As of yesterday afternoon its cumulative box office exceeded HK$ 5 million. The film's official social media site announced the good news. Edan reposted the post, wrote "Thank You" and 3 crying emoji. In addition, the 19th Hong Kong Asian Film Festival yesterday announced that HONG KONG FAMILY (GOR SI GOR JIK) received the audience's choice best film. Its box office has already exceeded HK$ 25 million. Recently some online even called it a "Can't Miss Hong Kong Film". Playing Tse Hin Chung (Yeung Wai Lun)'s friend Tong Man Kei, Mak Pui Tung's line from the film "Frame me! Frame me! Mak Pui Tung said that in real life when people saw him they would say the line, but more than one scene was memorable.
