MISCELLANEOUS * (2019/04/10) Irene Wan Bik Ha, Kenny Kwan Chi Bun, Hanna Chan, Alice Chan Wai, Ashina Kwok Yik Sum, Jess Sum Cheuk Ying yesterday attended the film THE FALLEN (DOR LOK FA) production start ceremony. Going undercover in the film Wan Bik Ha and Kenny would develop an older woman younger man romance. They would also have daring love scenes. Wan Bik Ha said that she would not need to "prepare" her husband, as an actor as long as she ran into a good script she would have to release herself; Kenny was also able to make the sacrifice for art and would not mind following Tony Leung Chiu Wai's suit. In case he would not be able to accept it it could be cut out. Wan Bik Ha would go undercover in the film and even became addicted to drugs later. She was very happy to receive a role with such good potential. Earlier she even lost 4 pounds to play the drug addict. Speaking of her love scenes with Kenny, she revealed, "After taking drugs hallucination would take place, so you might not know that you have done a lot of silly things. Some of which would be daring scenes, some would take place after taking drugs and some would happen normally. For now I don't know how far they would go. The most important is the story requires it, an actor must let herself go." Would she need to prepare her husband for any love scene? She said, "We are adults, so we don't need to. A rare opportunity would need to be properly grasped, first I have to put myself first. (Are you pleased with young fresh meat Kenny?) He and I would have a older woman young man romance, I adopted him so he would have feelings for me since he was very little. I also had a wonderful feeling for him. We both would have feelings." Irene felt that the character was very challenging for her. Because she had a classmate who died from drugs, she knew about the harm of using drugs. She felt that this subject was great and had a lot of room to perform with. Kenny played a drug lord's successor. He appeared to be a mild mannered gentleman but actually was deranged and more promiscuous. He would have many scenes with Irene and Kwok Yik Sum. He said, "I would have a lot of love scenes, with more than one co-star. Of course I would have to take off my clothes, for now I don't know how far I would have to go." Would he be able to accept going as far as Tony Leung Chiu Wai in LUST CAUTION? He said, "Without getting to this situation I really don't know, but I feel I can shoot it first and I am displeased it can be cut. In addition with camera displacement I feel I can. In addition during the shoot I shouldn't have too many taboos, I should be able to perform freely. Otherwise it will be even harder to shoot, if I can't accept it after making it it can be cut. (What if it won't be your call?) With Mani and the producer there I can relax." Hanna Chan would play an unusual girl Suet and would have skin contact with Irene, but it absolutely would not be a lesbian love story. She and Kenny also would not have any love scene, but she would have a back baring scene. How did she feel about her figure? She joked, "Not OK, but as an actor even with not OK I have to be OK." * (2019/04/10) The Raymond Wong Pak Ming produced, David Lam Tak Luk directed, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Kevin Cheng Ka Wing, Raymond Lam Fung, Gordon Lam Ka Tung and Chrissie Chau Sau Na starred P STORM (P FUNG BO) has become a hit since its April 4th Hong Kong and Mainland same day release. As of two days ago after five days in release its Mainland box office was 390 million yuan RMB, not only defeating the superhero film SHAZAM! but also became the single day box office champion for 4 days in a row as it poised to overtake its predecessor's 442 million yuan RMB record; as for Hong Kong it also became this week's Chinese film champion, as of two days ago it already made over HK$ 7.12 million! As for the fourth installment of the anti corruption storm series, this film's stunts were stronger than previous ones. Aside from the helicopter catch, the safe house gun fight at the end between Goo Jai, Lam Fung and Sister Na made the audience's hearts pound. Lam Fung brought heavy machine guns to the safe house to kill Sister Na, luckily Goo Jai arrived in time to protect her. The team built a safe house set for this scene, prepared several hundred bullets and shot for three full days to create the raining bullet effect! Lam Fung said that this time was the first time he used a light machine gun. "Actually it was very heavy, after using it I understand why so many special duty teams need gloves for shooting. They are not for looking cool, the shooting really would scratch your hands!" He said that he only had the chance to use different types of guns when he made movies, because even shooting ranges would very rarely had light machine guns. This time he had his fill of shooting! Sister Na worked with Lam Fung again after many years. "Lam Fung in the movie really hates me, he even strangles me to try to kill me. In the film he is really scary, but after yelling cut, he would ask if I was fine as he was afraid of hurting me." Speaking of the safe house environment almost being completed closed off, each shot made the ears ring. "At first the team asked me if I needed ear plugs. I thought that might be exaggerated and turned them down. Yet each shot was really very loud, and the shots went nonstop. Even I was scared. When they fired I would jump, the reaction was very easy to perform." * (2019/04/09) Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin lately has been busy with her Emperor Motion Picture THE LADY IMPROPER (FEI FUN SHOOK NUI) audience appreciation events with the director, Ashina Kwok Yik Sum and other actors. All the shows were almost sold out. Some viewers passionately screamed in anticipation of Ah Sa's Hong Kong Film Award Best Actress victory. Ah Sa admitted that she really enjoyed making a movie in Hong Kong. "Ultimately I grew up here, whether the cafe or the streets big or small, the workers or the neighbors I ran into, they all filled me with a sense of familiarity!" Her friends also gave her positive reviews. Ah Sa said, "Joey, Ah Gil of course would praise it, but this time the feeling is a little different. I just talked with Joey over the phone. Actually she was nearby, she even asked if she needed to come over and do the audience appreciation with me!" She already turned down her good will. "She is so thoughtful, but Joey really like this movie!" * (2019/04/09) The 38th Hong Kong Film Awards will take place soon. The event released a series of promotional videos, with Andy Lau Tak Wa appearing in a flash in the final chapter. The event invited people to share their Hong Kong film memories on camera. Lau Tak Wa appeared as the "prize presenter" and presented them with the Hong Kong Film Award so they could feel how heavy it was. They screamed at Wa Jai's surprise appearance and even received hugs of love. The funniest was when a young person said that he liked Wong Jing's PROJECT GUTENBERG (MO SEUNG) (actually it was Felix Chong Man Keung's). Wa Jai cracked up behind the camera. The young person finally politely thanked Wa Jai, "Thank you Uncle Lau!" Wa Jai gave a helpless look as a response. Wa Jai said that he has not interacted with the audience up close in a very long time. He said, "I was very touched, I hope Hong Kong film will continue to march on." * (2019/04/08) Ti Lung yesterday with his wife Tao Man Ming attended his film THE KID FROM THE BIG APPLE 2: BEFORE WE FORGET's charity screening. Co-star Shaun Tam Chun Yin was in Vietnam and unable to attend. The film wrapped up production two years ago. As for not being able to be released in Hong Kong, did he feel any regret? Ti Lung said, "This industry has highs and lows. The movie was made in Malaysia, it was quite a hit there. Other stuff like Hong Kong distribution is not something that actors can control. I hope those interested would support the film, since fewer people would invest in family films. For example THE WANDERING EARTH was very popular in the Mainland, but in Hong Kong it didn't get much publicity." He also said that he would like to watch a movie with his grandchildren when he would have the time so they would understand the job. * (2019/04/07) Louis Cheung Kai Chung, Justin Cheung Kin Sing and Kumer So San Yu yesterday attended a P STORM (P FUNG BO) audience appreciation event. The film made over HK$ 4 million over 3 days in Hong Kong and almost 300 million RMB in the Mainland. Cheung Kai Chung was rather happy to see the good performance. Aside from the premiere, two nights ago he went to see the movie with his wife and son. His son was so tense that he almost cried. Because in the film he was tortured and beaten up, his son asked if he was fine. Ah Chung said, "I told him I wasn't, you better hurry up and take a little better care of me!" Ah Chung also said that in the past he rarely let his son watch his films, but now he would take him to see more Hong Kong films in hopes of cultivating his interest in music and art. He also wanted him to become interested in film. Would he permit his son to enter the business? Ah Chung said, "I would wait until he is grown to worry about that, now I just hope that he would know how hard the film production process is. I wanted to bring him to the set to be my assistant, at most I would give him the market minimum wage and see if he can take it with me. Actually I want him to understand how a film operated the most, give him an idea of what kind of job acting is. He absolutely shouldn't think about becoming a star, because acting is a job!" As for the film's good box office and word of mouth, Ah Chung felt that they were returns that all of the actors deserved. Raymond Lam Fung in particular gave a very serious performance and had a huge breakthrough in his character design. He rarely participated in a men's movie, not to mention it was his first collaboration with Louis Koo Tin Lok so he was a little panicky. At first when he saw Koo Tin Lok he would call him "Mr. Koo" left and right, but because in the film they were good friends one day Koo Tin Lok pat him on the shoulder and said, "Don't call me Mr. Koo or Boss Koo anymore, be a little friendlier. If you don't call me Goo Jai I would hit you. After finishing the film we all became good friends!" Would he have a chance to work together again in the next film G STORM? Ah Chung said that the film company asked him to make room in his schedule. * (2019/04/06) Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin, Ashina Kwok Yik Sum, Hedwig Tam Sin Yin and director Tsang Tsui Shan two nights ago attended THE LADY IMPROPER (FEI FUN SHOOK NUI) audience appreciation event. Ah Sa said that she has not disguised herself to watch the audience reaction but she has read online reviews and comments. She said, "Most were OK, actually they had very different comments. Ultimately each movie has people who like it and dislike it." Ah Sa said that earlier at the premiere, she and lead actor Wu Kang-Jen sat together. When they got to their intimate scene they covered their eyes. She said, "No eyes see, it was very awkward. (How did your friends feel about the film?) They definitely support it, they even said that they kept from blinking to watch it." Ah Sa said that Kwok Yik Sum also had intimate scenes. Kwok Yik Sum said that luckily she had a wrap to cover yourself. "Because I was alone, hearing myself was very awkward. (What did you hear?) The 'breathing' sounds from acting." In the film Ah Sa performed a pole dance. She pointed out that Tam Sin Yin's pole dance was even sexier than hers. Tam Sin Yin said, "Two different kind of sexy, they are sexually daring, I am choreographically daring." Ah Sa said that after finishing this film she would rather be sexy than working on another intimate scene. "Because some moves are scientific, basically they can't be done in real life. (Would you try it with your boyfriend?) I just said they weren't scientific, the moves would be doing something that others would not be capable of. You had to contort your body while facing the camera. It's impossible, in real life you might sprain your hip and neck. During the shoot I really almost twisted all my limbs. Wu Kang-Jen had it bad too, his knees were all bruised." Was the pole dancing more damaging? Ah Sa said, "The bruises from pole dancing were in different areas, inner thigh. Those less than scientific moves were more on the other thigh. I was injured inside and out, the shoot was very tough." * (2019/04/06) Director Andrew Lau Wai Keung two days ago just celebrated his 59th birthday and had a birthday party at his Sai Kung home. Guests included Anthony Wong Chau Sun, Chrissie Chau Sau Na, Fiona Sit Hoi Kei, Zhang Hanyu, Cecilia Yip Tung and her husband, Cheung Tat Ming, Samantha Ko Hoi Ning, Nina Paw Hee Ching and Amanda Lee Wai Man. Lau Wai Keung's birthday wish was good health for everyone around him. He admitted that he would have pain in his shoulder and hip. He also said that many colleagues in stunts, lighting and cinematography would have problems. Thus he got a new ideas lately to create a healthcare center. Earlier he spoke with Chin Ka Lok and said that as he got older, his body was not want it used to be. His shoulder and hip would have pain, as he often had to see Chinese bonesetters and have physical therapy. "Colleagues in stunt, lighting and cinematography would have problems. So I thought of opening a healthcare center. I will volunteer there then ask physical therapists to teach everyone basic ways to help others or use equipment to reduce pain. I hope this project will come to fruition soon!" Lau Wai Keung also revealed that he just finished the film CHINESE PILOT. Earlier the film shot on location in Lhasa, Tibet. Half of the crew had high altitude illness during the shoot. Luckily it did not happen to him and he was able to finish the shoot. Currently he was focused on the post production work so the film would be able to be released as soon as possible. Speaking of the English version of YOUNG AND DANGEROUS, Lau Wai Keung said, "Whatever, BS wouldn't happen in this world. We will negotiate again, but I won't make it. My strength in 30 something isn't like it is today. I am afraid that I won't be able to make back the feeling of then. You would want to find a young, strong and fiery director to make it!" Ko Hoi Ning revealed that two days ago she just returned to TVB to discuss a new series and ran into Elaine Lok Yi Ling. She asked her to go to Lau Wai Keung's birthday party together, so she brought red wine as a gift. Ko Ling said that she was not much of a drinker, just a little would make her face turn red. Would she ask her boyfriend to pick her up if she got drunk? She said no because he was busy with work too. Ko Ling once starred in Lau Wai Keung's FROM VEGAS TO MACAU 2 (DOH SING FUNG WON 2). She hoped to be able to work with him again but she would not mention it deliberately to him. Two nights ago she would not talk about work at all so she would happily celebrate his birthday. * (2019/04/04) The film P STORM (P FUNG BO) opened today in the Mainland. Two days ago director David Lam Tak Luk and stars Kevin Cheng Ka Wing, Raymond Lam Fung, Gordon Lam Ka Tung, Chrissie Chau Sau Na, Louis Cheung Kai Chung, Patrick Tam Yiu Man, Adam Pak Tin Nam, Janelle Sing (Anika Xia Yan), Monna Liu Mengna appeared at the Guangzhou premiere. The event prepared tags and key terms for the team to interact with the audience with. Cheung Kai Chung got the "funny spot" tag. In the film he expressed the pressure of housing for Hong Kong young people with "Hong Kong youth sees prison as their goal in life." Many who have seen the film were pleasantly surprised and said that Cheung Kai Chung stole the funny spot in the four anti corruption film. In addition, as the new addition Lam Fung worked with Goo Jai again after 18 years and got the "betrayal" tag. He said that in the film he played a rich kid Cho Yuen Yuen. The name might sound a little cute but his personality was extreme and odd, almost to the point of being deranged. Many viewers were veteran TVB series fans and were more than curious about Lam Fung's villain debut. They were surprised. Speaking of how to grasp the "deranged" character's state of mind, Lam Fung said that before the performance he was a little worried. However with Goo Jai's help many scenes were performed very successfully. He joked, "I finally got my wish of playing a deranged character this time, actually it can be considered a 'natural performance'." Lam Fung also revealed that he hoped through his first villain role for everyone to be able to hate him. Many asked about his upcoming film projects. Lam Fung said that no matter what types of film they would be, the productions have been a "double harvest" of pain and joy. Lam Fung continued that for several seconds that appeared in the story the team would need to spend most of the day to make. "After so many years, many films that the Hong Kong film industry have made collected a lot of blood, sweat and tears." Lam Fung urged viewers to support Hong Kong filmmakers' "craftsman" spirit and watch more Hong Kong films. Viewers who saw the premiere said that the prison scene was the surprise of the film and even praised the realism of the prison scene and the helicopter crash. Lam Fung and Tam Yiu Man who both had many prison scenes said, "The prison set was very realistic, as soon as we entered it we would feel the tension." In the film Lam Fung and Lam Ka Tung were two major forces in prison and often fought. Lam Fung said that when he took the role, the director clearly told him that he would be the prison boss with a big group of fighters. He thought that someone would perform the fight scenes for him, but he did not expect that in every fight he would be leading the charge. "Everyday I had a fight scene, basically I had one with every actor." Among all the action, the cafeteria and the kitchen fights were the more ferocious. Lam Fung unfortunately took a hit to the nose. He said, "At the time the scene was very chaotic, a dozen or so people were fighting together. Fists were flying back and forth, losing slippers and breaking spoons. Sometimes I wouldn't be able to duck in time and unluckily I took a punch!" In addition Lam Ka Tung needed to get back at Lam Fung and threw an orange at him during lunch, yet he had one bad take after another. Lam Ka Tung said, "At first I thought it wouldn't be hard at all, I didn't know that every orange was different. Every throw was different. The action scene didn't stump me but the oranges did!" * (2019/04/04) Clifton Ko Chi Sum earlier with the film DEAREST ANITA won the Chinese American Film Festival Best Director Award, his first joy; he also as the producer received the Asia Pacific Brand Foundation "Brand Laureate international individual brand award 2019", his second; he was invited to return to Zhongshan, where his family originated from, with six of his films for a film exhibition last month at the Zhongshan City Cultural and Art Center, his third. Ko Chi Sum was very excited when discussing the "triple happiness". As his film and stage work became more and more popular, Ko Chi Sum admitted that he began to have an internal conflict. "Do I have to choose between film and the stage, or continue to do double duty? I need to make a choice in terms of production direction." [ BLAH OF THE WEEK ] Columns, Reviews, Interviews 1. TA KUNG PAO, APRIL 4 2019, THE WEEK IN FILM EXTREME JOB MAKES THE BIG CATCH WITH LAUGHS Once upon a time, Hong Kong film was strong cultural product in East Asia. In Japan and Korea it had many fans. Yet speaking of direct Hong Kong film influence on creativity, Japan and Korea's film industries had decades of exchanges with Hong Kong. In comparison Korean films have borrowed even more of Hong Kong film elements. This might be because Japan's film tradition was stronger, or perhaps Korea's popular culture presence weas close to Hong Kong film's all out without regard for details. The Korean comedy EXTREME JOB clearly displays this type of common aura. - HUNG KWONG EXTREME JOB first is a comedy about undercover cops. Five bumbling cops form a drug investigation team that is already facing disbandment. In order to apprehend a mob mastermind fugitive, they set up surveillance in the fried chicken shop across the street. However the fried chicken shop is not doing well and has to close immediately. For the investigation, the five buys the shop and sells fried chicken as their cover. The problem is one of them is secretly a master chef, the fried chicken becomes a overnight sensation and fills the store. Even when they hike their prices outrageously the clients still refuse to go. The five are so tired from the business that they have no way to investigate. They even think about switching jobs to make fried chicken...... Unintentional Makes It Funnier If such a story reminds anyone of any classic Hong Kong films, they naturally would be Stephen Chow Sing Chi's FIGHT BACK TO SCHOOL (TOH HOK WAI LUNG) film series and GOD OF COOKERY (SIK SUN). When the film starts, it spends a lot of time on showing how the leads mess up to set the main story of them using a fried chicken shop as cover. Then the real comedy floods in. The five originally do not want to operate the business for real and only want to use the store front to observe the suspect. Yet because of too many customers and they want to find a chance to enter the suspect's nest, they really start to sell fried chicken. Because of their "secret formula" fried chicken their business thrives, they realize that a restaurant is more than just cooking but also a bunch of other chores. They slowly adjust to their roles, from at first refusing to work and wanting to pass other people's take out as their own, to later forgetting about their case because they are too busy with customers and even enthusiastically teaches franchise branches..... everything is comedy material. Although the idea seems like FIGHT BACK TO SCHOOL's Chow Sing Chi slowly entering his student role, the drug investigation team's members are serious about their roles. They do not deliberately generate any comedy. Such a handling actually tests the actors' grasp of rhythm even more. This film also has another source from Chow Sing Chi's comedy but with variations. When FIGHT BACK TO SCHOOL starts, we know that the lead is an extraordinary Special Duties Unit member. Thus most of the film is about how he hides his identity and skills, which is where the comedy comes from. EXTREME JOB hides the "skills" and "identities" of the five for 90% of the time and surprises the audience in the end. Without spoiling anything, the question that has to be asked if although such a handling gives the audience an explosive release in the end, would the results be even better for comedy if the audience knows about the background early on and build the anticipation. The answer may be different with each person, but with such a twist now the audience can probably accept it. At lease watching the five selling fried chicken is already funny enough in itself. Salute To A BETTER TOMORROW Worthy of a mention, in the film they "sell fried chicken" but do not "fry chicken". This film in the end is not a movie about food. The film repeatedly reminds the audience that the five are sick and tired of eating fried chicken, which is delicate different from GOD OF COOKERY or other movies about food that stresses how delicious food is. For the Hong Kong audience or Hong Kong film critics, any talk aout EXTREME JOB must mention its "salute" to A BETTER TOMORROW. Not only does it have Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing's theme song but also the film's classic scenes. Yet I suspect that such "salute" resembles Wong Jing's borrowing of popular film ideas, to most viewers they are not too meaningful. Even in Hong Kong not everyone in the new generation of viewers have seen or known about A BETTER TOMORROW. EXTREME JOB can with the budget that is lower than a blockbuster, without computer generated effects, visual effects, reach an almost record breaking box office in Korea. It relies on its accurate grasp in its use of Hong Kong film hit elements and comedy pace. 2. TA KUNG PAO, APRIL 4 2019, THE WEEK IN FILM DUMBO LANDS ON TOP IN HONG KONG AND THE U.S. Every year's March and April are Hong Kong film month, as the Hong Kong International Film Festival, the Hong Kong International Film and Television Market and the Hong Kong Film Award follows one after another. Yet the film box office belongs to a light season. Last week's box office was similar to the week before with HK$ 24.82 million, HK$ 1.14 million more than the prior week. At the box office, the new family film release DUMBO came in first as CAPTAIN MARVEL finally was toppled to second place; in third place was the Korean hit EXTREME JOB; MASQUERADE HOTEL fell two places to fourth; the horror film US came in fifth. As for other new releases, the Fruit Chan Gor directed THREE HUSANDS (SAM FU) with its four Hong Kong Film Award nominations came in eighth. With advanced screenings it made HK$ 680,000; THE AFTERMATH made HK$ 230,000 in tenth place; the Japanese film EATING WOMEN made HK$ 140,000 in fifteenth place; the Japanese animated film LOVE LIVE! SUNSHINE!! As Easter approaches, the comic book based hero blockbuster SHAZAM! will open this week simultaneously with the U.S. and the Mainland. Seemingly this week's box office should grow a little more; Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin again receives a Hong Kong Film Award Best Actress nomination with THE LADY IMPROPER (FEI FUN SHOOK NUI), in this film she has a breakthrough performance; the David Lam Tak Luk's "anti corruption" series' fourth installment P STORM (P FUNG BO) stars the previous film's Louis Koo Tin Lok, Kevin Cheng Ka Wing and Julian Cheung Chi Lam with the addition of Raymond Lam Fung. The PRISON ON FIRE (GAM YUK FUNG WON) styled anti corruption story will be rather attractive; the horror film PET SEMATARY, THE SALESMAN director Asghar Farhadi's new film EVERYBODY KNOWS and the Oscar Best Documentary FREE SOLO will also open. At the Mainland box office, the Yu Qian starred SONG OF YOUTH rose two places to first; MORE THAN BLUE came in second; three new releases came in third to fifth, they were DUMBO, the Spanish film DURANTE LA TORMENTA and the Sun Zhou directed comedy THE HUMAN COMEDY. TA KUNG PAO, APRIL 4 2019, LIGHT SHADOW PATH THE SECRET OF CHINESE FILM AND TELEVISION'S APPROACH TO THE WORLD Famous television series TIN MAN's writer and producer Steven Long Mitchell held a forum last month to discuss the road for China's film and television entertainment heading to the world and very directly stated its "secrets". The first question was with the popularity of big data now, should big data drive creativity or it rely on personal determination like James Cameron? Mitchell pointed out that they were not mutually exclusive. Everyone could use big data but could not rely on it so much that they become enslaved to it. Mitchell knows that Chinese film and television creators hope to invade Hollywood and make the Chinese film and television industry international. Yet because of various difficulties they become baffled. China has 5,000 years of history with a lot of literature, philosophy and various cultural background. If it goes international it has to learn from Hollywood on how to tell a story, why? Mitchell admits that because Hollywood has already been through five generations of people, it has paved a road for film and television. Americans set the standards in this area. In other words they not only defined what is film and television entertainment but also through long term experience and improvement most of the audience around the world accept their format (this can lead to why the U.S. is afraid of China setting 5G standards). Mitchell has noticed the success of THE WANDERING EARTH. He felt that this film was more entertaining than many U.S. science fiction films, but was still a little off from going international. This point is the most important. Because Hollywood has set film and television entertainment standard, the most negative to Asian film and television industry is language and race. Objectively speaking, European and American film and television are mainly in English with White people. Experienced Asian viewers know that decades ago English language film and television ruled the world. Thus, anyone who wants to invade Europe and America must make movies in English. For example the earlier CRAZY RICH ASIANS were all Asian but they all spoke English. Whether its success will continue no one knows. Hong Kong also has research companies that suggest for Hong Kong films to make a killing it must make English films, which obviously neglects the race element. Mitchell also cites CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON and HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS as examples, fresh content can also attractive the European and American audience. Unfortunately they were isolated cases. He also mentioned the force in STAR WARS is very similar to "Chi" in China, proving Chinese culture has a world market. This point makes sense but for now we still has not been able to make a movie like KUNG FU PANDA, as culture and story merger indeed is not easy. The Chinese film market has been opened for over a decade, and cannot compare to five generations of Hollywood. Its story telling method naturally has a lot of room for improvement, even without language and race considerations it still needs to work on competing with the U.S film and television industry. - TIN LIK [ In Production Now/Soon ] ELISA'S DAY Can : Wai Oi Lit : Leftover Love AKA : Chong Hoi Wai Oi AKA : Love Left At Sea d. Soon, he falls out with Fong, his coach, for neglecting his training, and he begins to fight back against his mother’s control. At the 2008 Paralympic Games, Wai finds himself under unprecedented pressure from the match and his fallout with his mother.
