* (2013/03/20) Action actor Gordon Liu (Lau Ka Fai) has been recovering 
from his stroke two years ago.  Yesterday suddenly his condition was 
rumored to have changed.  His second wife in Thailand said that she too 
heard the news.  "I heard someone said that, but I don't know what 
happened.  I hope Ka Fai's current guardian will be able to give an 
update or a recent photo to us, so those who care about Ka Fai can 
relax."
	Ka Fai's guardian revealed that Ka Fai was fine, only that on 
January 7 he fell due to cramping and needed surgery.  He is fine now and 
is recovering at a nursing center.

* (2013/03/20) The Patrick Kong (Yip Lim Sum) directed DAI YUT CHI BUT 
SI NEI (FIRST TIME WAS NOT YOU) yesterday held a press conference.  Leads 
Angel Chiang Ka Man, Edward Ma Chi Wai, actors Jacqueline Chong Si Man, 
Sheung Tin Ngor, Bob and others attended.  The actors also celebrated 
Yip Lim Sum's belated birthday.
	Speaking of a pseudo model's claim that she was raped and thus 
committed suicide earlier, Chong Si Man said the story had too many 
different versions so she had no comment.  She only wished the victim 
would rest in peace.  This case again reminded women, no matter their 
professions, to be extra careful when they met a strange man alone.  Did 
someone get touchy feely when she started in the business?  She said, "I 
did, he said that he was gay.  I said even so it's still not that great."
	In addition, TVB starlet Angel Chiang Ka Man made her big screen 
debut with new comer Edward Ma Chi Wai who looked like Ko Chen-Tung.  Ka 
Man admitted that she was very nervous.  Because her character was a 
"high quality call girl" she had many bed and kiss scenes.  "The film was 
a little extreme.  It had bed scenes but the story required it!"  Who was 
the best kisser?  Ma Chi Wai interrupted, "Of course me!"  Ka Man hoped 
to work in both film and television.

* (2013/03/20) The 7th Asian Film Award took place two nights ago.  Jury 
chair Andy Lau Tak Wa, Excellence in Asian Cinema award winner Michelle 
Yeoh (Yeung Chi King), Filipino Best Actor Eddie Garcia and others 
attended the celebration.  Wa Jai after the Golden Horse Award was again 
invited to be on the jury.  He joked that last year his film production 
rate was reduced so the jury job will stop.  This year he will have many 
film releases and he hoped to have a chance to compete with his new 
films.  Wa Jai said that he was very satisfied with the result and 
revealed that the Best Actor and the Best Actress votes were unanimous.  
Although earlier he participated in COLD WAR (HONG JIN) and did not 
participate in the Best Actor voting, personally he hoped that Eddie 
Garcia would win because his film BWAKAW was a happy movie.
	As for the Filipino Best Actress, he felt that because both 
Filipino films were more stable, different from other heavy flavored  
films and perhaps thus caught the jury's eyes.  This year Chinese films 
obviously lost some luster, was he disappointed?  Wa Jai pointed out that 
last year Chinese films were more action and comedy, which put them at 
a disadvantage.  When he looked at the nominations he already knew.
	Kwai Lun-Mei although was no match for Nora Aunor for Best 
Actress, she still attended the celebration.  She did not feel 
disappointed at all and did not need boyfriend Leon Dai to comfort her.  
On the other hand seeing so many elders made her very emotional.  She 
said, "Elders are role models to properly learn from, I too hope that 
one day after such a long time I would become a very enthusiastic actor 
like the elders.  For example the Best Actor in his 80s was still able to 
be so persistent with his performance.  I was very touched."
	The 83 year old Filipino actor Eddie Garcia with BWAKAW won Best 
Actor and the online My Favorite Actor awards.  Yesterday Eddie Garcia 
said that he was very happy to receive two awards and looked forward to 
winning again next year.  In his 64 year long career he has made over 
500 films, directed 30 films and won countless awards.  After years in 
film he has never thought about stopping.  He pointed out that the 
Filipino film industry was in a depression.  His award winning film was 
also an independent film that only took 10 days to make.
	Japanese actress Makiko Watanabe won Best Supporting Actress.  
She said that she was very honored to win with CAPTURING DAD and joked 
that she was overjoyed.  She also pointed out that she grew up on Hong 
Kong films, so she was very happy to meet so many elders at the award 
show.  When asked which Hong Kong artist she would like to work with, 
she said, "They are all outstanding, I want to work with all of them so 
it's very hard to choose."  Will her salary rocket after the award?  
Makiko Watanabe who has always made independent films said, "I don't 
know, if so I would be very happy.  However with independent film I can't 
expect very high salary.  If the script is good salary isn't a problem.  
Of course a raise would be the best."  She said that when she started 
her career was not too smooth, luckily she had her family and friends' 
support.  When she modeled she made a lot of money.  Makiko Watanabe also 
complained that she did not have time to visit and said that she liked 
Chinese food.  She hoped to have time to walk around.

* (2013/03/20) Louis Koo Tin Lok, Angelica Lee Sinjie, and 
directors Oxide Pang Shun and Danny Pang Fat yesterday attended the film 
INFERNO 3D (TOH CHOOK SUN TIN 3D) press conference and discussed the pain 
of the fire scenes.  Goo Jai promoted two films in one day, everyone said 
that the heat of the fire was the hardest to take.  Lee Sinjie said that 
her husband Pang Shun did not spare her because he was her husband.  She 
had a 3 story fire scene.  The director watched the fire from a tent 
outside and even thought that the fire was not big enough.  Lee Sinjie 
said, "The directors are great, they tell me if I can't take it I should 
run out before they yell cut."  After escaping from the fire my clothes 
and necklace were scorching; in the fire she was not injured.  Instead 
she fell in a simple running in high heels scene, when her leg hit a 
board she was in so much pain that she wanted to cry.  Later she even had 
an underwater scene.  Luckily everyday she had someone to clean her 
wounds so she was able to complete the film successfully.

* (2013/03/20) Director Johnnie To Kei Fung, Louis Koo Tin Lok, Michelle 
Ye (Yip Shuen) yesterday attended the film DRUG WAR (DUK JIN) press 
conference.  Goo Jai played a criminal and Sun Honglei played a cop.  
He also revealed that To Kei Fung personally handled his facial make up 
and hair style.  Ah To humorously said, "Goo Jai couldn't say that he 
was dissatisfied.  I cut his hair, everyone see how pretty he looks now!"  
As for reports that Goo Jai asked a metaphysics expert to generate luck 
and made over 100 million a year, Goo Jai avoided discussing his worth.  
Was he actually make 200 to 300 million a year?  He boastfully said, "I 
don't know!"  Yet he admitted that he has always had his face read for 
safety.  He said, "Someone predicted that I would break my leg at age 40, 
I thought I would lose my legs so I didn't drive for 10 years.  Finally 
I had a hamstring injury so I considered that to be accurate."  Wallace 
Chung Hong Leung who has worked in the north for years recently signed 
with Ah To's Milky Way Image and hoped to explore the markets in three 
lands on both sides of the strait.  However for years of speaking 
Putonghua in the Mainland, he was not used to speaking Cantonese when he 
returned to make Hong Kong film.

* (2013/03/20) Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin, Chapman To Man Jat and manager 
Mani Fok Man Hei yesterday attended their new film THE MIDAS TOUCH (CHIU 
CUP GAING LEI YUN) press conference.  Ah Sa revealed that in the film she 
played a manager who often turned away jobs for her female artists.  Mani 
said that in real life she has turned down underwear ad campaigns for Ah 
Sa.  Ah Sa said, "Was it for children's underwear?  No way!  If I wear 
(Chrissie) Chau Sau Na's I would scare people, I may get sued.  I would 
rather work on more normal jobs like a floor ad campaign.  (Do you mind 
that your figure is compared to cardboard?)  If suddenly it isn't 
cardboard I would be even more afraid."
	Ah Sa said that she wanted to challenge other characters and did 
not want to make comedy.  She admitted that for years she hoped to win 
an award.  She would like to receive the "Lifetime Achievement Award" 
the most in the future as a recognition for her years of making movies.  
Mani stated that she would tailor a role for Ah Sa and help her full 
invasion of the film industry.
	Ah Jat in the film had many girls around him.  He joked that he 
always thought he had to be handsome like Louis Koo Tin Lok to have so 
many girls, but in recent years Goo Jai has always been around a group of 
guys in his movies.  As for Ah Sa's award wish, Ah Jat said that he 
already planned to adapt the play 29+1 into a film for her and give her a 
hand.  Yet he said that if Ah Sa wanted to win an award this would not be 
the year, because he too felt that this year no one could beat Zhang 
Ziyi.  Actresses today are truly too far from Zhang Ziyi.  Thus if a new 
film could be made this year and be released next year, Ah Sa would have 
a chance.
	Ah Jat convincingly portrayed how cold-blooded the manager is.  
On the stage he first made fun of Yumiko Cheng Hei Yi.  "You are Hong 
Kong's first transvestite manager, I saw how happy you were when you 
took photos with them."  During a game in which he had to match manager 
lingo, he pointed at Ah Sa's cardboard and said, "Where do I stick this?  
Ah Sa is a cardboard?  Why did you write down Mani's stuff?  She wanted 
to sacrifice herself but no one wants her." 
	Later Ah Jat was interviewed with Mani.  Mani tried to explain 
for him but Ah Jat continued, "Are they interviewing you or me?"  Mani 
said, "I am afraid people would misunderstand you."  Ah Jat then 
seriously said, "This time playing this role, I am not alluding to Mani.  
I am directly channeling her.  Do you think it's easy to be such a 
successful manager?"

* (2013/03/20) Ha Yu and his son Dixon Wong Chun Ming attended two films 
ATM (TAI FOON GEI) and BLACK MAGIC (TIN HA DAI YUT DUK GONG) press 
conference.  Ha Yu is the producer.  He said that TAI FOON GEI 
will start production in August.  Will his son Wong Chun Ming star in 
both films?  Ha Yu said that has not been decided yet.  He himself 
started as chore boy, thus he wanted his son to start from the bottom 
too.  Why would Ha Yu permit his son to join the business?  Ha Yu said 
that they have an agreement of no smoking, drinking, drug, joining the 
mob and gambling for his son.
	Although his children were grown, Ha Yu never thought about 
retiring.  Speaking of the recent family tragedies, he joked, "After 
reading about them I dare to retire even less.  I am afraid that I would 
lose touch with society.  If I don't work, what am I going to do when my 
son cuts off my head and puts it in the freezer?"  He also jokingly said 
to his son, "I am sorry for any inconvenience, please forgive me."  He 
even told his son who has not dated yet that it would be best for him to 
find a rich woman to take care of him.

* (2013/03/19) Best Actress Wai Ying Hung yesterday led her new film 
WINTER IS HOPED actors, Korean star Jo Han-Sun, Mainland star Zhao Chulun 
and newcomer Carol Yeung Chi Yiu to the press conference.  Sister Hung 
now has to commute between China and Hong Kong and could only take a week 
to work on WINTER in Korea.  Playing Jo Han-Sun's mother in the film, 
Sister Hung said that she already has done her homework.  Aside from 
online research about Jo Han-Sun, she was even studying Korean.  "In the 
film I have to speak Korean, which is what I am the most afraid of.  I 
am practicing now.  At work when I have free time I would practice 
Korean with my own transliteration."
	Would Sister Hung meet a boyfriend in Korea?  She joked, "For one 
car crash scene in the snow would take two days, who has the time.  Right 
now I worried that my right arm hasn't healed yet.  Earlier I was injured 
while making a series.  I didn't have time to see a doctor.  I only took 
the x ray for the family doctor.  He said that fracture wasn't clear and 
suspected tendon inflammation.  Tomorrow I will see a bone doctor."

* (2013/03/19) Director Law Wing Cheong yesterday along with action 
actor Shi Yanneng (Xing Yu), Anthony Lau Wing, Korean stars Steve Yoo 
Seung-Jun and Popping Hyun-Joon attended the action film THE WRATH OF 
VAJRA (GUM GONG WONG) press conference.  Hyun-Joon showed off his dance 
moves.  Still shooting THE ICEMAN COMETH 3D (3D BING FUNG HUP), Law Wing 
Cheong was asked whether getting location to shoot in Hong Kong was very 
hard.  He said, "You have to go through many departments and the process 
is dragged down.  Yesterday when we secretly went to the Ching Ma Bridge 
for additional actual location shoot we still had some interference."
	Lau Wing said that earlier when he returned to Hong Kong he lost 
his identification card and said that he would see his child on scheduled 
time.  He even praised his former wife Eva Lai Yin San for taking care 
of the family fully.

* (2013/03/19) Best Actor Nick Cheung Ka Fai, Lau Ching Wan, Louis Koo 
Tin Lok, and Berg Ng Ting Yip are working on the Universe film 
METAMORPHOSIS (SO DUK).  After Goo Jai hanging by a thread earlier, Goo 
Jai in a "haunted building" in Thailand performed a dispute scene with 
Ching Wan.  In the film they got mad, argued and tangled up.  They almost 
broke into a fight.  Later Ka Fai and Ng Ting Yip had to break them up.  
Due to all the sand and dust at the location, after a few chases the 
actors' legs were all dirty.
	Did Ka Fai constantly play the intermediary?  He said, "In real 
life I don't have a chance to.  I never like to argue with others.  My 
friends are very mild mannered.  Goo Jai and Ching Wan both performed 
very well and motivated the atmosphere."  Earlier they moved to the 
forest and used a helicopter to shoot and confrontation with drug 
dealers.  They worked in 40 degree Celsius high heat.  Ka Fai said that 
it was not tough.  "The workers treated the actors very well.  We got 
beverages, when we rested we could enjoy the air conditioning in the 
vehicles.  However they had to stay in the sun, I felt bad for them.  
Several even had heat strokes.  Luckily they were fine."

* (2013/03/19) The Hong Kong Entertainment Expo yesterday officially 
opened.  Many film and television products went on display for this 
exhibit that will be filled with overseas buyers.  Andy Lau Tak Wa, 
Sammi Cheng Sau Man, producer Johnnie To Kei Fung and director Wai Ka 
Fai's "box office golden team" film THE BLIND DETECTIVE (MAN TAM) 
received the most attention.  When the trailers with its bloody scenes 
finished, Wa Jai lamented about the series of family murders and urged 
everyone to spend more time to understand those around them.  Sammi even 
said that she was very frightened about becoming a mother.
	The trailer that was shown at THE BLIND DETECTIVE press conference
had its share of bloody scenes and chilling slogans like "shocking 
tragedy, hard to find remains" and "anonymous blind heart will kill", 
reminding people of the recent series of Hong Kong family murders.  Wa 
Jai lamented when he watched the trailer, "I don't know if it was meant 
to be, after watching it I get very sentimental.  I almost want to cry."
	Wa Jai pointed out that this detective mystery reminded him of 
the recent family murders and thought that To Kei Fung and Wai Ka Fai had 
the foresight to bring this type of subject through a light and black 
comedy method to the audience.  He said that the recent murders left him 
sighing.  "Anyone would sense that there is a problem.  Everyone should 
spend more time to understand those around them.  Now there are many 
family organizations that would provide ways to communicate with 
children."  What way would he communicate with his daughter?  He said, "I 
still have awhile to go!"
	Sammi said that before the family murders she already was afraid 
to have children.  She admitted that she was very afraid of becoming a 
mother and having children, the area was very strange to her.  Although 
she did not force herself to wish to be a good mother, with her religious 
beliefs she knew that a lot was beyond her grasp.  She would wait for 
Heaven's arrangement.  Did she and boyfriend Andy Hui Chi On have an 
understanding?  She said, "I am not answering that today."  She did not 
directly respond.  When she saw how cute Wa Jai's daughter was, was Sammi 
motivated to have a child?  She said that she would privately discuss 
that with Wa Jai.  Earlier she gave baby clothing and shoes to Wa Jai's 
daughter.  Wa Jai said, "They were very useful, but friends sent so much 
that we couldn't use them all in time.  We gave some to Chin Kar Lok's 
daughter, friends and other organizations."
	Sammi worked with Wai Jai again after 9 years and felt that they 
still had a lot of spark.  Because they trusted each other, their 
performance was even more daring.  Wa Jai agreed and praised that after 
Sammi rearranged her life she understood her needs even more.  She was 
more enthusiastic and more involved about movies.

* (2013/03/19) Based on famous Hong Kong writer Lee Bik Wa's NIGHT novel 
series, TALES FROM THE DARK (MAI LEI YEH, KEI WAN YEH) yesterday held an 
Entertainment Expo press conference.  Two films will have six stories 
with 6 directors.  Directors Fruit Chan Gor, Simon Yam Tat Wa, Lee Chi 
Ngai, Teddy Robin Kwan, along with actors Kelly Chen Wai Lam, Josephine 
Koo Mei Wa, Eileen Tung Oi Ling and Maggie Siu Mei Kei attended.
	Today is Yam Tat Wa's birthday.  The film company presented a 
birthday cake to celebrate with Yam Tat Wa.  He rushed from Jiangmen to 
attend.  As soon as he was done he rushed back to work in the Mainland.  
Last night he returned to Hong Kong again to celebrate his birthday with 
his wife and daughter.  His birthday wish was for good health.
	Kelly who attended in costume said that it was her first ghost 
film and she has worked on it for a week already.  Everyday she would 
perform all night.  Right now she mainly takes care of her sons "Shrimp 
Dumpling Kid" and "Little Dragon Bun".  How did Lee Chi Ngai get her to 
perform?  Kelly said, "Because all the shoots are at night, my two songs 
are asleep when I head out.  When they get up, I am already home."  Were 
only movies that shot at night suitable for her now?  she said, "I don't 
want to work at night either, but I don't have a choice."  During the 
shoot Kelly did not have any strange encounter.  She even daringly said, 
"I wouldn't have a problem lying down in the morgue or performing in a 
body bag."
	Koo Mei Wa performed in the Chan Gor directed segment.  The last 
time she performed was in 2004 with Joey Wang Cho Yin.  Reportedly Wang 
Cho Yin would make a comeback?  She had no idea but thought it was a good 
thing.  With all the recent tragic news like alleged parent murders and 
a wife murdering a suspected cheating husband then committing suicide, 
Koo Mei Wa felt that the suspects were ill and not normal.  Her sister 
Koo Lai Wa committed suicide after suspecting that her husband was 
cheating.  Did the news bring back any memory or has she already set the 
matter aside?  She said, "It's impossible to put down, but it's not the 
same."

* (2013/03/19) Angelina Zhang (Cheung Woon Nga), Jacqueline Chong Si Man, 
Ava Yu Kiu, Michael Hui Koon Man and Wong Cho Nam yesterday attended the 
China 3D digital entertainment company 2013 film press conference at the 
Convention Center.  Wearing just a suit jacket, Chong Si Man was very 
sexy but still was not match for Cheung Woon Nga; even so, Chong Si Man's 
DELETE (DELETE OI YUN) Wong Cho Nam did not dare to look at her directly 
when everyone stood on the stage to introduce their new films.  He joked 
that at his height, his line of sight would be right at Chong Si Man's 
chest.  Thus he never turned his head the entire time and used Hui Koon 
Man as a shield.
	Cheung Woon Nga denied that she was deliberately stealing the 
spotlight and said that she always dressed like this.  She said, "I want 
to be pristine but I can't.  I am afraid that I pretend to be pure both 
myself and my fans could not help but throw out."  Chong Si Man did not 
mind losing her spotlight and said that she was not constantly comparing 
figures.  Chong Si Man yesterday officially signed with China 3D Digital 
Entertainment for 4 years and hoped to be able to try different genres 
and characters.
	Wong Cho Nam and Hui Koon Man appreciated each other.  Hui Koon 
Man noticed Cho Nam's performance and praised Cho Nam's good comedy 
performance, in full command and had a limitless future.  Cho Nam was 
very happy to receive compliments from his idol and was very surprised 
to be able to work with him.  Reportedly Eliza Sam Lai Heung will play 
Cho Nam's lover?  Cho Nam said, "I want that too, but Heung Heung is so 
popular that her schedule is full.  As far as I know, Heung Heung worried 
that she would have passionate scenes with me.  However actually in the 
film we only have innocence and no passion."

* (2013/03/19) Chapman To Man Jat yesterday announced with the support of 
Satellite television movie channel and Emperor Motion Picture's "Go 
Local" the official establishment of the "Hong Kong Film" production 
company.  In 3 years he will produce 5 local films.  Ah Jat said, 
"Emperor isn't giving me the principle to start my own company.  This is 
a collaboration with them.  I am just the sweaty stockholder, with the 
least share and the most work."
	He is planning 3 movies with Sandra Ng Kwan Yu, Charlene Choi 
Cheuk yin and Fiona Sit Hoi Kei.  "Kwan Yu will play a mob big sister, 
Ah Sa will play the film adaptation of the play 29+1.  I hope to focus on 
administrative and behind the scene work."  He lamented that with the 
overabundance of China Hong Kong co-production films that mostly have 
Mainland female stars in the leads, local actresses lacked performance 
opportunities.  Thus he would deliberately make women subjects.  "The 
total investment amount is 8 figures for 5 movies, so it will be very 
tough.  Kwan Yu and the rest are very helpful, they have to charge less 
for their salaries."
	Speaking of criticism of VULGARIA (DAI JOOK HEI KET) leading to 
China Hong Kong conflict, he said, "The most important is creative 
freedom, I wouldn't conduct self inspection and suppress creativity.  
(Are you already expecting that the movies will not be able to be 
released in the Mainland?)  I never pay attention to the Mainland 
market.  The mob subject cannot possibly pass Mainland inspection, no 
ghost either because China doesn't have a single ghost.  If anyone has a 
script that can't pass Mainland inspection then bring it to me!"

* (2013/03/19) Michelle Wai Si Nga, DaDa Chan Jing and Kelvin Kwan Chor 
Yiu yesterday promoted their new film HARDCORE COMEDY (CHUNG HAU MEI).  
The stills that were on display were rather hardcore.  Aside from naked 
women, DaDa also made an obscene gesture in another photo.  Wai Si Nga's 
character lived in a building with many brothels.  She said, "I am not 
playing a prostitute, but I am their 'goddess'.  In one scene I cook for 
prostitutes, one of the actresses originally wore a bath robe.  When she 
took her mark she was suddenly naked, which made me really want to look 
but I didn't dare to.  Finally I snuck a peek at her."  She pointed out 
that in the film Kwan Chor Yiu installed a camera to peep at her.  
"Originally the director asked me if I could show the edge of my 
underwear, finally I performed in a pair of boxers."  DaDa said, "In the 
film I don't have to be sexy and I don't have any drug use scene, but 
during the performance I have many comedy improvisations."  She said that 
she supported local creativity and thus she did not mind the salary this 
time.

* (2013/03/19) Leon Lai Ming yesterday as the Hong Kong Entertainment 
Expo ambassador attended the 9th Hong Kong Entertainment Expo and the 
17th Hong Kong International Film and Television Market opening 
ceremony.  Lai Ming said that he has attended the Entertainment Expo many 
times.  In 2009 he promoted BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS (SUP YUET WAI SING).  
This year although his role was different from before, he was still 
promoting film.  He was the happiest to hear about the 10% movie discount 
with any purchase during the Expo.  He felt that was very sincere and 
hoped that it would attract even more people to go to the movies.

* (2013/03/19) The 7th Asian Film Award presentation took place last 
night at the Convention center.  Both Best Actor and Best Actress were 
Filipino.  Winning the Asia Pacific Best Actor with BWAKAW, Filipino 
actor Eddie Garcia defeated COLD WAR (HONG JIN)'s Tony Leung Ka Fai to 
win Best Actor again.  He also won the online "My Favorite Actor" award.  
Nora Aunor with THY WOMB defeated Kwai Lun-Mei for Best Actress.  Tied 
for the most nominations MYSTERY won 3 out of 6 awards, including Best 
Film, Best Newcomer, Best Screenwriter.  RHINO SEASON also won 3 as both 
films became big winners.
	The 83 year old Filipino actor Eddie Garcia defeated Leung Ka 
Fai, Joseph Chang Hau Chuen, Liu Ye and Choi Min-Sik to win Best Actor.  
He said, "To those who voted for me online earlier and the jury that 
selected me, I thank them very much."  He earlier won the Asia Pacific 
Best Actor with this film.  He felt very honored to win again and wanted 
to dedicate this Asian Film award to all the nominees.
	Nora Aunor defeated Kwai Lun-Mei, Jo Min-Su, and Hao Lei to win 
Best Actress.  Kwai Lun-Mei earlier won the Golden Horse and Asia Pacific 
Best Actress awards with GF*BF.  This time she was unable to win her 
third Best actress.  Nora Aunor said, "I am very happy, thank you for 
giving me this award.  I especially have to thank my friends in the 
Philippines."  Fellow winner Eddie Garcia said, "In 1978 I directed a 
movie, in which she was the lead actress.  back then she won the Best 
Performance award in the Philippines."  Nora Aunor also said that her 
right leg was injured so she attended in casual shoes, she hoped that 
everyone would understand.
	Korean actress Jo Min-Su did not win Best Actress with PIETA but 
won the online "My Favorite Actress" award.  Japanese actress Makiko 
Watanabe with CAPTURING DAD defeated Gianna Jun Ji-Hyun, Kim Hye-Soo and 
Qin Lan to win Best Supporting Actress.  She said, "I am both happy and 
surprised.  I hope the director would be happy for me.  I will share this 
honor with my parents."  Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui with TALAASH: 
THE ANSWER LIES WITHIN defeated DIVA's Chapman To Man Jat and GF*BF's 
Rhydian Vaughan (Fung Siu Ngok) to win Best Supporting Actor.
	Qi Xi with MYSTERY won Best Newcomer.  She said, "Thank you to 
my parents and my husband.  I want to be a passionate and responsible 
actress, I hope everyone would give me more opportunities."

* (2013/03/19) Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King) won the Excellence in Asian 
Cinema award.  She tearfully said, "I waited for this award for a long 
time.  I started in 1984 and I was very young.  After 20 years I have 
worked with many excellent people.  They are not only Asia's excellent 
filmmakers but also world class.  I thank them for believing in me, 
supporting me and helping me."  Planning to wed she wore a ring on her 
left hand.  Her fiance Jean Todt sent a congratulatory video, which made 
her feel very sweet.  Later they will celebrate together.
	The presenter Mabel Cheung Yuen Ting back then asked Yeung Chi 
King, an action actress who has not played a non action role, to star in 
the drama THE SOONG SISTERS (SUNG GA WONG CHIU).  She said, "Yeung Chi 
King on her first day had 26 bad takes for one shot.  After that she was 
able to face even more challenges."  Corey Yuen Kwai and Sammo Hung Kam 
Bo joked that back then they only worked with Yeung Chi King due to 
pressure from boss Dickson Poon.  Yuen Kwai praised Yeung Chi King's 
courage as she personally went through glass.  "She was the boss lady, I 
was afraid that the boss would act up.  Luckily the result was great."  
Hung Kam Bo said that because the boss wanted to help his girlfriend, he

* (2013/03/19) Mainland director Xu Zheng with LOST IN THAILAND won the 
2012 HIGHEST GROSSING ASIAN FILM award.  He humorously said, "From the 
looks of yesterday's box office, JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE 
DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN) is getting very close.  I thank the event 
for giving me the award before my movie is surpassed.  I always say don't 
look at a movie with its box office, making more good movies is the most 
important.  Yet this award is a very important gift to the film company, 
one that viewers and filmmakers created together."

* (2013/03/19) The 7th Asian Film Award red carpet is star studded.  
Jessica C. stated that she would like to transition into film and hoped 
to take the chance to meet directors.  Would she accept nude performance?  
JC said that she did not want to but would consider it if necessary.  She 
wanted to be an action actress and admired Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King) 
the most.  "She can perform stunts and be sexy as well."  Chapman To Man 
Jat and Fiona Sit Hoi Kei attended together.  JC passed by and To Man Jat 
screamed, "Alarm chest!"  Would he ask JC to make a movie?  He said that

	Miriam Yeung Chin Wa said about LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI 
MING) winning the Osaka Asian Film Festival Audience award, "I received 
the good news from a Pang Ho Cheung text message, I am very happy that 
the audience likes it."
	Andy Lau Tak Wa served a the jury chair.  He thought it was 
tougher than the Golden Horse Award.  "The process of watching movies is 
very lonely."  Anthony Wong Chau Sun attended in a Chinese suit.  He once 
criticized To Man Jat's comment.  Last night he and To Man Jat arrived 
one after another.  He joked, "You make it sound like we live together, 
what do you mean one after another!"  He recently has been busy with 
the IP MAN THE FINAL FIGHT (IP MAN JUNG GIK YUT JIN) promotion and was 
confident about the box office.  He estimated that it will make 40 to 50 
million in Hong Kong and 800 million to 1 billion in the Mainland.
	Deanie Ip Tak Han supported environmental protection as she wore 
an old evening gown.  This year she would like to make more good movies, 
particularly women films.  "Lately male oriented films are numerous, I 
don't know if women aren't valued?  Or do they act poorly?  Or the times 
have no interest in women?"  Guest performer Gigi Leung Wing Kei showed 
off her legs.  Her husband did not accompany her.  "Hubby wants me to

Lai Tai attended new film THE INCREDIBLE TRUTH (YUN GAN JING FAT) press 
conference.  Liu Yan praised Chung Lai Tai as her sexy goddess, but her
own provocative dress overshadowed Chung Lai Tai's.  Liu Yan joked, "I 
usually wouldn't be sexy.  This dress originally was sexier, I already

* (2013/03/19) The Xu Zheng directed LOST IN THAILAND's Mainland box 
office reached 1.26 billion yuan RMB, the current Mainland Chinese film 
box office champion.  It won the 7th Asian Film Award's 2012 Highest 
Grossing Asian Film award.  He never imagined winning the box office 
award because Stephen Chow Sing Chi's JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE 
DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN) in the Mainland so far received 1.237 
billion yuan RMB and headed for LOST IN THAILAND's record.
	As for the outside comparison between the two, Xu Zheng said, "I 
haven't thought much about it, actually Chow Sing Chi's past work has 
been very entertaining.  He is my idol.  I am already mentally prepared 
for the box office record to be broken.  Even if it wasn't JOURNEY, 
other films would still break it.  It proves that the market capacity is 
large.  With more funding flooding in, to directors, investors and 
viewers it is a good thing.  Thus demand for film should be elevated."  
Xu Zheng earlier spoke with Chow Sing Chi and posted the photo online.  
He wrote, "After many years, my wish finally came true.  I have a photo 
with my idol!"  They were described as the "1 Billion Club member" as 
they both broke 1 billion at the box office.
	Although LOST IN THAILAND was a big hit, Xu Zheng reportedly only 
made 30 million yuan.  Xu Zheng admitted that he has not received any 
bonus because the accounting took a long time.  His contract however 
stipulated a bonus so it was "inescapable".

* (2013/03/19) Wu Chun and Ady An Yi Hin in the film SAVING GENERAL YANG 
(JUNG LIT YEUNG GA JEUNG) played the sixth son and Princess Chai.  In one 
scene Wu Chun quietly removed his armor and lay on the grass with An Yi 
Hin romantically, lovingly staring at each other and rolling around in 
the grass.  Because the temperature was very cold, as soon as the 
director yelled cut they immediately put on their coats and bundled up.  
Wu Chun was known for being big and muscular, An Yi Hin revealed that in 
the make up room she often took a peek at Wu Chun's topless figure and 
joked that the film's biggest selling point.

* (2013/03/18) The 49 year old Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King) received 
the 7th Asian Film Award's Excellence in Asian Cinema Award.  Last year 
she accepted the honor.  She happily revealed that she was seriously 
considering marrying her French boyfriend Jean Todt and happy to have run 
into someone she loves.  Enthusiastic about making movies she said that 
she would not retire.  She was waiting for the CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN 
DRAGON 2 script.  Now the conditions for her taking a role was a great 
director and a great script.
	Last night Yeung Chi King was very happy to receive the award.  
Since her career began in Hong Kong, winning an award here was very 
meaningful and quite a honor.  Speaking of marriage, she had good news.  
"We are picking a date.  (Will you wed this year?)  I am thinking about 
it, seriously considering it.  Actually he has already proposed many 
times.  As a woman, I am truly very happy to have someone who loves me so

took place.  Festival ambassador Miriam Yeung Chin Wa along with opening 
film IP MAN THE FINAL FIGHT (IP MAN JUNG GIK YUT JIN) actors Anthony Wong 
Chau Sun, Timmy Hung Tin Ming, Zhou Chuchu attended.  Chin Wa's husband 
Real Ting Chi Ko recently in a financial magazine interview said that he 
would not rely on his wife.  She praised her husband's high emotional 
quotient and professional abilities.  They would not interfere with each 
other and were financially independent.
	Chin Wa said that she has always supported her husband Ting Chi 
Ko's work, respected and did not interfere with him to reduce friction.

	Wong Chau Sun appeared with a Grand Master Ip Man look and a 
provocatively dressed Zhou Chuchu.  Chau Sun lamented at the shocking 
parent murders.  "Did they take the wrong medication?  They are very 
shocking, playing video games until they are dumb.  I told my younger 
son about this news, his personality is more foreign.  My old son is 
more mature."  Was he a strict father?   He pointed out that his younger

Wanchai Convention Center.  This year Andy Lau Tak Wa presides over the 
jury as the event will present the Excellence of Asian Cinema award to 
Michelle Yeoh (Yeung Chi King) and the Highest Box Office Asian Film 
Award to LOST IN THAILAND, director Xu Zheng will accept the award.  
Other guest presenters will include Annie Liu (Lau Sum Yau), Anthony Wong 
Chau Sun, Deanie Ip Tak Han, Gigi Leung Wing Kei, Fiona Sit Hoi Kei, Hu 
Jun, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa, Qin Hailu, Yuen Woo Ping, Kim Ko-Eun and

	This year MYSTERY and NAMELESS GANGSTER: RULES OF THE TIMES both 
received 6 nominations, South Korea's PIETA is also a favorite for Best 
Picture.  The film won the 69th Venice Film Festival Best Picture Golden 
Lion prize.  Director Kim Duk-Ki is also a Best Director favorite.
	This year Hong Kong films are obviously weaker, without any 
Best Picture and Best Director nomination.  For Best Actor Tony Leung Ka 
Fai with COLD WAR (HONG JIN) faces the newly crowned Blue Dragon Best 
Actor and NAMELESS GANGSTER's Choi Min-Sik, GF*BF's Joseph Chang Hau 
Chuen, THE LAST SUPPER's Liu Ye who are all good actors.  However Leung 
Ka Fai and Choi Min-Sik would have an edge.  As for Best Actress, the 
Golden Horse Award and Asia Pacific Film Festival Best Actress, GF*BF's 
Kwai Lun-Mei is the favorite.  Great Bell Best Actress, PIETA's Jo Min-Su 
is also a Best Actress choice in the eyes of filmmakers.

* (2013/03/18) Shu Qi invested in KiKi restaurant with Pauline Lan and 
Matilda Tao yesterday opened its 9th branch store.  Shu Qi at the ribbon 
cutting ceremony revealed that she thought about marriage, because she is 
37 already and should make preparation; however, she still denied that 
she was secretly married to Stephen Fung Tak Lun in the U.S.  Shu Qi 
said that her life circle was very small, all of it was in productions 
so she truly had few suitors.  Tao said, "the more beautiful a woman is 
the lonelier she is.  Fung Tak Lun is very busy, recently he hasn't 
called me." The crowd cracked up.
	Shu Qi recently is working on Hou Hsiao-Hsien's THE ASSASSIN and 
thought about retirement.  "This time has too many inner emotional 
scenes.  Since the shoot started last October to now, I am truly very 
tired.  I hope Director Hou can quickly finish, then I can quickly 
explore my peach blossom (romantic) career.  Fung Tak Lun and I have

* (2013/03/18) Louis Koo Tin Lok and Lau Ching Wan worked on their 
disaster action film INFERNO 3D (TOH CHOOK SUN TIN 3D)'s first poster.  
They had to crawl and teach a child to teach.  They said that it 
exhausted just as much energy as the fire scenes in the film.
	To coordinate with Ching Wan and Goo Jai's rescue of a little 
girl from the fire poster idea, the film company asked the 6 year old 
second generation "Manning Girl" Chloe to play the frightened child.  
Chloe got along famously with Ching Wan and even asked Mommy to get a 
picture of them; however, during the shoot Ching Wan had to pick up the 
38 pound Chloe with one hand.  After a while his arm would get tired.  In 
the next shoot Goo Jai took over.  He not only picked up Chloe but also 
had to put her on his shoulder.  It was a physical battle.
	Chloe was lively and cute but did not know how to look frightened 
or unhappy.  Ching Wan asked her to think of something upsetting, after 
awhile Chloe began to pout and the photographer immediately captured 
this expression.  Later they realized that she was sleepy.  Goo Jai and 
Ching Wan joked, "Luckily Chloe's nap time just arrived and saved us!"

* (2013/03/18) Emperor Motion Picture this year will focus on two major 
films AS THE LIGHT GOES OUT (GAU FOR YING HUNG) and THAT DEMON WITHIN 
(MOR GAING).  The Hong Kong Film and Television Market opening today will 
attract many overseas buyers, thus the film company will release the two 
films' first poster and stills and attract buyers with the hunks.
	AS THE LIGHT GOES OUT starred Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Shawn Yue 
Man Lok, Simon Yam Tat Wa and Hu Jun.  An Emperor and Media Asia joint 
production, the production investment was enormous.  With the large scale 
computer generated special effects, it was a large scale production 
that was rarely seen among Hong Kong films.  THAT DEMON WITHIN was the 
Hong Kong Film Award director Dante Lam Chiu Yin's new police film with 
Best Actor Nick Cheung Ka Fai and Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho); last time Cheung 
Ka Fai with the film BEAST STALKER (JING YUN) won seven Best Actor 
awards.  They teamed up again, determined to create another breakout 
character for Ka Fai.

* (2013/03/18) Nick Cheung Ka Fai and Eddie Peng Yu-Yen starred in the 
Dante Lam Chiu Yin directed new film GIK JIN (EXTREME WAR).  Ka Fai 
continued to break out; Peng Yu-Yen again accepted a hellish training in 
mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiujitsu to turn his body into 3% body 
fat condition and display his perfect shape.  Peng Yu-Yen hoped through 
this film to drastically elevate his acting and action scenes.
	Ka Fai and Peng Yu-Yen both played frustrated people who ran into 
each other and became mentor and disciple in Macau.  They stepped into 
the ring without any fear to challenge strong opponents.

* (2013/03/18) After Gillian Chung Yun's Korean boyfriend Tyler K. was 
introduced to the public, many criticized his looks online.  Two days ago 
Ah Gil attended an IP MAN THE FINAL FIGHT (IP MAN JUNG GIK YUT JIN) press 
conference in Foshan, when asked about her boyfriend's look Ah Gil only 
said, "He is my choice, what others say doesn't matter to me."  As for 
wedding plan, she said that for now she had none.  Although she would 
like children, she would not consider marriage until a few years later.  
Meanwhile Timmy Hung Tim Ming admitted that he would like to have a 
daughter.  The new father said that being a parent was not tough, but he

* (2013/03/18) Juno Mak Chun Lung's first film as a director RIGOR MORTIS 
(GEUNG SI) after two years of preparation and half a year in production 
is still in post production, but it has already received the famous 
international film distribution company Fortissimo Films' global 
distribution (except in Hong Kong and the Mainland) and will strongly 
recommend it to overseas buyers at this year's Hong Kong International 
Film and Television.  According to the distribution company, RIGOR is a 
film without a lot of international market potential.  Juno directed a 
fresh, lively film with long term vision.
	Juno's RIGOR trailer was 1 minute and 30 second long.  Many 
bloody scenes flashed by, the bright spot was the mysterious vampire 
appearance and the cast's intriguing acting.  The leads included Chin Siu 
Ho, Wai Ying Hung, Paw Hee Ching and Lo Hoi Pang.  In one of the posters 
that he came up with was a muddy, topless Chin Siu Ho and displayed his 
masculine charm.  He spent half a day putting mud on Siu Ho.

* (2013/03/17) Hollywood star Uma Thurman and Donnie Yen Chi Tan last 
night attended the Power of Film charity show.  They chatted nonstop and 
picked up KILL BILL's prop weapons to pretend to duel.
	When asked if she remembered KILL BILL's Hong Kong actor Gordon 
Liu (Lau Ka Fai)?  She said, "I remember him, we haven't seen each other 
in a long time.  Will he come tonight?  Will I see him?"  When the press 
informed her that Lau Ka Fai suffered stroke and was not well, she was

* (2013/03/17) Simon Yam Tat Wa yesterday attended a photography event.  
The recent parent murder and dismemberment case and the Pat Heung family 
murder made him very unhappy.  He even sensed that parents should not 
pressure their children too much, so he would not pressure his 8 year old 
daughter.  Right now she wants to be a designer and he just lets her 
develop freely.  Speaking of THE ICEMAN COMETH 3D (3D BING FUNG HUP) not 
receiving government approval to shoot on the Ching Ma Bridge but foreign 
films receiving different treatment, Yam Tat Wa said that the government 
has never supported domestic culture industries.  Hong Kong film had to

* (2013/03/16) Donnie Yen Chi Tan recently has been busy with his new 
film THE ICEMAN COMETH 3D (3D BING FUNG HUP).  A major scene was 
originally scheduled to be shot on the Ching Ma Bridge, but finally the 
team relocated it to a very realistic Ching Ma Bridge replica at the old 
airport.
	Because this scene was a classic scene in THE ICEMAN COMETH, 
action director Lord Tan naturally asked to elevate it more.  No wonder 
he kept an eye on it throughout the entire process.  The film company 
not only bought a white horse for the shoot for also prepared over 30 
cars to be obstacles.  Executives also called in favors and convinced 
Julian Cheung Chi Lam to loan his over 3 million Lamborghini as a prop.
	Lord Tan revealed that this time many of the Hollywood special 
effect elite participated in the production and the team was rather 
united.  Speaking of the danger of horse riding, he admitted that the 
white horse was not used to run on concrete and added to the risk.  He 
told the team that safety came first.
	He said, "The preparation could take its time, safety first.  
(Are you afraid that you would injure and deform your finger like Nick 
Cheung Ka Fai did?)  Actually mine were all broken long ago, they 
couldn't be extended.  I too want the shoot to be more comfortable.  I 
never expect the film company to give me even more idea.  For example 
they came up with this scene."  Did Lord Tan want to invade Hollywood 
with this film?  He humbly said, "I haven't thought about it, I just 
wanted to do my part.  As long as viewers like this film it's fine."
	Yesterday Lord Tan rode a white horse in pursuit of the villain 
and faced off against Chilam's Lamborghini.  The scene was both intense 
and exciting.  Lord Tan understood that the audience was already tired of 
watching "fighting from the beginning to the end" action scene.  He 
decided to try something new with visual effects this time.  As for 
Chilam's loan, Lord Tan said, "I am not sure, the film company arranged 
for everything.  If it's broken tell them to compensate.  (Would you 
take Chilam to dinner?)  Any time.  (Would you give him premiere 
tickets?)  No problem."
	Yen Chi Tan in the new film had a lot of action scenes.  Lead 
actress Eva Huang Shengyi was no exception either.  Earlier she rode a 
scooter on the Ma Ching Bridge replica.  Shengyi was still a little 
shaken.  "I was a little worried, but with Chi Tan in the back it's OK."
	Once a "Sing Girl", did Shengyi ask Stephen Chow Sing Chi to 
dinner while working in Hong Kong?  She admitted that they were in 
contact.  "I didn't ask him to dinner though because everyone is so 
busy.  Earlier he was busy with the Mainland promotion of JOURNEY TO THE 
WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN).  I had to make movies

However she took time to watch JOURNEY.  "Although Sing Yeh didn't

	The film company built an 1:1 scale model of the Ching Ma Bridge 
at the old Kai Tak airport and spent almost half a month.  To avoid the 
set being unveiled too soon, the film company even built three to four 
story tall barricades to hide it!
	Reportedly, the film company applied to shoot on the Ching Ma 
Bridge with the government but was not approved.  They then build the 
replica at the old Kai Tak airport.

* (2013/03/16) Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing has passed away for ten years.  
Every year on Gor Gor's birthday and death anniversary his Japanese fans 
would present origami cranes.  To commemorate the tenth anniversary of 
Gor Gor's passing, earlier fans collected over 1 million origami cranes 
and applied for the Guinness World Record.  Gor Gor's friend and manager 
Chan Suk Fun revealed that they have already collected over 2 million 
origami cranes.  Mrs. Chan said, "The application was a success, now we 
are just waiting for an examiner to confirm."  Before the examination, 
Mrs. Chan asked fans and volunteers to open up the folded origami cranes 
because 2 million cranes would require a lot of human hands.
	Mrs. Chan revealed that the memorial concert at the end of the 
month will prohibit recording to avoid affecting the atmosphere and the 
live broadcast quality, thus viewers will not be able bring any 
photography equipment.

* (2013/03/16) Veteran artist Kong Ngai earlier passed away due to 
illness.  When he worked on the film OVERHEARD 2 (SIT TING FUNG WON 2) 
he was rumored to have an ocean jump scene, for which he asked for a 
double to no avail and ended up with an injury.  Director Alan Mak Siu 
Fai was surprised and denied it.  He said, "First we didn't make any 
ocean jump scene, secondly even if we had this scene I definitely 
wouldn't let him personally perform it."  The director expressed regret 
over Kong Ngai's passing, he would pay his respect at the funeral.

* (2013/03/16) Gigi Leung Wing Kei revealed that next month she will 
start work on Pang Ho Cheung's new film HEUNG GONG JAI (ABERDEEN) and 
thus she is working hard on her weight loss.  Speaking of Pang's film 
VULGARIA (DAI JOOK HEI KET) and its ensuing controversy, she supported 
him.  "I don't feel the movie is deliberately leading to China and Hong 
Kong conflict, perhaps the message that each viewer receives is 
different.  The new film is about authentic Hong Kong culture.  If the 
story requires it, I wouldn't mind using foul language.  However I would 
need to practice."  Gigi has not made a Hong Kong film in a long time.  
Her husband was the happiest because she would not need to go to the 
Mainland for location shoot.  Her husband has seen VULGARIA's online 
trailer and praised Director Pang's alternative technique.  He rather 
admired him and thus Gigi looked forward to her new film.

* (2013/03/15) "Temple Street Song King" wan Kwong earlier performed two 
shows at the Cultural Center.  The shows were sold out and he invited 
fellow impersonation expert and funny man Lo Hoi Pang as his guest.  
Brother Pang adapted Roman Tam (Law Tam)'s SEVERAL ROUNDS OF STORM (GEI 
HUI FUNG YU) into SEVERAL ROUNDS OF MAD WORDS.  He also revealed that he 
worked on Wong Kar Wai's film for three full years.  He complained, "At 
my age, I don't want to suffer.  Don't expect me for a series.  Earlier I 
worked on Wong Kar Wai's film, I grew my facial hair for three long 
years.  For continuity I couldn't shave either."

* (2013/03/15) Yesterday Julian Cheung Chi Lam's right eye reportedly had 
a blood vessel suppressing a nerve, from which he could be blind at any 
time and will require brain surgery.  Cheung Chi Lam replied, "Thank you 
for your concern!  Because of the pressure on the nerve, my eyelids were 
twitching.  However, now they stopped.  The doctor also thought the 
problem was minor.  (You could be blind at any time?)  That's 
exaggerated, in April I will work on a 3D movie with (Gillian) Chung Yun 
Tung and Wai Ying Hung.  I will even have fight scenes in it.  If it 
really is that severe, I wouldn't have taken it!"

* (2013/03/15) April 14 will be Eric Tsang Chi Wai's 60th birthday.  His 
friends like Alan Tam WIng Lun and Nat Chan Pak Cheung will accompany him 
to the end and even travel the world for him.  Speaking into his birth 
month, Chi Wai has already attended celebrations endlessly.  Even the 
32nd Hong Kong Film Award had to make room for him and take place on the 
13th so host Chi Wai would be able to celebrate his birthday.
	The mission of celebrating Chi Wai's birthday this year fell on 
TVB.  As the new boss Chan Kwok Keung took over TVB, his buddy Chi Wai 
has been giving his all in negotiating artist performances.  Even with 
the TVB and HKTV free license issue, Chi Wai intensely urged unity at a 
basin banquet.  For his effort TVB will invest 7 figures to celebrate 
this almost "half a boss" Chi Wai's birthday.
	TVB executive Yu Wing Shan yesterday revealed that TVB on the 
10th will organize a 60 table banquet at the Wanchai Convention Center 
and invite over 700 on and off camera talent to celebrate his birthday in 
advance.  Some of the event will be recorded for the 14th special program 
"Super Show".
	As for Hong Kong Film Award making room for him, Yu Wing Shan 
admitted that and said that many people loved Chi Wai.  "I know the 
people withe the Hong Kong Film Award treated Chi Wai very well, they 
deliberately accommodate his birthday and put it on the 13th.  You can 
tell how important Chi Wai is in this business.  (Who will be his 
guests?)  We sent invitation to over 400 people in the business, we want 
to play it like a party."  Hong Kong Film Award yesterday replied, "A 
year ago the Hong Kong Film Award has already booked the 13th with the 
Cultural Center, no comment on whether it was to accommodate Chi Wai's 
birthday."

* (2013/03/15) April 1 this year will the 10th anniversary of Leslie 
Cheung Kwok Wing (Gor Gor)'s passing.  Gor Gor's friend and manager Chan 
Suk Fun on March 31st will organize a memorial concert.  Chan Suk Fun 
urged fans to be on time because at the opening she had a very important 
message from Gor Gor to all the fans.  Mrs. Chan said, "It's what Gor Gor 
wanted to say to everyone, (What is it about?)  About himself."
	Mrs. Chan was afraid of revealing the message that Gor Gor left.  
She said, "This matter has been in my heart for ten years.  Over those 
ten years I don't know how to express it.  One night two or three months 
ago, I suddenly had a vision.  I then thought of how to express the 
message to everyone.  If the message is not said this time, it might 
never have a chance to be told in this lifetime."  Was this important 
message Gor Gor's final words?  Mrs. Chan said, "I can't say final words, 
it was Gor Gor's final message to everyone."
	How many people knew about this message?  Mrs. Chan admitted that 
in a year or two after Gor Gor's passing she once told someone about 
this message.  She said, "But this person wasn't Tong Tong.  I didn't 
dare to tell him yet."
	Many singers will attend and participate that night, but Mrs. 
Chan did not want to give people the impression that she was promoting 
and declined to announce the list.  She only revealed that over 15 
singers and artists will perform.  She said, "Many singers very sincerely 
called and asked if they could participate."  As for the concert will be 
broadcast on TVB, Mrs. Chan said that nothing has been confirmed yet.  
Currently she is in negotiation with the broadcast media.

* (2013/03/15) Veteran actor Kong Ngai passed away due to lung cancer.  
Originally named Tang Siu Yi he once had the stage name of Kwong Ngai.  
He has always been full of interest in acting.  In 1974 he joined TVB, 
although his characters were not leads they still left a deep impression 
with the audience; in particular his performance of Or Chun Ngok in 
LEGEND OF CONDOR HEROES (SEH DIU YING HUNG JUEN) and THE RETURN OF CONDOR 
HEROES (SUN DIU HUP NUI) was the best known.
	Kong Ngai revealed in an interview that religion was very 
influential in his view of life and death, he would not persist and would 
only remain happy.  Two years ago, after his return with OVERHEARD 2 (SIT 
TING FUNG WON 2) he accepted a lot of interviews.  He mentioned his life 
view.  On Commercial Radio programs he talked about that.  He said that 
he admired the most the lyrics "four sufferings are originally normal".  
He explained that the four sufferings were life, old age, sickness and 
death.  They were paths that everyone must take.  Many people might 
avoid talking about death, but in his Buddhism it was a renewal in the 
future.  Like sleeping, the next day you got up and could take your own 
life's path.  He personally felt that he did not need to persist, his 
body was only a shell.
	He has always been single.  However, in an interview he revealed 
that he once dated.  However when his girlfriend asked how many people 
who acted came to be Patrick Tse Yin, she moved on under the pressure of 
her mother; another girlfriend had blood cancer and nothing came of the 
relationship.
	Because Kong Ngai was willing to teach younger generations, he 
was deeply respected.  Kong Ngai's final work was OVERHEARD 2.  The 
film's director Felix Chong Man Keung yesterday lamented that the passing 
of an elder was regrettable, because he originally wanted to invite Kong 
Ngai to participate in OVERHEARD 3.  Other artists and juniors remembered 
him online.  Liza Wang Ming Chuen said, "Uncle Kong Ngai, you were an 
elder who made people respect you.  I wish you a safe journey!  I have 
worked with you on many series.  On my road of growth, the acting 
knowledge and techniques that I have learned from you were useful for a 
lifetime.  Thank you!"  Wong Cho Nam said, "Elder, have a safe journey!"  
Pang Ho Cheung said, "I will always remember your exciting performance in 
THE GREED OF MAN (DAI SIU DOI).  Have a safe journey."  Margie Tsang Wa 
Sin said, "My respected Uncle Kong Ngai, have a safe journey!  I will 
always miss you!"

* (2013/03/15) Peter Lam Kin Ngok's Media Asia added Donnie Yen Chi Tan 
to its roster and the contract signing will take place next Wednesday.  
Yen Chi Tan will become Boss Yen and form his own company to make movies.  
He will also have long term collaboration projects that is expected to 
work with Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) and Leon Lai Ming.  Yen Chi Tan as 
the new film company boss will still be able to make other film 
companies' movies and catapult his stardom to new heights.
	According to Yen Chi Tan's assistant, Lam Kin Ngok and Yen Chi 
Tan will form a production company that will have long term 
collaboration.  As for the collaboration format, it will be announced 
later at the press conference.  Yen Chi Tan will explain in detail.  Will 
it affect Yen Chi Tan's film deals outside?  She said it will not.  Yen 
Chi Tan will be able to make movies for other companies.  Later he will 
work on a Teddy Chan Tak Sum directed Emperor new film and is still 
considering CROUCHING TIGER HIDDEN DRAGON 2 (NGOR FU CHONG LUNG 2).

* (2013/03/15) For the 10th anniversary of Gor Gor Leslie Cheung Kwok 
Wing's passing, Olympian City and Red Mission will continue their 
collaboration and organize a memorial event from March 22 to Apirl 7.  
Everyone will be able to relive Gor Gor's music foot steps.  The exhibit 
will construct a mini Hong Kong Coliseum, through time travel Gor Gor 
will appear inside and perform a concert.  Aside from the Coliseum, the 
venue will turn into the streets of Central that Gor Gor frequented, 
displaying his Hong Kong vinyl record releases and posters.  His shadows 
will be in every corner of the city.  The venue will also display his 
classic music video scenery, like the old time gas light Duddell Street 
and the old Legislative Council Building.  Those who will spend a certain 
amount or donate HK$20 will even be able to get a photo with Gor Gor.  
The proceed will be donated to the Children's Cancer Foundation.

* (2013/03/15) Sammi Cheng Sau Man yesterday attended a skin care product 
event.  Sammi with ROMANCING IN THIN AIR (GO GUI BUT JI LUEN II) received 
a Hong Kong Film Award Best Actress nomination.  She admitted that she 
was confident but winning or not would not be important.  Instead walking 
the red carpet will bring her the most pressure.  "In the year of the 
EVERLASTING REGRET (CHEUNG HUNG GOR) nomination I was so sick that I was 
barely breathing, so I didn't walk the red carpet.  However I am very 
happy about my recovery.  I would happily walk it."  If she won would 
she celebrate with a wedding?  Sammi said, "I don't know how to respond, 
I don't have anything planned!"  This will Sammi's third nomination.  She 
was already used to squeezing out a natural expression when she lost.  
This year she wanted to express a honest side.  "If I lose I will use 
honesty to express disappointment.  If I win I will very honestly go

* (2013/03/14) On April 1 2003, superstar of a generation Leslie Cheung 
Kwok Wing (Gor Gor) due to depression fell to his death and played a 
cruel joke with everyone on April Fool's Day.  Ten years after Gor Gor's 
passing, memories certainly resonated as his friends and fans continued 
to hold memorial events.  The best known would be the memorial concert on 
the eve of Gor Gor's passing.  Reportedly TVB will broadcast the concert.
	Ten years ago, Hong Kong was under the assault of SARS.  Death 
cast a shadow over the entire city.  Cheung Kwok Wing chose on April 
Fool's Day to jump from the 24th floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and 
ended his 46 years of life.  The news shocked Hong Kong.  Gor Gor's 
beloved Donald Tang Hok Tak was heart broken.  He revealed that Gor Gor 
had depression, with his director dream being hindered he made the 
incorrect choice and ended his life.
	This year will be the tenth anniversary of Gor Gor's passing.  
His friends and fans still miss him.  On this special occasion memorial 
events will take place.  Gor Gor's former manager Chan Suk Fun prepared 
a memorial concert that will take place on the eve of Gor Gor's passing 
on March 31st, invite Gor Gor's friends to perform his hits and share his 
life.  Because it was one show only, getting a ticket was hard.  The 
organizer reportedly is in negotiation with TVB to broadcast the program 
and radio stations for a live broadcast.  If royalty issues could be 
resolved, fans who could not buy a ticket would be able to remember Gor 
Gor as well.
	Although the organizer has kept the performer list confidential, 
Jacky Cheung Hok Yau, Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Karen Mok Man Wai, Kelly Chen

said, "I will sing a medley of Gor Gor's fast songs.  I spent two weeks 
on dance rehearsals.  I have known Gor Go for many years, he treated me

memorial book release in memory of their idol forever.  Red Mission 
spokesperson yesterday said, "Mr. Tong agreed to loan out Gor Gor's 
FAREWELL MY CONCUBINE Best Actor award from the Japanese film critic 
association.  Chan Sin Chi and Chan Yau Kin would loan us Gor Gor's 
clothing for the exhibit."
	TVB, Cable, ATV, Commercial Radio, Radio Hong Kong and Metro 
Radio will also play Gor Gor's films, series and specials to remember Gor

* (2013/03/14) Aaron Kwok Fu Sing earlier starred in the Charlie Yeung 
Choi Nei directed film CHRISTMAS ROSE (SING DAN MUI GWAI), the poster of 
which has been unveiled.  He appeared in a suit and glasses.  The sexual 
assault victim Kwai Lun-Mei sat in a wheel chair and in the film she 
would describe the assault during an examination with the "inhuman 
doctor" Chang Chen.

* (2013/03/14) Star of many classic television series, veteran actor Kong 
Ngai yesterday passed away due to lung cancer at the Ruttonjee Hospital.  
Actors who were familiar with him all expressed regret.
	Kong Ngai's final film was OVERHEARD 2 (SIT TING FUNG WON 2).  
The star of the film Daniel Wu (Ng Yin Cho) through his manager said that 
working with Uncle Kong Ngai was pleasant, he has learned a lot and wished 
him a safe journey.  Director Alan Mak Siu Fai is planning OVERHEARD 3, 
in which several characters would have been suitable for Kong Ngai.  He 
expressed regret to learn about his passing and admitted that he would 
miss his laughter.
	The last series that TVB producer Lee Tim Sing worked with Kong 
Ngai on was THE LEGEND OF CONDOR HEROES (SIU DIU YING HUNG JUEN) and 
praised Kong Ngai for standing firm with his principles.  When he saw 
some training class actors being less than serious he would yell at them 
on the spot.  He was very professional.  Currently busy with a play 
Michelle Yim (Mai Suet) said that during rehearsal someone mentioned Kong 
Ngai because he used to perform plays as well.  Adam Cheng Siu Chau was 
very upset after learning about Kong Ngai's passing, only saying, "One 
less friend of many years."
	Liza Wang Ming Chuen who worked with Kong Ngai on television 
series YESTERDAY'S GLITTER (GAING WA CHUN MUNG) and HEAVEN SWORD AND 
DRAGON SABRE (YI TING DOH LUNG GEI) was surprised to learn about Kong 
Ngai's passing.  She asked reporters, "Is it true?  I really haven't 
seen him in awhile because he hasn't returned to TVB.  He was a good 
actor and our elder.  I of course regret his passing."  Susanna Kwak Kuk 
Ying worked with Kong Ngai on series THE BROTHERS (CHUN CHING) and THE 
GIANT (KEUNG YUN).  Yesterday she admitted that months ago she visited 
the hospital and ran into Kong Ngai.  Sister Kuk recalled that Kong Ngai 
was in a wheel chair at the time.  She greeted him.  At the time Kong 
Ngai admitted that he was ill but he was still alert.  Sister Kuk praised 
Kong Ngai as a good actor, she admired him very much and regretted his 
passing.
	Kong Ngai's friend former ATV producer Yeung Siu Hung said that 
last night he went to the hospital to visit Kong Ngai, but the medical 
personnel informed him that Kong Ngai passed away in the afternoon.  
	Yeung Siu Hung worked with Kong Ngai in both TVB and ATV.  Their 
final collaboration was the play JUSTICE MY FOOT (SUM SEI GUOON).  He 
said that the most amazing part of Kong Ngai's performance was that he 
even memorized his co-star's lines.  No one would dare challenge him in 
this aspect.
	Veteran filmmaker Fong Ping said that several days ago he and his 
wife Nina Paw Hee Ching visited Kong Ngai at the hospital.  At the time 
they were chatting and laughing.  Kong even spoke English with them.  He 
was very sadden to hear the news of his passing.  Simon Yam Tat Wa worked 
with Kong Ngai during his TVB days.  He said that although he would get 
frustrated at times, he was very willing to teach the younger generation.  
He also benefited a lot from Kong Ngai.  "At an old age facing death is 
inevitable.  Everyone should cherish friends around them even more."
	Kong Ngai Sun was originally named Tang Siu Yi.  
Born in Zhongshan, Guangzhou, "Kong Ngai" was a name in memory of his 
most respected percussion master Kong Cham.  Before joining show business 
he specialized in American stocks at an investment company in the 60s.  
Because he was the youngest, co-workers called him Billy Jai.
	Kong Ngai joined show business because of his love of acting.  
Early on he joined Hong Kong drama troupe and participated in plays.  
Later he added film and television to his resume.  In 1974 he joined TVB 
and performed in almost 100 television series, including AH Q JING JUEN, 
LUNG FU PAU with Shek Sau and Ho Sau Shun, YESTERDAY'S GLITTER with Wang 
Ming Chuen.  His most classic character was LEGEND OF CONDOR HEROES' Or 
Chun Ngok and THE GREED OF MAN (DAI SI DOI)'s Chan Man Nin.  His line in 
GREED "So many people die, I don't see you die?" became a classic.  In 
1996 Kong Ngai left TVB and gradually the small screen.  Passionate about 
stage performance, in 2001 he received a Hong Kong Drama Awards Best 
Supporting Actor for TIN HA DAI YUT LAU.  His 2011 film OVERHEARD 2 
became his final work.
	Rarely had any rumor, Kong Ngai was always single.  He said that 
he grew up in a wealthy family and his family tried to arrange a marriage 
for him, but unfortunately due to war it was scrapped.  Later when he 
escaped to Hong Kong as a refugee, he ran into someone he liked, but at 
the time her mother minded that he sold Chinese goods and was poor and 
the romance went up in smoke.  An avid Cantonese Opera fan, he always 
played the male diva.  He once revealed that he was good friends with 
Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing and Danny Chan Pak Keung.

* (2013/03/14) Jet Li (Lee Nin Kit) earlier became an air conditioning 
product spokesman for US$10 million and the company invested in his film 
YUT DOH DOH TIN MING (UNTIL SUNRISE).  Under the investment company's 
arrangement, Lee Nin Kit scouted the Xiangshan film and television base.

Spring Banquet took place last night.  Joey Yung Cho Yi, Twins, Nicholas 
Tse Ting Fung, Leo Ku Kui Ke and Raymond Lam Fung attended as well as 
Best Actor Wai Ying Hung, Best Actor Anthony Wong Chau Sun.  Gillian 
Chung Yun Tung earlier appeared at a film premiere with her boyfriend Mr. 
K in Seoul and last night they attended together.
	This time Ah Gil first arrived with Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin, her 
boyfriend Mr. K later appeared with Korean stars Kim Hyo-Yeon, Miss A's 
Lee Min-Young, Han Ga-In, and Yeon Jung-Hoon.  Emperor executive Ng Yu 
came a special welcome and became the focus of the entire event.
	Mr. K graciously posed for photos but did not accept any 
interview.  Reportedly Mr. K was working with Emperor, assisting 
Emperor artists with development in Korea and the U.S.  Would Ah Gil have 
an advantage with her boyfriend's assistance?  She said that Mr. K was 
only helping the company and not her.  So far Ah Gil had no plan to work 
in Korea.  She will work on a movie in Beijing and be away from Hong Kong 
in April and May.  Ah Sa was happy for Ah Gil and reminded her sister to 
give her a hand.
	Ah Gil admitted that she was very happy to walk the red carpet 
with her boyfriend in Seoul.  That day her boyfriend suggested for them 
to walk together in the last minute.  Would she ask her boyfriend to pose 
for photos with the press?  She sweetly said, "I will ask him later!"  Ah 
Sa praised Mr. K and said that the most important was for him to treat Ah 
Gil well.  
	Yung Cho Yi dined with Ah Gil and Mr. K and also had endless 
compliments.  She said that Ah Gil's performance was better after she 
started dating.  Every couple would affect each other in a relationship.  
Would she and Wilfred Lau Ho Lung have the same influence?  Joey said 
that it was perfect but she might affect him.  Earlier after she spent the 
night at his home, Lau Ho Lung admitted that was normal for a couple.  
Joey said, "Since he admitted it then I am not saying any more, I don't 
need to clarify so much.'  She said that she was happy about her 
relationship but her boyfriend was upset that the report made his home

U.S.  In August she will head there for half a month of class.  Her

	Wong Chau Sun and Chapman To Man Jat ran into each other.  Two 
days ago Chau Sun on a radio interview mentioned the VULGARIA (DAI JOOK 
HEI KET) controversy.  He disagreed with To Man Jat and Pang Ho Cheung 
that vulgar was the nucleus of Hong Kongers, that the two of them could 
be cheap but should not drag Hong Kongers along with them.  Chau Sun's 
comment upset Ah Jat.  Last night he struck back and said that since Chau 
Sun did not even recognize Show Luo (Law Chi Cheung) he would not bother 
to respond!
	Ah Jat and Chau Sun attended the Spring Banquet one after 
another.  About Chau Sun calling him cheap, Ah Jat dodged the question 
and said no response, no comment and no opinion.  Was he keeping his 
mouth shut to avoid a war of words?  He said, "He doesn't even recognize 
Law Chi Cheung, why bother responding!"
	When Chau Sun arrived, he said that he did not know Ah Jat would 
attend as well.  At first he said that Ah Jat had luck with people and 
would not be petty.  Even if they ran into each other it would not be 
awkward.  As for publicly calling Ah Jat cheap, he said, "It's been 
said!  You are bringing it up again?  Do you want to whip out an English 
to Chinese dictionary to translate?"  When he learned of Ah Jat's reply, 
Chau Sun said that he could say whatever he wanted.  However, he would 
present the Hong Kong Film award Best Actor.  Originally he came up with 
his lines, now he would have to consider them again.  Ah Jat was one of 
the first Best Actor nominees, but Chau Sun said that four would win.  
Did he skip Ah Jat?
	After JJ Jia (Ga Hiu Sun) started dating Louis Fan Siu Wong she 
has been accused of lack of focus at work and wanting to wed.  Fan Siu 
Wong was asked when he would marry JJ.  He said that although he wanted 
to marry JJ, his girlfriend still had career ambitions so for now they 
would keep dating.  He said that he did not need to find a manager for 
her because many were fighting to sign her.  Currently she had one 
television series after another, she did not have any grievance or 
displeasure.  Fan Siu Wong also explained to her that in show business, 
good or bad news still proved that she had news value.

* (2013/03/14) Donnie Yen Chi Tan in the film THE ICEMAN COMETH 3D (3D 
BING FUNG HUP) was a kung fu master who excelled in disguises.  He often 
changed his look around his enemies.  Every time he shot a transformation 
he needed to stay still for 3 hours for the make up artist to change his 
"face".  After the shoot he again needed 3 hours to remove the make up.
	Yen Chi Tan earlier already had the transformation experience.  
The most surprising was after his disguise he looked like Daniel Wu (Ng 
Yin Cho).  As for the three hour make up application and removal, he 
joked, "Since I have worked on transformation scenes before I didn't 
suffer at all, I am used to it; but if we make a sequel I would really 
have to think about it."

* (2013/03/14) DaDa Chan Jing, Paulyn Sun Kai Kwan and Michelle Wai Si 
Nga two nights ago attended the film HARDCORE COMEDY (CHUNG HAU MEI) 
wrap banquet.  DaDa said that she was somewhat afraid about representing 
VULGARIA (DAI JOOK HEI KET) alone at the Osaka Film Festival, thus she 
would dress sexier for courage.  As for Anthony Wong Chau Sun hinting 
that Pang Ho Cheung and Chapman To Man Jat cheapened Hong Kongers, she 
felt that every place would have cultural differences.  Entertainment 
should not be connected to politics.  DaDa in the film had scenes with 
William Chan Wai Ting.  Although they did not have any intimate scene, 
he still had to perform a strip tease in front of her.  She joked that 
usually she would get some shut eye when she was not in a scene, but that 
day she watched.  She even praised that he was very fit.  Was she envious 
that Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin had a big boyfriend?  She said that she did 
not think that far.
	Sun Kai Kwan returned to the silver screen after many years.  In 
the film she played a masseuse.  She said that she still had to get used 
to the all night shoots and the lack of rest.  She obviously looked 
different from before, but she was not worried about that because every 
person would look different as they grew up.  Did her former rumored 
boyfriend Stephen Chow Sing Chi's big hit JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING 
THE DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN) attract her to go to the movies?  She 
said that she has not have the time but stressed that she definitely will 
watch it.
	Wai Si Nga in the film played Kelvin Kwan Chor Yiu's sex 
fantasy.  She revealed that in one scene Kwan Chor Yiu had to perform 
self pleasing expressions while watching her, but as soon as they made 
eye contacts they would keep laughing and have bad takes.  The director 
asked him to be more serious.  Finally they had to adjust their field of 
vision to be able to complete the shoot.

DADA CHAN PLAYS DUMB FOR AWARDS

	Earlier Josie Ho Chiu Yi with the film PASSION (HO CHING)'s 
Chiu Long Long won the Hong Kong Film Award Best Supporting Actress.  
This year DaDa Chan Jing with her outstanding character Popping Candy to 
become the Best Support Actress nominee favorite.  Both characters win 
with their "mouths", vulgar may not be what Jia Xuanning called 
guilt-free pleasure; and general entertainment may not have to be on par 
with online and cultural activities.  DaDa has never minded being called 
vulgar.  Thanks to director Pang Ho Cheung and lead Chapman To Man Chat 
being dirty and vulgar, her character in the film came about. 
- WAN MAN CHI

	Chan Jing goes from pseudo model to commercials, photo books to 
the entertainment circle.  In three years among all the pseudo models 
she broke out.  The character Popping Candy in the film VULGARIA (DAI 
JOOK HEI KET) blew into this year's Hong Kong Film Award Best Supporting 
Actress favorite.  Originally a film contest, thanks to Jia Xuanning's 
critique, caught the general public's attention.  DaDa said, "I have 
read Ms. Jia's article.  Entertainment and politics are two different 
things, they shouldn't be mixed together.  I know Director Pang made this 
movie purely to give Hong Kongers some laughter, now it involves using 
vulgar to be a hit.  However it is still a good thing, at least people 
are talking."  DaDa said that she grew up on Hong Kong film.  Perhaps the 
cultural difference led to the difference of opinions between everyone.  
She said, "I feel Ms. Jia's analysis and the article isn't wrong.  
Everyone has his or her own opinion.  I agree with what Ah Jat said, it's 
not the girl's problem; it's the award presenter's problem."

Preparing A Speech
	DaDa with VULGARIA's Popping Candy jumped out, actually before 
the shoot she had no idea what the character was saying and did not know 
that it was a category III film.  She only told director Pang Ho Cheung 
her bottom line.  The surprise was after the Taiwan Golden Horse 
nomination she again received the Hong Kong Film Award Best Supporting 
Actress nomination.  DaDa said, "I am very happy, earlier when I was 
nominated for the Gold Horse it was already like a dream.  I never even 
thought about participating in the Hong Kong Film Award."  DaDa described 
her current mood as "very nervous".  "I am looking for clothing and 
shoes, right now I am actively losing weight."  However she is already 
planning to lose.  DaDa said, "I will prepare a speech, but it probably 
won't be used then.  Lately many behind the scene people congratulated 
me and cheered me on, to me I am already very happy with or without an 
award."
	This year DaDa's competition included veterans like Susan Shaw 
Yam Yam and Elaine Jin (Kam Yin Ling), but DaDa was considered the 
favorite.  "Sister Yam yam is the real favorite.  She has won twice, no 
one dares to compete with her.  She also declares no one should compete 
with her.  Of course the best would be the same count vote and we both 
win!"  DaDa admitted that she has already seen her competition's work.  
"I like (Mavis) Fan Hiu Huen, Kam Yin Ling also performed very well.  
For personal reasons of course I pick Sister Yam Yam."
	After getting into the business DaDa could count all the movies 
that she has made in one hand.  To be able to reach Best Supporting 
Actress nomination, she had to thank two dirty benefactors Pang Ho 
Cheung and To Man Jat.  She said, "I thank the director for giving me a 
chance, I also thank To Man Jat very much.  They are two of the most 
important men in my career.  Without them I wouldn't have the nomination 
and the jobs after.  They privately are very mischievous, they are also 
playing tricks on me and training my emotional quotient.  They are too 
quick on their feet and have meaning behind their words, which made me 
learn a lot."
	DaDa after working with Pang Ho Cheung and Ah Jat became good 
friends.  She said, "The director is handsome and talented, which is what 
the director always forces me to say.  Actually he is talented, very 
friendly and intimate.  He has no arrogance, he is also someone who is 
very demanding."  As for the director's flaw, DaDa said that she did not 
dare to say.  "He has more positive points than flaws, the only ones are 
dirty minded and he is never serious when he talks.  He has been lewd 
with me with words."

Ah Jat Messes With Her
	Always with a trick up his sleeves, Ah Jat was someone who 
DaDa appreciated even more.  "Ah Jat is always helping me.  During the 
shoot when the director yelled at me, he would protect me and make me 
relax.  I am really very touched.  He is humorous and a gentleman.  
Although he is always having fun at my expense, actually he is helping 
me.  When he is making fun of me he is teaching.  The flaw is also his 
dirty mind.  They both admit that.  Actually this is also an advantage.  
They turn these incidents and develop them in movies thoroughly.  Many of 
my male friends like them very much and think they are gods!"
	Chrissie Chau Sau Na dresses less provocatively and successfully 
transitions into the film industry.  DaDa whose foot step somewhat 
resembles Sister Na's said, "Her way is different from me.  There is only 
one Chan Jing, there is only one Chau Sau Na too.  I admire this girl and 
her work ethics, but I don't like to be compared with others."  Ah Jat 
earlier joked that DaDa began to watch what she wore.  She admitted, 
"yes, I want to play more different characters, I don't want to be 
limited to being sexy.  Without saying that I am putting away my chest, I 
am afraid the everyone gets tired and bored from looking at it."  DaDa 
said that earlier when she released her second photo book, she already 
said that it was her final one.  In the short run she would not release 
another.  She even said that even with Ang Lee's team and Tony Leung Chiu 
Wai as a co-star, she still would not play Tang Wei's LUST CAUTION role.  
She said, "Because it already exceeded my bottom line.  I can keep 
backing up more and more.  It is also my promise to my family."
	In addition, when DaDa who rose to fame with Popping Candy 
attended the Osaka Film Festival two days ago she spoke about the Hong 
Kong Film Award Best Supporting Actress nomination.  She said, "I feel

  Sunday 11 March 2012 marks the first anniversary of the tragic Great
  East Japan Earthquake, the most powerful earthquake to have ever struck
  Japan. The earthquake caused immeasurable damage not only to the
  stricken areas, but also to the nation as a whole. In memory of this
  unforgettable day, from midnight onwards for 24 hours people began to
  capture their lives, thoughts, feelings and hopes to be brought
  together in a feature length film produced by Ridley Scott and Tony
  Scott’s Scott Free Productions and Fuji TV. More than 15,000 films were
  shot by contributors and uploaded onto YouTube, generating 300 hours of
  footage from which the filmmakers would carve Japan in a Day.

PRINCESS AND SEVEN KUNG FU MASTERS

[ THE FILM CATALOGUE ]
  During the early years of the Republic era, in the North-East region of
  China, the people are suffering from the power struggle among the local
  Warlords, bandits, and Japanese invaders. Warlord Lam is not a leader of
  great vision, but having a patriotic heart, stands firm in his own
  beliefs, despite the several solicitations and temptations from Japan. 

  The only ‘paradise’ within the region is ‘Lucky Town’, the one place
  where no one dared to attack. Rumors abound that this place is cursed,
  for whenever anyone attempted to invade Lucky Town, they would disappear
  and vanish without a trace. In reality, there are seven kung fu masters
  who have retreated into the shadows and resided here. They are Manysons
  Madonna and Madonhung, the owners of a steamed bread shop Nam Mor Bing,
  the Taoist priest Horny Four, the tailor Little Trumpet, the cosmetic
  salesman and Mamasan Maggie, the brothel owner. Every one of them is a
  master in his own right, keeping Lucky Town in peace. 

  Lam’s daughter, Cheryl is very fond of culinary arts, and often does
  grocery shopping in Lucky Town. She is pretty and lovely and very much
  favoured by the Seven Masters, especially Horny Four who falls for her
  at first sight and regards her as his dream lover. 

  The Japanese secret agent, Kiyoko Kurosawa, allied with traitors from
  the Tiger’s Den: Tiger Hong, Jaguar Hong and Phoenix Hong, to set up a
  secret outpost to send secret-coded messages back to Japan. Young
  patriots, Yan Fang who disguised herself as a man, and Howard Luo,
  infiltrate Tiger’s Den at night, trying to steal the code book. They
  lose the fight to the Hongs, Howard sacrifices himself to save Yan who
  was wounded.

  On the run, Yan is rescued by Cheryl. Mistaking Yan as a man, Cheryl
  falls for Yan. She then brings Yan to Lucky Town and begs the Seven
  Masters to cure Yan. 

  On the other hand, Warlord Lam saves a pretty lady and grows fond of
  her. This lady is actually Kiyoko Kurosawa in disguise. Using Ninjutsu
  skills, Kiyoko seduces Lam and controls his will. She then organises a
  wedding for Lam and herself, in the hope of becoming the warlord’s wife
  so she can control Lam’s army. On the wedding day, Cheryl and the Seven
  Masters arrive in time to ruin her wedding plans. Lam regains his senses
  finally and unites together with the Seven Masters, to fight against
  Kiyoko and the Hongs...
