hope to have the opportunity to collaborate again and he can ask me to play a deranged killer." Hui Koon Man and Dayo Wong Tze Wah's THE LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK) have broken all the records, but this time he had to face off against NIGHT KING (YEH WONG). He hoped that all films would be able to break records. Did he feel the film scheduling has been unfair? He said that he saw THE SNOWBALL ON A SUNNY DAY also had many shows. "Film showing scheduling more or less have a little influence, but not the biggest influence. If the movie is entertaining, people would watch it no matter what. I have always had this belief." Hui Koon Man participated in THE SNOWBALL ON A SUNNY DAY audience appreciation event for the first time, saying that he knew other actors have been very tired from thanking the audience over many days. For his first participation the feeling was very fresh. "I feel very happy, because having the chance to make this movie is my dream. Originally I was writing a story that respects the elderly about Alzheimer's Disease, suddenly the director said that he was already writing one and I was already too late. This film is about two things I want to talk about the most: respecting the elderly and family togetherness; I also really like the actors, I have always wanted to work with Chung Suet Ying, she is the future hope of Hong Kong film. Kam Yin Ling has always been my 'old lady' in film. In youth we have already worked together in THREE OF A KIND (JIN YEUNG SAM BO). This woman's acting is very sharp, which makes me forget that I am acting. This time she plays my wife only in the memory for several minutes, I am very touched," Praised by Hui Koon Man in person, Chung Suet Ying did not feel pressured. Instead he was very happy to be able to get in close contact with her seniors, and said that the new generation of actors are all working hard to perform. She hoped that the audience will go to the cinemas more to support Hong Kong films. Earlier as Jace Chan Hoi Wing's concert guest, old footage from her ATV competition was dug up. She said, "It's pretty funny, waking me up to what I did when I was a minor. As long as I don't do it again it's fine, I absolutely have never thought of becoming a singer again." Lee Sheung Ching revealed that today he would thank the audience with his face twin, MIRROR member Lokman Yeung. Would they sing MY MEMORY ISN'T MINE with him? He joked that he would not do anything that was no longer his expertise. * (2026/02/28) Mary Jean Reimer (Yung Jing Jing)'s YouTube channel program "Dangerous People 2.0" recently interviewed Shirley Yim (Suet Lei). They have known each other for 47 years. The two are of similar age, have similar early life trajectories; both debuted as minors, and both have experienced love with older men, early marriage, and childbirth. On the program they talked from their views on love to their harsh past in show business and revealed secrets. Claiming to have regretting falling in love Lau Kar Leung, Yung Jing Jing aid that a director once threatened her with a gun and attempted to violate her. Suet Lei was drunk when a television station executive groped her, luckily Wong Shu Tong intervened. Yung Jing Jing asked Suet Lei whether she had any ambiguity with Jackie Chan? She avoided answering and asked, "What business is that of yours?" In addition, Tang Siu Juen responded to the unspoken rules of the entertainment industry on "3 Treasure Channel" yesterday, saying that a TV station producer took him to a night club. Suet Lei said that when she first met Yung Jing Jing in the TV station's dressing room, the first thing Yung said was, "I'm not afraid of you, I'll call my mother!" Suet Lei also replied, "I'm not afraid if you call your mother to come, let's go out and have a fight!" Nothing came of the incident; later Suet Lei knew that someone was sowing discord, and Yung Jing Jing misunderstood that Suet Lei was talking bad about her behind her back. Suet Lei clarified that when she saw Yung Ching Ching's photo, praised her for being beautiful but not going to school was a pity, but someone distorted what she said and claimed that she accused Yung Jing Jing of stealing the role. Later they made up and even became good friend with the just as strong willed Isabella Wong Man Ying. Yung Jing Jing said that Wong Man Ying faded out of the film circle after making the movie PROJECT A, and the rumored in the circle was that the actresses who have worked with Jackie Chan have had scandals, but certainly Wong Man Ying was an exception because she would resist to the end. Yung Jing Jing said that the road to enmity with Jackie Chan was narrow, and reiterated when she helped Elaine Wu Yi Lee seek justice, but Suet Lei seemed avoidant and said, "Skip!" Yung said, "Should I be afraid that he has teeth? He's older than us, and his teeth all fell out." Yung asked Suet Lei if Jackie Chan has harassed her back then? Suet Lei said, "What business is that of yours? (There are rumors about you) You ask the one spreading rumors to tell." Yung said that consensual relationship was fine, but if he must not force others to comply. Suet Lei agreed and said, "I can't be forced." The two talked about their underage debut on the show and had unpleasant experiences; Yung Jing Jing said that she had just finished filming ENCORE (HOK CHOI). Once she went to the bar of the Excelsior Hotel with Teddy Robin Kwan and others to listen to jazz. Teddy Robin asked a fellow director to take Yung Jing Jing home first, but the director did not take her home but to his residence. He also got handsy with her in the vehicle, and even took out a gun to threaten her; Yung Jing Jing did not submit and started fighting with him. She claimed to have studied kung fu, described the director as short in stature, warned him that she was underage and he would go to jail if he succeeded. In the end she escaped and doubled back to the hotel to tell Teddy Robin that she ran into a rapist. Suet Lei's experience is similar to Yung Jing Jing's, saying that when she went to a nightclub with a large group of people. She was drunk and lying on the sofa when a TV executive at the time groped her. Luckily Wong Shu Tong stood up, yelled, "You are messing with a little girl?" and punched him, allowing her to retreat with all of herself. Yung Jing Jing fell in love with Lau Kar Leung, who was more than 30 years older than her; and Suet Lei and Norman Chui Siu Keung were also more than ten years apart in their romance; Yung Jing Jing recalled the past and regretted, "These old men, they were adults and we were kids. They shouldn't take advantage of us like this, no matter how much we like you, you have to reject us." Yung Jing Jing watched the movie "LOLITA" a few years ago and felt that even if she wanted to escape what happened to the female protagonist, the man always had a way to keep her; making her seem to be in a predicament from which she could not get out of and she stayed until the end out of loyalty. Looking back on this relationship, Yung Jing Jing said that she regretted it. She felt that it was a super negative teaching material, and was glad that her later study of law created another world. Suet Lei said that she has never regretted falling in love with Chui Siu Keung, "I love him the most", and believed that various experiences have created her resilient self now. Yung Jing Jing recalled that not long after Suet Lei gave birth to her daughter, they met at a wedding banquet and could not help but tell Suet Lei that she witnessed Chui Siu Keung hugging another woman. Suet Lei emphasized that her final decision to break up with Chui Siu Keung was not based on Yung Jing Jing's whistleblowing, but the result of her personal search for the truth. Suet Lei also mentioned that her ex-fiancé Lo Wai Lik married Wong Man Ying, joked that she had inadvertently become their matchmaker and had no grudge against each other. In addition to Yung Jing Jing and Suet Lei, Tang Siu Juen also talked about the unspoken rules of the entertainment industry on "3 Treasure Channel" yesterday, saying that actresses will take the initiative to cling to the high-ranking officials. Earlier at an industry insider's event he witnessed a new female star with her eyes on a married producer, but was unable to close the deal and switched her target to the director. He saw them leave in pair and had no idea where they went. Siu Juen also said that when he first joined the TV station, he was twenty-four or twenty-five years old. A producer asked him to go for a drink together after work at 1 a.m., they ended up in a night club and he asked Siu Juen to pay the bill/ The amount was his salary for several months. He went home and told his father, and Brother Cheung (Sun Ma Si Tsang) called him dumb. * (2026/02/28) The movie ULTIMATE REVENGE (CHUNG FUNG: FOR PING) is scheduled to be released in Hong Kong on March 5th. Playing the police, Alex Fong Chung Shun and German Cheung Man Kit both have a lot of action performances in the film. The 62-year-old Fong Chung Shun did not rely on stunt doubles to go into battle. Also an action director, Cheung Man Kit did not hold back at all and eventually tore his muscles and suffered injuries. He still shouted that fighting was fun enough. In the new film ULTIMATE REVENGE, Fong Chung Shun performed many action scenes in person without using a stunt double, and action director Cheung Man Kit laughed and said that he originally wanted to watch over him, but in the end he was unable to. Fong Chung Shun joked, "Maybe he thinks I'm still very young!" Cheung Man Kit admitted that he did not expect the 62-year-old Fong Chung Shun to be so fit. During costume fitting he thought that he was very fit and even had six pack abdominal muscles. Fong Chung Shun pointed out that he has always exercised and has made movies for decades, he knew which stunt he would be able to handle. Did he enjoy making action films? He laughed and asked that if everyone wanted to hear the truth or lies, the truth was that to shoot a scene without dialogue and action would be the best. "Yet now that the market is sluggish, the production budget would not be much, and it will be completed within two months. It wasn't easy for everyone in the cast and on the staff in every post." This time Fong Chung Shun could be described as a desperate performance, jumping off a overpass, jumping off a building, rolling down the stairs, a series of gunfights, taking off and running wildly with the propane canisters, all of which he personally performed. During the shoot he did not feel any scene was the most difficult, because compared to the fight scene between Cheung Man Kit and On Chi Kit (Andy Tien) everyone was already taking it easy on him, there was a big difference. Everyone has already taken it easy on him, and he was not injured during the filming. Also an action director, Cheung Man Kit was injured because he was too involved in the performance and had too much pressure. He bluntly said that he was very nervous about wearing two hats, and he had difficulty falling asleep because he wanted to do this well. He trained himself to only take a short rest during makeup. He lasted like this for more than two months and he did not feel tired, but his body sounded an alarm. "At the end of filming, there was a fight scene with On Chi Kit. Both of us were looking forward to it. He was an actor I have always respected, but after filming three shots, the calf muscle of my right leg was torn and I collapsed at the scene. At the time I really wanted to keep shooting, but I couldn't even stand up. The whole crew asked me to go to the hospital, so I had to go for an examination. I found out that I was fine; the muscle was torn and could not be treated, so I had to wait for the wound to heal slowly and naturally." The day after being discharged from the hospital, he immediately returned to the set in a wheelchair to continue filming; but some shots had to be changed to him kneeling on the ground or fighting seated with the help of the camera, relying on a stunt double to help. Finally three months later, his injury improved, and he reshot some more shots. "This time I was so regretful and very unwilling, but I also learned to believe in my team. I was too nervous at the time and my temper became irritable, but people have limits, and it is not possible to do it just because you have the will to persist in working hard. For future movies, I would let actors rest." This leg injury has prevented Cheung Man Kit from returning to his pre-injury state. Now he has regular check-ups every month to carefully handle and protect the injured area, since he did not want to affect his future work. Cheung Man Kit this time had to arranged the action performance of all the actors. He has also evaluated everyone's "substance" before hand, in particular before the shoot he participated in the casting. He gave special thanks to the director for letting him play one of the roles of a just policeman. "Actually, it's a waste for me not to be a villain or a killer. Thank you very much to the director for seeing the other side of my acting." As for most of the actors in the film, especially On Chi Kit and Louis Cheung Kai Chung, he has known for a long time. He has also worked with Fong Chung Shun before. Knowing that everyone has experience, he felt that Cheung Kai Chung and Carlos Chan Ka Lok's fight scene in the shopping center is very stylish, and he himself and On Chi Kit's fight was even cooler. "We know how to shoot action scenes, meeting good opponents is something very enjoyable; many of them will be very accurate, and the speed and rhythm are easy to match." Fong Chung Shun has made a lot of action movies when he was young, but for him this was really the hardest movie with the most action scenes he has made in recent years. A reporter laughed and asked him if he would make another action movie? He smiled and pointed out that in this current situation, having a job was already great. He would first measure his personal ability, and he would not want to hinder everyone from finishing work if he could not cope with it. In addition to the action scenes this time, there are also several brotherhoods in the film, among which a brotherly encouragement scene between Fong Chung Shun and Chin Kar Lok brought out a strong dramatic flavor. Fong Chung Shun said, "It's pretty OK, frankly speaking, if the boss gave more production budget it would be much better. Ultimately when filming starts, it's unlimited omakase of non-stop fighting; we are not a big productions that would be able to build a street to shoot, but the effect from the actual location would not be bad." Cheung Man Kit also said that the realism of the actual set was so strong, which was easier for actors to act. However how to control the scene during the filming process was very difficult, which was a big challenge. One of the major filming challenges in the film was filming the gunfight action scenes in the downtown area; especially shooting a gunfight in Sham Shui Po, which is usually bustling. Cheung Man Kit said that even though he has already applied to the relevant government departments for filming, he always hindered the public during the street closure. He had to communicate politely with the citizens and shops, hoping to get coordination in the first two days of filming. He also mentioned that the shooting of the car crash and explosion scene on Granville Road in Tsim Sha Tsui had to be filmed in two parts, and after the first day of filming, the merchants on the whole street filed complaints. Finally the boss had to come forward to communicate before he could shoot for another day, but the actual official filming time for two days was not much. From preparing the camera to the car crash to the explosion time, it was quite tight. With the street that was very long, and the staff walked around and moved the machine also had a very hard time. Completing this scene as not easy. * (2026/02/27) Fish Liew Chi Yu has recently received a lot of praise for her role as "Mamasan" in the movie, but some online pointed out that she was not beautiful. "Maybe she doesn't suit my aesthetics", which attracted heated discussions. Even Fish joined the fray, saying that everyone has a different eye for aesthetics; there is no need to doubt themselves. She successfully repelled haters. Meanwhile Edan's fans continued to sponsor designated theaters to watch movies for 8 bucks all day, pumping up the box office for their idol with actual action. Since the release of the Hong Kong Lunar New Year film NIGHT KING (YEH WONG), its box office and word-of-mouth have exploded. The popularity of the nightclub goddesses in the film has skyrocketed, among which "Mamasan Mimi" Liew Chi Yu was no exception. Her sexy style and beauty have won a lot of praise. However, a few days ago, some online posted that the outside world praised her too much and doubted, "Maybe she doesn't suit my aesthetics", which immediately attracted heated discussions. Even Fish also paid great attention to it and responded graciously, "Everyone has different aesthetics, so there is absolutely no need to doubt yourself." Fish did not forget to share her aesthetics, bluntly saying that she was definitely not beautiful in the circle. She admitted that she felt inferior from time to time, but she added, "But low self-esteem is not beneficial, so I work hard to overcome it." She mentioned that she recently noticed on social platforms that many people praised her for her brilliant performance in the movie, and she humbly said: "The appearance has been very helpful to me with playing this role, with the deliberate red lips to get close to the feeling of 'sexy'. The camera, the lighting, the body language, the eyes, everything adds up to make Liew Chi Yu in this film feel particularly 'beautiful'." Afterwards she found out that the person has deleted the post and she felt sorry, emphasizing that it was just a rational discussion. In addition, "Kwai Fong" Choi Wai Kei with her less than fluent Cantonese in the film successfully broke through and was praised by the audience as "the most promising comedy star". Graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts, she has won many scholarships and won the "Outstanding Actor Award" for the stage play "THE ADDING MACHINE". Half a year ago she left her drama troupe and took jobs as a free agent. Also a Lunar New Year film, the Edan Lui Cheuk On starred THE SNOWBALL ON A SUNNY DAY (GUM DOR BO) has had constant gossips since its release. The director has even spoken out for the "Heaven and Earth Showtime" scheduling. Fortunately the box office has continued to rise. Edan's fans have continued to work hard. In addition to chartering private screenings, they have also shared recommendations with relatives and friends and uploaded highlight clips, photos, etc., to assist in the promotion. The Edan Fan Support Association will rush back tomorrow to sponsor the all-day performances of designated theaters, and the audience can watch the movie for only HK$ 8. As of the Hong Kong box office record the day before yesterday, in first place NIGHT KING has a cumulative box office of HK$ 57,706,743, in second THE SNOWBALL ON A SUNNY DAY has a cumulative box office of 11,489,833, and in third BLADES OF THE GUARDIANS has a cumulative box office of 5,602,988, while the box office of NIGHT KING in mainland China has exceeded 100 million yuan RMB (about 1.14 million Hong Kong dollars) yesterday. * (2026/02/27) Hong Kong Stuntman Association Spring Banquet was successfully held on the seventh day of the Lunar New Year, and the Hong Kong film industry associations attended and supported it, with guests including Ng See Yuen, Joe Cheung Tung Cho, Tsui Siu Ming, Stanley Tong Kwai Lai, Andrew Lau Wai Keung, Teddy Chan Tak Sum, Xiong Xinxin, Yeung Pan Pan, Yeung Ching Ching, Ma Yan (Wu Ma's wife), Jade Leung Jung, Sin Lam Yuk and members of the association, and the 105-year-old Master Yeung Kwok Yuen (Fa Jai Yuen), etc. In his speech President Chin Kar Lok revealed that the Association will launch two new projects this year, including the "Stuntman Training Class" in May to nurture the next generation of stuntpeople, and the Association is planning to make an action movie to promote action movies, hoping to provide jobs for industry professionals and provide internship opportunities for graduates of the training class. Every year, the Association holds special awards to recognize the efforts and contributions of seniors and current colleagues to action movies. This year's winner of the "Outstanding Contribution Award" is director Tong Kwai Lai; the winners of the "Outstanding Action Performance Award" are: Xiong Xinxin, Yeung Ching Ching and Chan Chun Fung. In addition, all the guests and members voted for the "Outstanding Action Movie" as BACK TO THE PAST (CHUM CHUN GEI) (Action Director: Sammo Hung Kam Bo). * (2026/02/27) Angela Yuen Lai Lam, Sabrina Cheung Man Sha, Ng Wing Sze, CY Chan Chung Chak, Max Cheung Tak Lun, Wu Cheuk Hei and Brian Lee Hoi Yin attended the premiere of "GAMER GIRLS: Unleash Your Heroic Soul" at MacPherson Arena the night before (25th), and the actors were full of confidence for the opening box office of the movie. Kayan Ng promised that if there would be a good box office result, she would accept the audience's suggestion for the actors can do anything and she would try her best to satisfy everyone; Yuen Lai Lam felt that the best way to give back to the audience was to play video games together, and to meet the audience in a cosplay style at the meet- and-greet. She pointed out that the best video game player was CY, he also taught the girls to play video games during the filming. CY humbly submitted that Alma Kwok Yi Kwan was the video game expert. Among the girls, Yuen Lai Lam thought that she and Ng Wing Sze could be ranked second. In the future each actor would have to attend audience appreciation screenings all over to pump up the box office. Yuen Lai Lam pointed out that she has been constantly thanking the audience at previous preview screenings, and Cheung Man Sha said that the film was selected for the "Bright Future" section of the 55th Rotterdam International Film Festival (for feature film that would make its debut on the screen internationally). Foreign viewers already discovered her connection to Kayan in the film after just one watch, but Hong Kong viewers had to watch it once more to discover this set up. This time the premiere took place at the McPherson Arena and everyone felt it was pretty special. Yuen Lai Lam admitted that the filming process was hard, and it was not a big production; but everyone liked the spirit of chasing dreams expressed in the film, continuing to fight even though they knew they would lose. "We all understand that the film market is very difficult now, and these small productions like ours would have a very difficult time to compete with others; so we all fight with the spirit of knowing that we will lose." In addition, Kayan Ng's pay was delayed after attending the event earlier. She said that the progress was good and she has already received her pay, but she was not at liberty to disclose the actual figure. In short, it was a satisfactory result. Brian served as the emcee the night before. Often foul mouthed, he laughed and said that he has been a wedding and large-scale event emcee in the past. He would know how to speak according to the occasion. For example now during the New Year he would greet people more. Recently he opened an online channel to share food, and invited Sammi Cheng Sau Man, Louis Cheung Kai Chung and others as guests. Brain said that in the future he would like to invite Louis Koo Tin Lok, Juno Mak Chun Lung and Eason Chan Yik Shun to dinner together. Would he ask Goo Jai to sing "Boyfriend" while eating? Brian said that he did not know how to sing, if Koo Tin Lok would be willing to teach him he would learn right away. * (2026/02/26) Since its establishment on the eve of the millennium in 1999, Emperor Entertainment has entered the "25+" milestone this year, and has also witnessed the growth memories of different generations. The "25+ Emperor Ensemble Concert" will light up the main venue of Kai Tak Sports Park on May 4th, with a total investment of more than HK$ 100 million. At that time Emperor's artists will come out to stage a surprise cross-generational collaboration, so that the classic melodies that have accompanied everyone for 25 years will be shockingly reproduced in the form of creative collaborations. Nicholas Tse Ting Fung laughed and said that more than half of his life has been related to Emperor, and Joey Yung Cho Yee has regarded Emperor as her home and looked forward to using her "unique skills" to share with everyone the unique human touch and unity spirit of Emperor Entertainment. The concert's subject is "Ensemble", and the core meaning of the concert is to co-create with peers, combining music, singing and performance, film, drama stage, dance and cross-border performances, etc., and is determined to build Kai Tak into a "century paradise", traveling with the audience through the past and the future. The Chief Operating Officer of Emperor Entertainment Group Mani Fok Man Hei also shared, "Dr. (Albert) Yeung Sau Sing once said that where there are people, there is entertainment, and to connect with this land and people, I believe that concerts are the most direct and most accessible way to have fun with everyone." As a member of the "original level" of the Emperor, Nicholas Tse said emotionally: "I grew up in Emperor, and I often laugh that more than half of my life is related to Emperor. Seeing the entire family has more and more new members joining in, I feel joy from my heart. I myself am looking forward to having collaborative sparks with them." Yung Cho Yee said, "Since my official debut at Emperor Entertainment in 1999, I have grown with the company over the years; which is not only the starting point of my career, but also the starting point of my life. It is here I gained valuable family and friendship. For me, Emperor is my home, and boss, boss lady and every colleague are my family. I am very much looking forward to sharing with you the unique human touch and unity spirit of Emperor Entertainment through music and our 'unique skills' this evening." The concert invited a lineup of hall-of-fame creators, including: the Hong Kong Film Awards Best Director and the chief director of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao National Games Andrew Lau Wai Keung to serve as the chief producer; multiple time Hong Kong Film Awards winner William Chang Shuk Ping to serves as the art director; and the master-class music producer who served as the music director for Tse Ting Fung's Kai Tak concert Carl Wong Sheung Chun. Lau Wai Keung said, "Since its establishment in 1999, Emperor Entertainment has brought many popular classic songs to the Chinese world, and how to present the twists and turns and connections in stage and film techniques is a big challenge for me. I look forward to bringing a feast of multi-sensory enjoyment to the audience." Chang Shuk Ping believed that the lineup of film and television artists of Emperor Entertainment is huge, including many heavyweights and potential artists in the industry, and is of great importance in the global Chinese entertainment and cultural industry. Wong Sheung Chun said, "This collaboration with two heavyweights, based on the origin story of Emperor Entertainment, with a visually stunning and unexpected music lineup, runs through the classic period songs created by Emperor over the past 25 years, leaving a deep mark on the Hong Kong music scene, which can be regarded as a big breakthrough for me." The main visual poster was designed by local illustrator sketchup, using hand-drawn small fresh style, depicting all the singer units under Emperor, capturing everyone's small expressions and small movements, showing their humorous nature. * (2026/02/26) The "Metro Broadcasting Chinese New Year Gathering" cum Program Parade was held yesterday (the ninth day of the Lunar New Year). CEO Steven Ma Chun Wai led a group of management, directors and program hosts to attend, and together with the "treasure of the station" Nancy Sit Ka Yin and guest Nancy Wu Ting Yan and others to host the lion dance eye dotting ceremony. Dozens of singers such as Albert Chau Kat Pui, Vic Teo (Cheung Yu Sun), Vincy Chan (Wing Yi), Mike Tsang Pei Tat, Yumi Chung Yau Mei, and Windy Zhan Tianwen were invited to pay New Year's greetings to the audience, attracting a large number of fans to watch, and the scene was lively. In addition to the New Year's greetings, Metro Broadcasting also announced on the spot that the "Metro Hit Awards Ceremony" will usher in a major reform, and the number of awards will be reduced to 48 to enhance the quality and recognition of the awards. In addition, new forces such as Kaman Kong and Karen Kong Or Wan also joined the hosting lineup. * (2026/02/26) Taiwanese actors Liu Kuan-Ting, Jennifer Yu Heung Ying and Tin Kai Man starred movie DOUBLE HAPPINESS held its premiere in Tsim Sha Tsui the night before. Liu Kuan-Ting even gave everyone New Year greetings in Canotnese. Many people in the circle also went to support the show that night, including John Chiang Dai Wai, Fish Liew Chi Yu, Siuyea Lo Chun Yip and Zoe Yu Kit Ying. DOUBLE HAPPINESS has collected NT$2.7 million (about HK$ 6.71 million) at the box office in just 6 days after its release in Taiwan, which Yu Heung Ying admitted was a little within expectation. She expressed confidence in the script and hoped the box office would exceed 100 million. She laughed and said that many people said they wanted to marry her after watching the film, and she was really flattered. "I have never received so many compliments in my life." Regarding the accusation that she and Liu Kuan-ting were suspected of using foul language when filming the quarrel scene, Yu Heung Ying smiled and said that she did not if her memory served. "However everyone feels like I did, so I just let it be." Liu Kuan-ting tried to prove her innocence, and praised Yu Heung Ying and Tin Kai Man as very outstanding co-stars. If the Hong Kong audience liked his performance, he would be happy to come back to Hong Kong later to thank the audience. Yu Heung Ying promised that if the box office of DOUBLE HAPPINESS in Hong Kong would be able to reach HK$20 million, she would dress a wedding dress to thank the audience. Tin Kai Man praised the film's premiere in Taiwan, turning the cinema into a wedding banquet venue and attracting a large number of onlookers. "Hong Kong should learn from it and interact more with the audience." Regarding the Hong Kong box office of the film, he pointed out that the most important thing is that the audience likes it. Yet he has paid attention to the recent scheduling turmoil of Hong Kong films, and he believed that good movies would naturally have supporters. When asked if he has invited his old friend Stephen Chow Sing Chi (Sing Yeh) to watch the movie, he said with a smile, "I have invited him, after congratulating on my film release he didn't respond. If he wants to watch he naturally would." When asked when Sing Yeh's new work WOMEN'S SOCCER will be released, Tin Kai Man said that he only knew that it will be released within this year. He laughed and said that he only cared about when Sing Yeh will give out lai see. He said that he saw the video of Lam Tsz Chung and his children trying to get lai see from Chow Sing Chi and got emotional. Tin Kai Man joked, "I called Fat Boy Chung and asked if his children took away all of Sing Yeh's lai see, because every year I would have Lunar New Year dinner with all of Sing Yeh's company colleagues. Sing Yeh would give lai see. He has never been cheap in this area. The $500 lai see has never gone up over 20 years. He doesn't know about inflation." Lo Chun Yip and girlfriend Liew Chi Yu appeared one after another. Lo Chun Yip denied that Fish was mad because he has not yet given a Valentine's Day gift, explaining that although he had to start work that day he had dinner with Fish and the team in the evening. During the Lunar New Year was also busy thanking the audience and paying New Year visits. Have his family and friends urged him to get married? He smiled and said, "No, that's not popular now. (Did your girlfriend rush you to get married?) We don't walk at a rushing pace." He said that he has talked to Fish about getting married, but seemed to be uncertain about the scale of the weedding. "Making it big would cheerful, but I saw (Terrance) Lau Chun Him and (Cecilia) Choi Sze Wan's wedding format. It is rather light and worth considering." Liew Chi Yu attended her friend Yanny Chan Wing Yan's wedding and thought about an overseas wedding, but Lo Chun Yip joked that he had to save money first. Fish admitted that since her hometown is in Malaysia, if they would wed in the future they may need to set up banquets in two places. Currently work came first though. She hoped that NIGHT KING (YEH WONG) would have good box office results, so that film company owners would start more movies and they would have jobs and save money. Liew Chi Yu was very happy that her NIGHT KING performance has received . Liew Chi Yu hoped that the original team would work together again. Philip Yung Tsz Kwong was upset that his film THE SNOWBALL ON A SUNNY DAY (GUM DOR BO) has been arranged "Heaven and Earth" showtimes, criticized "film schedule hogging" and took a beating. Liew Chi Yu was not at liberty to comment much, but thought that everyone had the right to express their own opinions and experience. "He very sensibly say what he thought, the most important is peace between everyone and wealth in the New Year. At THE SNOWBALL ON A SUNNY DAY premiere, NIGHT KING members have attended in support." Regarding Fish's earlier Best Actress nomination for this year's Hong Kong Film Awards for SOMEONE LIKE ME (JEUNG NGOR JEH YEUNG DIK OI CHING), the film was also nominated for the Hong Kong Screenwriters' Guild's "Best Film Character Award 2025", Lo Chun Yip said that he was happy for Fish and praised her outstanding results last year. Fish hoped that the team would make some gains, and even hoped that the movie would be re-released. Because the Tai Po fire tragedy took place during the release at the end of last year, peple lost their mood to enjoy the film. Was she confident that she would win? She joked, "Yes! I have confidence! Because it may be my only time in this lifetime, I have to have confidence in myself first!" [ In Production Now/Soon ] FINE DYING Can : But Dut But Ho Sei d. Once a rising star in Hong Kong, a devoted carer for her elderly mother, a single mother struggling to make ends meet, and a widower yearning for connection – they each clutch fading fragments of dignity, community, and hope in a place as worn and forgotten as they are. The film portrays these fragile souls reaching out for connection – and discovering how far loneliness can stretch. Growing up within this immigrant community, the director witnessed firsthand the resilience of immigrants, creating a poignant meditation on displacement, aging, and the delicate threads that bind us all. Vancouver International Film Festival [ VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2025 ] Timothy Yeung's film is a story of big losses, small triumphs, and moments of grace amid the grind of capitalism — in other words, life itself. Four Hong Kong immigrants are living lives of desperation in Scarborough, Ontario: Dan was a pop singer on the rise before his move to Canada, now he's barely scraping by; Eva is a lonely woman whose commitment to her aging mother has held her back in life; Fan is a part-time sex worker struggling to break into real estate; Tony is an aging widower whose factory job is at risk. Through these characters, Yeung explores diasporic alienation, economic hardship, and social isolation. His film is rich in cultural specificity, but that never obstructs his wider view. Building outwards from private hopes and personal pain, he creates a rich social document that cradles within it four precious human portraits. Tam, Yeung, Lee, and Wong are superb — their performances ring with commitment and authenticity. REVISIT Can : Hung Won Gok d. Unfolding in the faded opulence of Tsim Sha Tsui's Mirador Mansion, it charts an unlikely bond between grizzled veteran Tai Bo and rising star Kuku So—he a mysterious rescuer, she a teenager running away from her mother's abusive partner. At first Alice (the Wonderland echoes ring deliberately) rebuffs her grizzled savior's gallantry. But their shared loneliness catalyzes a fraught rapprochement amid the mansion's crimson-lit maze. Chow wields colorful yet noirish atmospherics with a maestro's command, the dank stairwells and flickering fluorescents conjuring palpable peril. As this intricate two-hander hurtles toward its cathartic climax, you'll be gasping—not just from the suspense, but from sensing the new lifeblood pulsing through the story. Injustice has reigned over the quiet town of Shek O in Hong Kong. Chu Po is a young masked vigilante out to help those in need and kick a baddie’s ass. Just as her social-media popularity increases, so do her frequent injuries, as she learns that her beginner's skills may be no match for those of more experienced fighters. Fate draws her to a local church infested with illicit drug-dealing activities. She soon realizes her connection to that church is more personal than expected as there's a link to her family's past. Should she simply stay in the shadows and pray for a miracle, or put her karate chops to good use? An rejuvenated ode to both THE KARATE KID and the action heroines of Hong Kong's Golden Age, the latest from director Ricky Ko after his award-winning TIME (Fantasia 2021) once again nicely combines nostalgia and modernity with a potent mix of martial arts, humour, sweetness, and compelling characters, OUT OF THE SHADOW offers a guaranteed good time, a reminder of why we love HK movies so much in the first place. Starring several rising stars from Hong Kong, including two actors reunited after Fantasia favourite PORT OF CALL (2015), OUT OF THE SHADOW is fresh off several Asian festivals, and makes its first stopover in the West at Fantasia before it hits its home territory this fall. – King-Wei Chu [ OASKA ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL 2024 ] Chu Po is a sprightly teenage girl with a strong sense of justice but her mother, Tao Kuen Ying, would rather they keep a low profile in the fishing town of Tai O. Amid the government's increasingly strict surveillance, the students of Class 3-E looked back on their year with Korosensei. Memories resurfaced — the fading doodles they drew on Professor Bitch, the special swimming lessons, the clashes with the students of Class A, and Valentine's chocolates. The classroom bustled with nostalgic conversations. Meanwhile, during winter break, Korosensei was targeted by a group of four assassins, but as always, he easily dodged their attacks. Later, when he visited the izakaya they frequented to tease them, he ended up saving the blind owner, Azusa, who was burdened with debt, and her daughter Hotaru, from a certain incident. Through this encounter, Korosensei once again strengthened his resolve: to accept his fate, yet fulfill his duty as a teacher with all his might until the very end. Another day began as usual. The students of Class 3-E continued their attempts to assassinate Korosensei before the school year ended, while Korosensei, with a smile, deflected their attacks and praised their growth. And in the ending, the "graduation album" —Korosensei's final task— reveals a glimpse of their future, leading into the series finale. TOURNAMENT 12 THE 18TH d. However, fate played a cruel trick. During the Lunar New Year's "Snowball Draws", Sunnie was unable to place the bet, and that set of lucky numbers won a jackpot of HK$ 88.88 million. Not wanting to shatter grandmother's dream, Sunnie borrowed a villa from her filming colleague Jay Lai, claiming that it was purchased with the winnings. Sunnie's father, Ken Lam, mother Charlotte Tong, and younger brother Harry Lam, moved into the villa with her grandmother. Living together under one roof gradually healed their once-distant relationships and brought them closer. However, an unexpected incident ultimately revealed this well-intentioned "villa lie"... Opening February 12 2026 Trailer : https://youtu.be/njkoXJJiBq0 [ BROADWAY CIRCUIT ] Director Yoji Yamada, who has long depicted people living in Japan, tells a moving story that celebrates the joys of life in the ever-changing metropolis of Tokyo. This is a remake story of "Driving Madeleine" (2022). Koji Usami works every day as a taxi driver to support his family. He's delighted about his daughter being accepted on recommendation to a high school attached to a college of music, but his meager income makes him increasingly anxious about the accompanying enrollment fee, not to mention vehicle inspection costs, rent, and everything else he has to pay for. One day, Koji fills in for a colleague and drives to Taishakuten in Shibamata to pick up a 85-year-old woman Sumire Takano. Upon successfully finding Sumire in Shibamata, Koji is asked to drive across Tokyo and beyond to Hayama, way out in the neighboring prefecture of Kanagawa. Due to Sumire's advanced age, she finds even the knives to be heavy to hold, and feels unable to take care of herself while living on her own. So she has decided to live out her last years in a nursing home. On the way, Sumire makes Koji take several detours. Sumire gradually opens her heart to Koji, and she begins to tell him about her own tragic past. This coincidental encounter will move their hearts and change their lives. But he was never heard from again. Today, his father Lee Ka-chun uncovered 2 mummies near an unexcavated area of the First Emperor's mausoleum, with one of them holding a smart phone. When it was confirmed that the phone belonged to Randy and contained pictures of a bomb defuser called Hong Siu-lung, Lee Ka-chun persuaded Hong Siu-lung to go back in time and bring his son home. ------------ For the week starting February 28 2026 (Week 9) VIUTV CHILL CLUB CHART 5 POOR NICE GUY Can : Dai Gor Yiu Jo Gor Ho Yun Endy Chow Kwok Yin https://youtu.be/PhqUOaGYJDE 4 FATHER'S TOUCH Can : Lei Ji On Chan Kin On https://youtu.be/h6P0rY0go_E 3 COLD PLUNGE Can : Suet Chook Gor Mei Loi Mike Tsang Pei Tat https://youtu.be/cYsQeAfSeZ8 2 NO ONE'S WATCHING Can : Pong Yuek Mo Yun Jason Chan Pak Yu https://youtu.be/fKSzkXbkOGs 1 HUSH Can : Dong Gwai Han Ding Terence Lam Chun Him https://youtu.be/2aMDpiBI-Ls TVB JADE SOLID GOLD 5 MY LITTLE TINKER BELL Kenny Kwan Chi Bun https://youtu.be/SzhVVwfDrno 4 HUG HUG Honey Punch https://youtu.be/Hnq1xKu63uY 3 WHOEVER DOES NOT LOVE ME Can : Na Seh But Oi Ngor Dik Yun Phil Lam Yik Hon https://youtu.be/-ZcraUiwCwQ 2 LISTEN TO YOUR OWN VOICE Can : Ling Ting Ji Gei Dik Sing Yum Ryan Fung Hei Chit https://youtu.be/JAnTN0MhYWQ 1 FAREWELL AT THE CROSSROADS Can : Joi Sup Ji Lo Hau Go Bit Windy Zhan Tianwen https://youtu.be/ooQFPNH0yTQ METRO RADIO HIT DOMESTIC CHART 5 WHAT KIND OF LIFE DO I WANT TO LIVE?
