* (2024/11/20) Top Cantonese film actor James Lui Kay eased out of the screen in 
late 1980s and moved to the Taiwan.  Over the years his life has been in 
low profile.  Veteran media person Wang Man Ling yesterday on her online 
platform expressed that Lui Kay has lived reclusively in Taipei for over 
20 years.  She visited him there numerous times.  The last time they saw 
each other was in 2019, but starting in 2022 she has been unable to contact 
Lui Kay. Wang Man Ling said that in March or April this year she received 
news from Lui Kay's friends and family in Taiwan and Hong Kong that Lui 
Kay has passed away.  The news has yet to be confirmed.
	Wang Man Ling wrote, "(Missing Lui Kay) In April 2024, friends in 
Hong Kong and Taiwan came across rumors of Lui Kay's death.  I have always 
been found them dubious, tried to spend time to verify it from various 
sources continuously.  However, Brother Kay has settled down for more than 
thirty years in Taiwan, had a low-key style and rarely communicated with 
the outside world except close relatives and friends.  So far I haven't 
found any verified answer."  Connie Chan Bo Chu's son Dexter Young Tin 
King said in an interview with the media that his mother has no contact 
with Lui Kay and has no news; Nancy Sit Ka Yin also said that she has not 
heard from him for a long time and did not know about the rumors.
	Lui Kay was originally namd was Tang Juemin.  He was admitted to 
the Union Film Enterprise Ltd.'s actors training course in 1959.  In July 
of the following year, he joined the Shaw Brothers Cantonese film team 
with his sister Lee Man and starred in the film THE TRAGEDY OF NINE LIVES 
(GAU MING KEI YUEN) for the first time.  Lui Kay became an instant hit 
with MY DARLING WIFE (GUNG JI DOR CHING) in 1964.  Later, he was pair with 
Chan Bo Chu numerous times and made them the ideal screen couple.  Lui Kay 
was versatile and has made 99 movies, directed 29 films, wrote 35 works, 
and served as the producer of two movies.  His classic works include TEARS OF 
LOVERS (CHING YUN DIK NGAN LUI), FORGET NOT TONIGHT (MOK MONG GUM SIU), 
MOVIE FANS (YING MAI GUNG JU), THE PREGNANT MAIDEN (YUK NUI TIM DING), 
MAIDEN THIEF (YUK NUI SUN TAU), LOVE WITH A MALAYSIAN GIRL 
(LEUNG YEH JI LUEN) and THE HEART-STEALER (TAU SUM CHAK).  
	In 1974, Lui Kay founded the Golden Film (Lui Chi) Company that 
specialized in directing and producing soft-core erotica, including THE 
FOXY LADIES(GAU GAK NUI LONG), STARLETS FOR SALE (CHOI JI MING FA SING 
MA), THE STUD AND THE NYMPH (YUEN FU, YUM WA, FUNG SAT SAU), etc.  The 
movies were criticized for being pornographic and vulgar, and their 
reputation and box office were getting worse and worse.
	With the decline of Cantonese films, Lui Kay directed his last 
erotic work THE SEDUCTRESS (MING DAI TOH FA) in 1987 and retired from the 
entertainment industry.  He moved to Taiwan with his second wife Ling Tai 
to open a restaurant, while investing in stocks and buying properties to 
collect rent.  Lui Kay was once rumored to be living in poverty and 
working as a taxi driver in Taiwan.  In 2003, he denied this in a radio 
interview.
	Lui Kay had a son with his first wife, Kwan Wai Shan; but they 
later divorced.  Lui Kay later fell in love with actress Ling Tai, whom he 
had collaborated with many times; and they had two sons.

* (2024/11/20) The Media Asia movie THE ABANDONED TEAM (DUT CHUNG SIN SUN) will 
be officially released on the 28th of this month.  A "Dog Charity and 
Human Pet Integration Charity Priority Show" was held recently.  The dogs 
and their owners watched the movie together in the theater.  The house was 
full and very lively.  Directors and screenwriters Lee Chi Wai and Ho Ying 
Ngai, lead actress Amy Lo Wai Man, young actor Sean Wong Tsz Lok, and the 
dog actor CowCow who plays "Panda Boy" in the film appeared to express 
their thanks.  They took photos with the dogs and their owners, and Amy 
even received wet kisses by one of the excited puppies.

	AN ABANDONED TEAM is an inspirational film about an abandoned old 
man and his dog who support each other.  The relationship between humans 
and dogs is very close.  Two pet and human screenings were held at the 
beginning of this month, and the response was enthusiastic.  Last weekend, 
another show was held, and tickets were sold out quickly.  Amy was very 
moved when she saw the owners holding their dogs and watching the show.  
She said, "Dogs are not just pets, they are family members."  This time 
there were many smaller dogs.  Their owners dress them up carefully and 
they looked very cute.  During the question and answer game, one owner 
even raised his dog instead of his hand to answer the question, which was 
very funny.
	In addition Jay Fung Won Him, who made a movie for the first time, 
joined AN ABANDONED TEAM team on the first day and started filming a 
suspected breakup scene with his on screen girlfriend Amy.  Jay said, "I 
thought I would be so nervous, but it turned out to be fun.  Amy did a 
great job and set a good example.  After I got in the car and drove away, 
she continued to look at me from a distance.  She cried, but she couldn't 
cry too sadly.  She had two streams of tears dropping from her face."  Amy 
asked him about her cryng.  Jay said sweetly, "So pretty."

* (2024/11/20) A member of the girl group COLLAR, Sumling Li recently attended a 
film festival in Fukuoka, Japan, and represented her movie ONCE IN A BLUE 
MOON (MONG YUET).  Leaving the COLLAR members behind for the first time, 
she said that the solo journey was inevitably a bit lonely but she was 
still grateful for this opportunity.  She said with a smile that she even 
learned a few Japanese words to greet the Japanese audience with.  Sumling
will make a solo debut this year.  When asked if she has any expectations 
for the Newcomer Award, she said that she would keep a normal state of 
mind.  "I really enjoy the process of launching the work, but I don't have 
much expectations for awards."  Speaking of her teammate Marf who won 
multiple female newcomer awards last year,  Sumling did not feel any 
pressure from competing for the award this year.  "I am very happy for her 
and I am not stressed.  The award would be the icing on the cake.  (Would 
you ask Mama to attend the award ceremony?)  She is older and is better 
off watching TV comfortably at home."

* (2024/11/20) Emperor newcomer Polly Lau Yeuk Po has been actively developing in 
the film industry in recent years and has participated in performances in 
YOU ARE THE ONE (NGOR DIK SHUN POON NAM YAU), THE MOON THIEVES (DOH YUET 
JEH) and CUSTOMS FRONTLINE (HOI GUAN JIN SIN).  She is currently in 
theaters with the box office hit THE LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK).  As a 
newcomer, Polly was able to work with many seniors including Michael Hui 
Koon Man and Michelle Wai Sze Nga.  Polly admitted that she was flattered 
and praised Michelle as a nice person who would share her acting 
experience with her from time to time.  Regarding her role in the film THE 
LAST DANCE, she once doubted whether the director hired her because he was 
from the same company.  "I asked the director privately and he said it 
didn't matter.  He chose me only because the casting."  She thanked the 
director for the opportunity and encouragement.  The newcomer also hoped 
to challenge the role of a villain.  She smiled and said that she has often 
fantasized about being a villain in his mind, and would continue to strive 
for opportunities to participate in auditions in the future.

* (2024/11/19) Ken Law Ho Ming received his big breakthrough in the new film WISH 
COMES TRUE (BA HUNG FOOK LAI KUN YUT DIM) and performed a large number of 
dramatic scenes for the first time.  He was very grateful to his co-stars 
Ling Man Lung and Candice Yu On On for taking the time to rehearse with 
him before filming.  When he first entered the industry, he wanted to try 
many things besides action movies or drama series; but he never had the 
chance.  Ninety-nine percent of all his work was related to action.  This 
was a rare opportunity, but the large number of dramatic scenes made him 
feel very stressed.  Looking back at his own performance now, he could 
only give himself 7.5 points as he needed to strengthen his adaptability 
when acting with co-stars in dramatic scenes.
	Leaving TVB in 2021 has made Law Ho Ming even more comprehensive 
in his acting work, and more people have approached him to act in dramatic 
films and some large-scale productions.  Earlier in the movie INEXTERNAL 
(LUI YING OI HUP), Law Ho Ming not only had the opportunity to use his 
familiar Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but also worked hard to learn 
Burmese boxing and teach Angus Yeung Tin Yue.  Since Law Ho Ming has many 
movie ideas popping up in his mind from time to time, he works very hard 
to create and hopes to develop into a screenwriter.

* (2024/11/19) The Raymond Wong Pak Ming and Donnie Yen Chi Tan co-produced, Yen 
Chi Tan directed, Yen Chi Tan, Julian Cheung Chi Lam, Michael Hui Koon 
Man, Francis Ng Chun Yu, MC Cheung Tin Fu starred THE PROSECUTOR (NG POON) 
with special performances by Ray Lui Leung Wai, Mark Cheng Ho Nam, Sisley 
Choi Si Bui, Mandy Wong Chi Man, Justin Cheung Kin Sing, and a guest 
performance by Liza Wang Ming Chuen, will be released on Christmas this year, and the official 
trailer was officially released yesterday.  Among them the exciting scene 
of Yen Chi Tan alone against 100 that Kent Cheng Juk Si referred to was 
also unveiled.  Yen Chi Tan played Fok Tsz Ho, a role that was both 
dramatic and action.  It is also the first time he has appeared in a legal 
subject.  He played a prosecutor who strived to pursue justice and the 
truth.
	The movie told the story of a miscarriage of justice that was 
carefully crafted by multiple forces but caught the attention of the 
policeman turned prosecutor Fok Tsz Ho, who decided to investigate to the 
end and find out the final truth!  From the trailer, you can see gun 
fights and explosion scenes one after another; as well as a series of 
wonderful action scenes.  Among them, the first-person point of view 
fighting scenes seemed to directly bring the audience into the film, 
experience the exciting action world inside, and greatly increasing the 
sense of immersion.
	The other starring actors in the film have been kept secret until 
now, arousing the curiosity of the audience. This time in the trailer 
the cast of senior actors and young actors were finally announced one by 
one: including Cheung Chi Lam, Hui Koon Man, Ng Chun Yu, etc., as well as 
Ah Jeh Wang Ming Chuen.  Substance actors Kent Cheng Juk Si, Lau Kong, Yu 
Kang, Adam Pak Tin Nam, Locker Lam Ka Hei,Shirley Chan Yan Yin, Mason Fung 
Ho Yeung, Tommy Chu Pak Hong and others starred.  The young actors are also 
surprising.  Recently radiating in the film industry, MC changed from his 
singer image; he flew into the air and pounced on the suspect without any 
regard for his own life.

* (2024/11/19) THE LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK) held a poster and stills exhibition 
media experience day yesterday.  The exhibition will be on display for 
free for one month.  Actors Michael Hui Koon Man, Michelle Wai Sze Nga, 
Elly, Polly Lau Yeuk Po and director Anselm Chan Mou Yin attended.  The 
Emperor Group chair Dr. Albert Yeung Sau Sing even came to support the 
show and congratulate the film on exceeding HK$ 60 million at the box 
office in the first 10 days.  The 24th of this month would be Wai Sze 
Nga's 40th birthday.  The event presented a cake to her to celebrate with.  
When she blew out the candles, she laughed and said that this was her last 
birthday in the thirties and as "Ms. Wai".
	Hui Koon Man was happy that the movie had good box office and good 
mouth of word.  He pointed out that on the first day, he said that the 
film was a comedy.  The audience after watching it would cry, then feel 
that the world has become more beautiful and that they have liberated 
themselves.  He laughed and said, "Maybe only because of the good box 
office I would say this; I really want to congratulate the boss for his 
unique vision, because it is really not easy to invest.  When I first read 
the script, I already wanted to cry.  The director has his own way, 
insisting against adding comedic elements in some possibly funny scenes."  
Michael also pointed out that during the performance, he also forgot about 
Wai Sze Nga was an actress in a few scenes and treated her as her own 
daughter.  He really wanted to congratulate her, and hoped the film will 
not only 'break hell' but also break records.  "The film environment in 
Hong Kong is still rather difficult.  I hope it will lead to even higher 
box office records for Hong Kong films in the future."
	The boss Yeung Sau Sing was more than pleased with the film's box 
office exceeding HK$ 60 million and said that he did not dare to believe 
it.  Now he would be laughing even while dreaming.  He considered himself 
a businessman and did not have any great or noble idea.  He only wanted to 
make money.  The film now is already making money.  "It's really like a 
dream to be able to find (Dayo Wong) Tze Wah and Michael to partner up.  My friends 
said to me: Brother Sau, do you have a lot of money to make the coffin 
shop movie?  Hiring two comedians to make such a serious film, do you 
think you have money to burn?  Anyone who isn't making a comedy movie 
(with them) is crazy!  When I got yelled at I panicked a little, but since 
I already promised to make it I would have to tough it out."  Would an 
extended version be released?  Dr. Yeung said that it would be the 
director's decision, and joked that the director has become his boss.  
"When artists first start I am their boss, after they become famous they 
are my boss.  When I see (Nicholas Tse) Ting Fung and Joey (Yung Cho Yee) 
my legs would shake.  So whether I would make a comedy for Tze Wah and Hui 
Koon Man, it would be the director's decision.  (Tze Wah suggested making 
'Villain Hitting'?)  We have to shoot under the Bowrington Bridge, 
otherwise there would be a riot!  However I am confident 
that THE LAST DANCE would break Hong Kong box office records."  Director 
Chan said that he would wait until THE LAST DANCE's performance to get 
a little better before making the decisions.  The extended version would 
only run ten or so minutes more, as he would return the deleted actors' 
scenes as soon as possible.  Was he confident about become the third HK$ 
100 million box office director?  He said that he would try his best and 
leave it up to the ancestors.  Speaking of a raise for the director, Dr. 
Yeung joked that a raise would put him in bankruptcy.  The producer 
suggested a gradual increase.
	 Hui Koon Man stated that he has been very excited lately, because 
for decades he kept racking his brain to make 
Hong Kong people laugh, get out of the doldrums and let go a little.  The 
director was very strong.  "I recently went out, and someone said that they 
have laughed with me for decades, and now they are crying with me.  I have 
never tried it before.  This movie is really magical; all of the audience 
in Hong Kong after shedding tears were relieved.  Let go of the situation 
in Hong Kong a little, start over after breaking through hell.  Hong Kong 
people will definitely be fine.  Although they don't know the way forward 
yet, Hong Kong people are very smart and knowledgeable.  I hope to 
continue to make more good movies, let’s have more fun together and 
encourage each other."
	He was still filled with emotions after seeing good results?  
Michael frankly said that the Hong Kong film market was in bad shape; in 
fact, Hong Kong as a whole was also in bad shape.  Some people complained 
that the government have not been much help, but actually all walks of 
life must do a good job in their own industry.  "So I come back to work as 
an actor, support good scripts and characters, and hope to continue the 
momentum of Hong Kong films.  The audience now is very talented and has 
increased in level.  Movie productions around this caliber isn't too much 
for them; they want to see good movies and new elements.  To make good 
movies for everyone, young directors and screenwriters are very important.  
We must encourage screenwriters to create even more daringly, like this 
time they led the audience to laugh together and cry together.  They don't 
necessarily have to force out some jokes.  THE LAST DANCE has inspired me, 
I don't have to deliberately 'tickle people to make them laugh'.  The 
future comedy would also go this route."  In order to thank the audience, 
Michael would attend two audience appreciation shows.  He would invite 
alumni from his alma mater to support the show.  He joked that he would not 
be nervous in front of alumni, like when he participated in an university 
lecture a few days ago and met professors and vice-presidents.  They were 
all his students, but they looked older than him.  Referring to Tze Wah's 
suggestion that his appearance has not changed in thirty years and should 
be studied, Michael said, "As long as you tell more jokes and listen to 
more jokes, you will naturally get sick less and age a little slower.  So 
joy and happiness are the most important."
	Wai Sze Nga received praise for her acting skills from her on 
screen father Hui Koon Man.  She smiled sweetly and said with excitement, 
"One word of praise from Papa is better tens of thousands of words."  
Michael smiled and wondered why she said it was her last year to cut the 
cake with the last name Wai?  Wai Sze Nga laughed and said, "I'm getting 
married next year, I sent the invitation to you Papa, and you even agreed 
to come."  She also said that she has been too busy with work recently.     
She probably would not have time to celebrate with her parents on her 
birthday, which is really a fly in the ointment.  
	In addition, the Hong Kong Box Office Co. Ltd. yesterday announced 
that LAST's Saturday single day Hong Kong and Macao box office reached 
HK$ 9,179,401 (HK$ 8,613,824 in Hong Kong), setting a new Hong Kong Chinese 
language film single day box office record as it broke the COLD WAR 2 (HONG 
JIN 2) set single day box office record of HK$ 7,557,526in 2016.  
Reportedly THE LAST DANCE also performed well with its UK opening.  Its 
release in Malaysia also passed 3 million MYR and firmly sat atop the box 
office there.

* (2024/11/18) Singer Kayan Ng (Kayan9896) started out the actor Neo Yau Hawk Sau 
operated online video channel.  After breaking up with her ex-boyfriend 
Locker Lam Ka Hei, she fell in love the eldest son of "Ball Queen" Fanny 
Sieh (Sit Chi Lun), Justin Ma Kwai Fung.  This year, she celebrated 
Mother's Day with her future mother-in-law, ready to marry into a wealthy 
family and become a "multibillionaire's daughter-in-law".
	However, a few months ago Kayan allegedly accepted a job privately 
and held a solo concert at the rooftop swimming pool of a hotel owned by 
her boyfriend.  Her boss Yau Hawk Sau immediately posted a message to 
criticize someone for disregarding morality without naming any name.  
Afterwards, he, Locker and his friend Tyson Yoshi among others unfollowed 
Kayan's social media. Recently some online discovered that Kayan was 
suspected of officially leaving the channel.  They discovered that she has 
changed her contact information for accepting jobs.  Someone asked, "Was 
the biggest mistake making her famous?  It makes her think that she is 
really popular and give them the boot."  However, Kayan cannot be bothered 
with the gossip and is currently busy working on a Lunar New Year film.

* (2024/11/17) Hong Kong filmmakers Andy Lau Tak Wa, Sandra Ng Kwan Yu, Michelle 
Wai Sze Nga, Philip Ng Won Lung, Tai Bo, Kenny Bee (Chung Chun To), Kuku 
So Tsz Yan as well as directors Anselm Chan 
Mou Yin, Albert Leung Koon Hiu, Ho Miu Ki, Chow Yam Wing, Derek Kwok Chi 
Kin, Mandrew Kwan Man Hin and others attended the Golden Rooster Chinese 
Language Film Gala event the night before.  The 9 Hong Kong movies include 
THE LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK), LOVE LIES (NGOR TAM DIK NA CHEUNG LUEN OI), 
STUNTMN (MO TAI DOH), THE REMNANT (NGOK YUN DONG DOH), FOR ALICE (CUP OI 
LAI SZE), ONCE IN A BLUE MOON (MONG YUET), 24 FLAVORS (YI SUP SEI MEI), 
PEONY PAVILION (YAU YUEN GAING MUNG), and (GOR NIN) were also screened 
at the film festival.  THE LAST DANCE, LOVE LIES, STUNTMAN, and THE 
REMNANT were awarded the "Most Anticipated Chinese Language Films of the 
Year" (Hong Kong and Macau) honors.  Lau Tak Wah presented the awards.
	The Ng Kwan Yu and MC Cheung Tin Fu starred internet love scam 
movie LOVE LIES recently has been released in the mainland.  Ng Kwan Yu 
has visited Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan and other places to promote.  Two 
days ago Ng Kwan Yu appeared on the red carpet of this year's "Golden 
Rooster Chinese Film Festival" with director Ho Miu Ki and producer Chan 
Hing Kar the night before.  The movie even became a recommended film.  
	The three demonstrated the sea salt beer mixing trick to promote 
the movie's subject of romance scam, which was very thoughtful.  During 
the tour dinner, Kwan Yu and Lau Tak Wa were also invited to serve as 
promoters of Golden Rooster's Chinese-language films.  Kwan Yuu expressed 
her expectation that more Chinese-language films would succeed overseas in 
the future.
	Tickets for THE LAST DANCE were sold out as soon as they were 
available at the film festival.  Director Anselm Chan Mou Yin and actor 
Michelle Wai Sze Nga attended the post-screening event.  Wai Sze Nga said 
that the subject of the film was global.  "I am very confident that this 
subject is the common language of everyone, about family conflicts and the 
trauma caused by it.  Even if the movie travels around the world it would 
be able to resonate.  Because the subject of life and death is something 
that everyone has to experience, so I am very confident that everyone can 
receive the message the movie brings out!"
	Another current release in Hong Kong, STUNTMAN was represented by 
co-director Albert Leung Koon Hiu and actor Philip Ng Won Lung.  Ng Won 
Lung participated in the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival 
for the first time.  Being  able to bring a film about the bitter 
experience of a Hong Kong action actor to the mainland Film Festival, he 
expressed that he was looking forward to sharing this movie with the 
audience.  "There are very few movies that tell stories about martial arts 
stunt people, and I also started a martial arts stuntman.  I am very happy 
to share this story with mainland audiences and let them feel the pain 
and the price paid in this industry!"

* (2024/11/17) Selena Li Sze Wah, Adam Pak Tin Nam and director Bizhan Tong Buk 
Shan attended the preview screening of the movie TAPE (LOK YING DAI) 
yesterday.  In addition to being the actress, Lee Sze Wah also held two 
jobs of film producer and screenwriter.  She laughed and said that because 
the film budget was not large, she only received the actor's fee and 
treated the rest as experience earned.
	Lee Sze Wah revealed that the movie was adapted from the 2001 
American film, which tells the story of a group of high school classmates 
who reunited 15 years after graduation to force themselves to face the 
"bad things" they have done before.  She remembered that she had just 
undergone thyroid surgery when filming this movie.  She joked that she 
almost did not recognize herself on the big screen.  She said, "The movie 
is not a big production, but it also is quite a test for acting skills.  
It went to many film festivals before, and I am very happy to have won 
several awards."  Li Sze Wah also said that she did not feel any pressure 
on the movie box office, and she was even more happy to see that many of 
the priority screenings were full.  For her, she was as happy as winning 
the Mark Six Lottery.  When asked if her good sisters would come to 
support her, Li Sze Wah said, "It's a bit difficult to invite them all 
together. Ting Yan (Nancy Wu) is currently 'Lord Seven' and busy 
promoting, Hung Yi (Myolie Wu) is filming a drama in the mainland, Pal 
Soh (Paisley Hu Pui Wai) and Pal Gor (Sinn Lap Man) are in Paris.  I was 
very happy when they came to Shanghai to watch me perform in a play.  If I 
want them to come every time, I'm afraid I will fill up their schedule."  
Li Sze Wah said that her fiancé has thought about booking a theater to 
watch the movie, but she stopped him.  In the end, he bought 30 or 40 
theater tickets and invited relatives and friends to watch the show.

* (2024/11/17) The Lunar New Year has always been a territory to be fought over, 
but next year almost had no Hong Kong films to participate in the 
festival until Louis Koo Tin Lok started to attract the attention.  Other 
"comrades" were soon recruited, and Malaysian Lunar New Year films 
starring Hong Kong stars were added.  In the end, 7 films in total would 
be released for the New Year of the Snake.  On the surface Goo Jai looked 
to be fighting 1 vs. 6, but in fact his artists are performing in 5 of the 
movies.  As the "family" spread out to make a living, he was the big 
winner!  The Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) starred Lunar New Year film was in a 
hurry to make the release.  She has been working on it all night for 
several days.  She was filming at Causeway Bay the night before last.  
Fortunately she was still in good condition and did not lose her energy 
due to staying up all night!
	Ah Sa, Cheung Kai Chung and Kayan Ng started working on the movie 
MY BEST BET (CHEUNG DOH BIT YANG) last night.  Since the filming only 
started last month, producer Ng Kin Hung said earlier that he did not know 
whether it would be able to make the Chinese New Year release in time.  
However he would work towards this goal.  The crew has been working hard 
in recent months.  The night before last, Ah Sa, Cheung Kai Chung and Bowie 
Wu Fung were at Causeway Bay to film a scene where Ah Sa looked for 
Grandpa.  Would they have to work all night?  Ah Sa confessed that she had 
been working all night for several nights.  "we finish work at 9 o'clock 
this morning, and for a few days we have been shooting all night.  However 
for a film production that is unavoidable. (You still look so energetic!)

(OMG! AH MA YAU HEI), I WANT TO BE RICH (JO GOR YAU CHIN YUN), MONEY GAME$ 
(BOON GUNG BAK LEUNG) and HA HA HA HAPPY NEW YEAR!! (HA HA HA SUN NIN HEI 
HEI) that just started shooting a few days ago, there are a total of 7 
movies in the two places to be released during the Lunar New Year.  Koo 
Tin Lok seemed to be fighting "1 against 6"; but in reality other than 
MOM and MONEY, his actors have performed in the rest.  The "family" spread 
out to make a living, which is seriously savory!
Chen Jing and Zhang Jicong are popular
	Among them, Chan Jing and Cheung Kai Chung are the most 
"prolific" as they have parts in both Hong Kong and Malaysian New 
Year films.  Chan Jing just finished MA in Hong Kong and flew to Malaysia 
to start work on HA.  Producer and actor Philip Keung Ho Man also stated 
that starting the Lunar New Year film production only now was "in a hurry,

	With her impressive 32E "missiles", Lin Xiang has been popular on

size and also selling cuteness and sexiness.  However Lin Minchen has

* (2024/11/17) The movie THE LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK) has set a new box office 
record in Hong Kong.  As of the eighth day in release yesterday, its box 
office number has exceeded HK$ 45 million.  Its actors Michelle Wai Sze 
Nga, Tommy Chu Pak Hong, Rachel Leung Yung Ting and Director Anselm Chan 
Mou Yin went to Mong Kok to distribute ice cream and went to a theater to 
continue thanking the audience.  They attracted a large number of people 
to watch.
	Regarding the film's rising box office, the three actors happily 
said that they were also guessing the cumulative box office.  Whoever would 
be the furthest from the box office number would have to treat everyone to

* (2024/11/16) The Dayo Wong Tze Wah and Michael Hui Koon Man starred film THE 
LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK) as of yesterday exceeded the HK$ 35 million mark 
at the box office.  THE LAST DANCE has become a hot topic recently, and 
the advanced sales on the theater sites also have their shares of "Red 
Sea" full houses.  Director and screenwriter Anselm Chan Mou Yin thanked 
the audience for the past few days, and the audience asked about the 
missing scenes and characters.   He admitted that scenes and characters 
have been deleted, and he also hoped that an extended version would 
bring back the deleted scenes.  When audience appreciation events he also 
revealed the behind-the-scenes stories.  In the film, Miss Yen (Rosa 
Velasco (Wai Law Sa) who was reluctant to leave her son for burial had a 
real life prototype and was adapted from a real case.
	The Terence Lam Ka Him performed THE LAST DANCE theme song music

	Yesterday the film company released more THE LAST DANCE behind the 
scenes footage.  Wong Tze Wah personally applied makeup on the late Sister 
Lin (Kam Yin Ling).  For a realistic performance, he went over every step 
with a professional makeup artist before getting into position.  During 
the filming, he carefully completed the processes like disinfection, makeup 
application and hair combing.  Tze Wah studied a lot of etiquette 
information with the team, and was familiar with the process like putting 
on makeup, remains exhumation, arranging funerals, etc.  He joked that he 
could change careers, "I am very lucky to have participated in a film that 
is very realistic and requires a lot of research.  If I can't make any 
money one day, I think I will be better than the average person and apply 
for this position of etiquette master."  He and Paul Chun Pui filmed the 
"bone-collecting" scene in Wo Hop Shek.  The two professionally recreated 
the entire process, from exhuming the tomb to opening the pagoda,

	In the scene where Kam Yin Ling played a corpse, she had to lie

	The realism of the corpse handling in LAST was praised.  
Responsible for the special effects makeup of the corpse, Wilfred Wan 
shared the production process on social media, including Sister Lin's 
swollen feet, and the child actor Cayson Yeung Tsz Hong who played the 
corpse of Miss Yen's son had to add rotting flesh to his body.  Wilfred 
regarded the story between Rachel Leung Yung Ting and "Hei Man" in the film as a 
big challenge, because the director asked Tze Wah to interact with Hei Man 
when he applied her makeup.  He had to use 3D printing technology to 
create multiple mechanism designs on Hei Man's prosthetic head to achieve 
the effect.  The real life model of the "Hei Man"'s skin mold was Katrina 
Chan Pui Yan, and the finished product is lifelike.  Some online recognized 
Chan Pui Yan from her participation in ViuTV's "GOOD NIGHT SHOW - CM 
QUEEN"; and when she was a guest on "TALKER: WHAT LOVE YOU SAY", she

* (2024/11/16) Sammi Cheng Sau Man attended a brand opening event yesterday.  
Speaking about her recent support for her old friend Andy Lau Tak Wa when 
she went to see his movie CESIUM FALLOUT (FUN SING), Sammi stated that she 
must support Wa Jai after not seeing him for a long time.  When she saw Wa 
Jai, she was extremely happy.  "We have been friends for more than 20 
years.  As soon as we meet we get each other."  She also knew that Wa Jai 
was very busy with concerts and promoting movies non-stop.  Would she offer
herself to be a guest at Wa Jai's Hong Kong concerts?  Sammi said with a

selecting scripts?  Sammi joked, "There's no pressure, I won it already!  
It's like some people urging their children to get married; but once they 
get married, there's no pressure!  I wouldn't be more stringent with 
selecting scripts just to win the award.  In fact, scripts have always been 
thrown at me, but some weren't suitable; I also feel that the role is 
iffy.  I have to choose a good one and feel good about it.  Actually I 
don't have to worry about the script.  I can wait as I am in no rush.  I 
am so old already, I can work a little and rest a little; before work 
begins I can first enjoy the food, after eating I can work out again!"
	Sammi said that she has been resting for a while after finishing 
her concerts.  She will be busy next year, but she also wanted to spend 
time with her family.  "Mommy wasn't feeling well earlier and was about to 
go to the hospital.  One day she couldn't walk because she had a bacterial 
infection in her knee.  I think she is learning about another stage in her 
life.  When se cannot walk well she has to sit in a wheelchair.  The 
elderly has to accept body changes step by step.  Luckily mommy is very 
optimistic.  After sitting in a wheelchair she says it feels right, her 
mentality has been adjusted well.  The pressure on children isn't as 
great."  Now she and her family spent more time visiting Mommy, hoping that 
they can take her out to eat when her health improves.  Both Mommy and 
herself are constantly learning in life.

they will shine in Malaysia!  Apart from the Best Actress Anita Yuen Wing 
Yee starred MOM'S BIG NEWS (OMG! AH MA YAU HEI), the Philip Keung Ho Man 
produced and starred HA HA HA HAPPY NEW YEAR!! (HA HA HA SUN NIN HEI HEI) 
has also announced the start of filming.  In addition to inviting two 
beauties Jessica Hester Hsuan (Suen Huen) and DaDa Chan Jing, Sam Lee Chan

Shu Yan, Shin Cheung Yuk Hin and others attended the premiere of the movie 
BLOSSOMS SUNDER SOMEWHERE (GEI LIU YUT JING GOR CHUN TIN) last night.  
Playing a professor in the film, Pak Tin Nam develops an affair with Marf, 
who plays a female student who sells second-hand underwear.  They even 
have more intense intimate scenes!  When asked if there were any nude 
scenes, Marf joked, "Normally COLLAR shows even more!"  She emphasized, 
"The intimate scenes appear in the character's fantasy world.  So no 
nude scene, only conceptually daring ones.  (The movie) wants to express 
the current social phenomenon through the film concept.  It absolutely isn't 
pornography, otherwise it would have been rated category III."  Pak Tin Nam 
thought that during the production he was not in good enough shape.  Lately 
he has been working out and dieting like mad to prepare for the upcoming 
action film production.  Marf thought that Pak Tin Nam was very 
attractive, even Mommy praised him as handsome and came specifically to 
support the movie.
	Was it awkward to film an intimate scene?  Pak Tin Nam said it 
was in some capacity, "It isn't because I know she has a boyfriend, but I 
am too deeply in-character.  When I see the goddess appearing in front of 
me, my mouth is really shaking a little bit."  On the contrary, Marf did 
not feel embarrassed.  Before the shoot they have already agreed on where 
the physical contact would be, so she was not afraid or awkward at all.

* (2024/11/15) The Emperor Motion Picture THE LAST DANCE (POR. DEI YUK)'s subject
was Hong Kong's funeral industry.  Through the Taoist rituals of breaking 
through hell, it explored the connection between people and the issues of 
life and death.  There were many thought-provoking dialogues in the film 
that were worthy of everyone's reflection, one of which was "Life has 
a lot of hell to break through."  Wong Tze Wah believed that the hell in 
life was actually something you could not let go of.  If you could let go, 
life would actually be very easy to live; but "letting go" itself was a 
difficult thing to do, so people could only try their best to relieve 
themselves.
	Wong Tze Wah, Michelle Wai Sze Nga and Tommy Chu Pak Hong recently 
promoted the Emperor Motion Picture THE LAST DANCE.  Wong Tze Wah said 
that this film will make people feel relieved.  He also decided to have 
dinner with a person he vowed not to see again because of this film.  He 
laughed and said that the film was really sharp and also revealed that 
Michael Hu Koon Man also felt relieved, "One day he told me that he would 
want to see some people again, but I am not at liberty to say who.  I

* (2024/11/15) The Andy Lau Tak Wa starred movie CESIUM FALLOUT (FUN SING) 
successfully exceeded HK$ 23 million at the Hong Kong box office the day 
before yesterday.  The night before yesterday, Wa Jai fulfilled his 
promise and visited 3 theaters in a row during the typhoon for 5 audience 
appreciation shows.  Sammi Cheng Sau Man also made a surprise appearance 
at the audience appreciation show, paying her own way to support the show 
and making Wa Jai both surprised and nervous.
	In order to thank the audience for supporting CESIUM FALLOUT, Wa 
Jai, who has been busy with his concert tour earlier, returned to the team 
and appeared in the theaters together with director Anthony Pun Yiu Ming 
and a group of young actors such as Dee Ho Kai Wah, Locker Lam Ka Hei, 
Wesley Wong Ka Kit, and Natalie Hsu (Hui Yan Yi).  Although the Strong Wind 
Signal No. 3 was raised the day before yesterday, the team braved the wind

	When all the actors were interviewed later, they all expressed 
that they were lucky and happy that the box office exceeded 20 million and 
they were confident that the box office would continue to rise.  They also 
pointed out that the filming of this movie was not easy and the cost was 
high, so they hoped that everyone would watch it more times.  Wesley said 
that he has watched the film 5 times because the feeling has been 
different every time; many details were worth recalling.  Wa Jai also 
agreed that watching the film once was not enough.  Furthermore, theaters 
needed audiences.   So he called on everyone to go to the movies and 
support the new generation of actors.  Wa Jai expressed that he was very 
happy to finally see the group of young actors again.  He did not expect 
that Sammi would show up either.  He was grateful for her support.  "We 
all talked.  Sammi paid great attention to every scene and actor and 
savored the whole movie.  (Will you collaborate with Sammi again?)  I 
really want to, I hope that a new director can come up with some new 
collaborations for us."
	Wa Jai will perform his Hong Kong concert series next month.  He 
revealed that after finishing the Golden Rooster Film Festival activities, 
he would start his preparation retreat.  He would have to rely on the 
group of young actors to take the baton for audience appreciation shows, 
but he promised, "If the film would still be in release in January next 
year, I would return to thank the audience after my concerts are done."  
He also said that he wanted to invite the CESIUM FALLOUT team to watch the 
concert and everyone cheered.  Ah Dee asked when?  Wa Jai said, "Actually 
I have a few seats that I would treat the team to, but they aren't great."  
Dee said that he did not mind, as he would be happy with being able to go.  
Ah Dee even offered to be his dancer and guest singer.  Wa Jai immediately 
joked, "I saved a song for you!"  As for which song, Wa Jai joked, "Do I 
even have to say it?"  Would he be more careful during 
his performance in Hong Kong this time, as he had been in danger of 
accidents one after another during his previous tour in the Mainland?  Wa 
Jai said, "I definitely would.  Actually I am very cautious at every 
performance, just sometimes I get so wild and have too much fun that I let 
my guard down."  Although the Hong Kong stop would have 20 performances, 
tickets were still in short supply.  Wa Jai said frankly that he had no 
time for additional show, unless there was no break or adding an extra 
midday show.  However he was used to rarely add more shows after the 
agreed number.  Would he appeal to Hong Kong fans not to post the full 
version of the concert online like Taiwanese fans did?  Famous for caring 
for his fans, Wa Jai bluntly said that it was inevitable; since many 
people might not be able to attend, he would not mind too much.
	Would there be a chance that the original cast and crew will start 
filming the second season of CESIUM FALLOUT?  Wa Jai said that he could 
consider filming a comedy version.  Dee and Lam Ka Hei joked, "All of Hong 
Kong wouldn't be caught in radiation, only 'lucky gas'.  Catching it would 
only lead to the inability to stop laughing and stop eating."

  Gin receives a request from Tsukuyo, saying that the legendary courtesan
  of unrivaled beauty and proficiency in all the arts, Tsusen, has named
  Gin as the person she wishes to see. Filled with anticipation, he heads
  to Yoshiwara, but instead of the rumored beauty that can bring down a
  nation, the person who appears is an elderly woman whose days are

  "I will come to see you again when the moon is high." Gin and Tsukuyo
  learn from Hinowa that the old woman clings to a promise she made with

  festival, the bonds of friendship between the four girls begin to grow
  and strengthen. At Mika's suggestion, the girls also participate in a
  local volunteer program to introduce the local area to tourists from
  overseas, which attracts national media attention and propels the group
  to their first television appearance and debut as the idol unit
  "Compass Rose". "I chose these members myself--there's no way we could
  fail," Yu muses to herself with satisfaction.

  Compass Rose's popularity slowly but surely increases, and Yu's

  Although the Chinese government promised that Hong Kong would
  retain separate status until 2047, in recent years the Chinese state
  has consolidated its power over the metropolis. Large-scale protests
  by the populace have been brutally suppressed. This mix of
  documentary, fiction, and visions of the future reveals the current
  state of desolate depression among the people of Hong Kong. "A
  desperate attempt to capture the final moments of a sinking island",
  as maker Chan Tze-woon himself puts it.

  In four chapters, Chan looks back at previous moments of resistance
  and revolution on the island: in 1967, 1973, and 1989. He shows how
  the activists of then are faring now. Some still burn with
  righteous fire, while others are disillusioned or have been bought
  off by the system. The past is presented in fictional scenes, with
  today's activists playing those of yesteryear. As one of the young
  demonstrators observes of her predecessor: "All the hardships he

  Choi San-keung, a taxi driver who perpetually lacks sleep, thus

  psychiatrist Dr Man, who survives the taxi ride and offers to help
  Choi. The offer is refused, but Choi later becomes Dr Man's
  involuntary patient after a particularly egregious night of driving.
  Dr Man has his own personal issues: his motto is "I think a doctor
  should do more than prescribe meds," which means a doctor should
  also investigate his patients secretly in defiance of common sense
  and hospital protocol. In a parallel to Choi, Dr Man also has
  sleeping issues. He suffers from disturbing dreams of his deceased
  mother, which hints at a secret involving his father, and perhaps
  some repressed memories.

  daughter Qing is difficult and cries constantly and Jing frequently
  clashes with her live-in in-laws over childcare and housework, while her
  husband, who works as a delivery driver, views parenting as something he
  occasionally helps with. All she did was have a child, yet Jing's life
  is turned upside down, leaving her in a situation where all her efforts
  to build her career have been negated. Director Oliver Siu Kuen Chan
  meticulously dissects Jing's struggles, revealing the emotional
  turbulence she endures. The film’s realistic and precise narrative
  depicts the suffocating oppression women suffer within both family and
  society, the pressures of 'being a mother' and 'motherhood,' and
  resolutely move forward, forcing Jing to make a final decision.
