MISCELLANEOUS * (2013/02/27) The annual Emperor Entertainment New Spring group visit two nights ago took place. Nicholas Tse Ting Fung, Joey Yung Cho Yi, Leo Ku Kui Ke, Twins and Chapman To Man Jat who just finished his solo talk show along with boss Albert Yeung Sau Sing attended. Because they were all busy on their own during the New Spring holiday, they met for the first time two nights ago and wished everyone a Happy New Year. They also took photos with each others but they did not have any prop. They all borrowed laisee from Mr. Yeung for props. When Mr. Yeung took out a stack of shiny gold laisee, they immediately fought of it. After the photos, they did not return to laisee to the boss. Mr. Yeung was very generous and said that the most important in the New Year was for everyone to be happy. Stepping into the Year of the Snake artists all have their new projects. Joey will perform a cross year concert at the end of the year at the Hong Kong Coliseum for the first time. Joey was not only excited but also began the preparation. She planned to take time off and study "dance" overseas. Other artists this year will join film productions, like Ting Fung, Twins, Ah Jat and Gei Jai who rarely participated in film. Ting Fung and Gei Jai had many scripts in their hands. Twins this year will also work separately. Charlene Choi Cheuk Yin will perform in a large scale program in Shanghai, while Gillian Chung Yun Tung will work on her new film in Beijing. The busiest had to be To Man Jat, who thought after his solo talk show could have a few days off to rest but actually already had several movies waiting for him. No wonder he often complained about no holiday. * (2013/02/27) The Stephen Chow Sing Chi directed film JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN) yesterday reportedly had a split between investors like Huayi Brothers, Culture China and Bingo and distributors over profit ratio! As of two days ago JOURNEY after 16 days in Mainland release broke 1 billion yuan RMB, 4 days sooner than the earlier Mainland hit LOST IN THAILAND. * (2013/02/27) The Charlie Yeung Choi Nei directed film CHRISTMAS ROSE (SAN DAN MUI GWAI) invited Tsui Hark and Jacob Cheung Chi Leung to be its producer, Aaron Kwok Fu Sing, Kwai Lun-Mei, Chang Chen and Xia Yu its stars. The trailer yesterday was unveiled in Beijing. The video had no warm moment, instead it displayed passionate conflicts and the actors' explosive performance. Actually Yeung Choi Nei's new film depicts sexual assault. Kwok Fu Sing and Xia Yu said that when they first heard about the subject. They were in pain and even afraid, they also worried about how Yeung Choi Nei would handle it. Once the subject scared them off. Yet after watching the film they felt fortunate that they did not miss out on this film. Sing Sing in the film asked the victim some very embarrassing questions. Xia Yu joked, "Thank you Charlie for sparing me from playing the victim." In the film Chang Chen had to play a doctor who violated Kwai Lun-Mei. Chang Chen at first struggled with taking the role. "I felt Kwok Fu Sing and Xia Yu stole away the good characters. 'Famous doctor commits sexual assault', is this the impression that Charlie has of me?" Chang Chen has always been known for taking his roles seriously. When he made RED CLIFF (CHET BIK) he read THREE KINGDOMS, when he made THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI) he trained until he won a top martial art prize. Yesterday he was asked whether he had to get a medical license to play the dirty doctor well. Kwok Fu Sing joked, "Did you go for the medical license to study how to commit the act?" * (2013/02/27) The film SAVING GENERAL YANG (JUNG LIT YEUNG GA JEUNG) promoted in Taiwan. Vic Chou Yu Man, Wu Chun, Adam Cheng Siu Chau, and Dior Cheng Yi Kin were on hand. In the film Jai Jai played the third Yang son who was silent hunk type. The film began for almost a hour before his first line; in the entire film he had 11 lines like "big brother" and "the enemies are catching up". In the film he displayed his superb equestrian skills. Jai Jai joked that during the shoot he "pushed wave" like professional jockeys and bruised his rear. Jai Jai in the past avoided costumes due to the head gears and wires as well as a lot of martial art action. After this shoot his view was completely changed. Wu Chun as the sixth Yang son was topless already when the film opened. Jai Jai said, "Seeing Wu Chun's and Cheng Yi Kin's muscles on the set, I felt a lot of self pity and maintained a habit of going to the training room." Cheng Yi Kin said that the newlywed life was very pleasant but he has not thought about having a baby yet. He said that he originally played the villain role, but due to Louis Koo Tin Lok's leg injury he over Koo's role instead. Cheng Siu Chau played the father. When asked how he always maintained the "Chor Lau Heung" handsomeness, he joked, "When you lie to yourself about how handsome you are then you would be very handsome!" * (2013/02/27) The Art Development Council organized Art Critics Prize presented the gold prize to Jia Xuanning's critic of Hong Kong film VULGARIA (DAI JOOK HEI KET); Jia Xuanning slammed the film for vilifying Mainlanders and director Pang Ho Cheung's use of garbage culture to successfully entertain the general public. The comments stirred up a lot of response. Star Chapman To Man Jat on facebook congratulated Jia Xuanning on the award and urged everyone to stop blasting "Ms. Jia". He said, "Like Mona Lisa's Smile, happy people may see that she is smiling at you. People with self pity may feel that she is laughing at you......" He pointed out that the government presented the award to her in order to encourage struggle session. Since someone was displeased with VULGARIA, he suggested a return engagement at the movies to see if anyone would support such a vulgar movie. VULGARIA director Pang Ho Cheung online said that before the film was made, in order to convince the boss to invest in a movie that would give up on the 1.3 billion market he only took 1/3 of his salary. He said, "You think vulgarity is garbage; I feel suppressing vulgarity is the slippery slope of stripping freedom of speech and creativity. Indeed, I am just a wise ass; many with great intelligence are busy focusing on co-production films in the North." He stressed that he was not opposing co-production, but he objected to Hong Kong only having co-productions. Pang Ho Cheung's statement won a lot of online cheer. Raymond Wong Pak Ming supported VULGARIA and thought it was entertainment and very funny. He did not feel the film deepened the China Hong Kong conflict and discriminated against Mainlanders. He said that Pang Ho Cheung made a movie that was blatantly vulgar for Hong Kongers, which did not mean that all Hong Kongers were vulgar. He also said that the film was purely entertainment to make people laugh. As for China Hong Kong co-productions they helped Hong Kong film and at the same time explored the Mainland film market. They were win-win situations. * (2013/02/27) Leon Lai Ming yesterday attended the 9th Hong Kong Entertainment Expo press conference. Speaking of online encouragement for him to reunite with Shu Qi, Lai Ming said that he would leave everyone with their own ideal picture. Whether he would remain single it would depend on fate. Currently work came first. As for VULGARIA being called cultural garbage that led to China and Hong Kong conflict, Lai Ming gave another golden quote, "You get 50,000 after slamming someone? Why wasn't I told sooner, I would've donated the 50,000 to the Community Chest. Everyone is posting online, when the timing is right not getting slammed would be better a little. You can't avoid that. Ultimately I firmly believe in my own beliefs, I haven't swindle viewers, cross colleagues and go against my conscience so I am OK." Director Ang Lee at the Oscars thanked the Taiwan government for assisting the film industry. Did he feel the Hong Kong government has provided enough assistance to the film industry? Lai Ming said that he would not ask the government, good movies naturally would have investors. The resources should be placed with the class that is powerless to protest. * (2013/02/26) September last year, the news of Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Japanese artist Atsuko Maeda had a chance to work together on the China Japan co-production 1905. Due to the tension between China and Japan over the Diaoyu island sovereignty, the anti-Japanese sentiment ran high in Chin and Wai Jai was blasted online and demanded to turn down the film. At the time Wai Jai's management company said that he has not signed any contract. His wife Carina Lau Ka Ling also pointed out that Wai Jai will indefinitely postponed the film. Yesterday the film's Japanese production company announced its bankruptcy. The production company Prenom-H on the 20th filed for bankruptcy at the Tokyo District Court. The company's current debt was around 640 million yen. Prenom-H last year decided to make 1905 and invited Leung Chiu Wai and Atsuko Maeda to perform. It planned to build large scale exterior sets in Taiwan and Japan and an Autumn nationwide release in Japan. With the unexpected China and Japan relation deterioration, Leung Chiu Wai was rumored to have backed out and the production progress came to a halt, the company announced its bankruptcy. * (2013/02/26) The Stephen Chow Sing Chi directed JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN) opened on February 10 Lunar New Year in Mainland nationwide. After 15 days it already exceeded 1 billion RMB at the box office. JOURNEY even broke many new records, including three weeks of consecutive single day box office champion, the fastest to reach 1 billion and the highest grossing Chinese film in a single month. With its strong momentum, it will be able to break LOST IN THAILAND's 1.2 billion yuan box office in days and even have hope to exceed AVATAR's almost 1.4 million yuan box office. In Hong Kong and Macau it already has reached HK$28 million at the box office. Sing Yeh thanked viewers for their support with nonstop audience appreciation visits in Nanjing, Shenyang, Chongqing and Shenzhen. Two days ago he even visited five cinemas in Shenzhen. Since it was the Lantern Festival, a viewer asked if Sing Yeh still loved Athena Chu Yun? Sing Yeh actually screamed, "I love Shu Qi!" The entire audience applauded and laughed. Viewers cared about Sing Yeh's love life and even longed for Sing Yeh to perform again. Sing Yeh revealed that it was being planned. He said, "You have to be patient, I will try to be as fast as I can." He would not eliminate a sequel for JOURNEY about how Sun Wukong headed for good while on the journey for scriptures. He might personally play the lead role. * (2013/02/26) Stephen Fung Tak Lun and Shu Qi's rumor has always caught attention, they have even been rumored to be secretly married. Fung Tak Lun yesterday attended a "HBO GO" press conference and continued to deny the rumor as usual. "No such thing! We were rumored to go on a holiday together? We didn't either. I rarely share my love life, since I don't want to mention dating. Even in the future when I wed I might not publicize it, but right now I am really not." He said that life was happy now. During the Lunar New Year he took time and met up with friends. Speaking of Shu Qi's new film JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN), Fung Tak Lun praised it as fully entertaining. The film's director Stephen Chow Sing Chi seemed to be very fond of Shu Qi. He calmly replied, "Many people would be 'sweet' on her. Do I feel threatened by Chow Sing Chi? Some of it is film promotional technique, providing a point for everyone to write about. I too am in the film industry, so I understand it very well." As for some of the film being accused of copying from a Japanese video game, he said, "I am not certain whether it was plagiarism, but sometimes the process would be under the influence of other external elements. That's not surprising." Fung Tak Lun revealed that he is discussing a project with Hollywood. In the middle of next year he will begin his new film in Beijing. In the future his subjects will target the world market. * (2013/02/26) Director Lee Lik Chi yesterday was an instructor of ATV performing art training project. He said that he remembered where he came from. Because ATV made a low offer to him, he only took symbolic transportation cost. He said, "It's still the Lunar New Year, whatever!" Lee Lik Chi said that he would share his experience with Stephen Chow Sing Chi, but he criticized his Lunar New Year film JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN). He said, "Next time he has difficulty with dialogue, he could ask me and Tin Kai Man. The movie only has '300 Children's Songs' as a classic line. THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI) had several classic lines. He has many talented people and brain trusts around him, he didn't even ask someone to think about the dialogue. He shouldn't overlook Hong Kong because he became a political consultant." He felt that JOURNEY in comparison to other class a movies was considered great, but for a Chow Sing Chi movie it was disappointing." * (2013/02/25) Director Fruit Chan yesterday took advantage of the marathon to shoot the empty streets. Film porducer Chin Siu Wai yesterday posted a photo of the police stopping Chan Gor and wrote, "This morning while others are running the marathon, director Chan Gor took the chance to shoot the empty Hong Kong streets where road blocks were. Uncle police, please let him go, he is just a super passionate film worker." * (2013/02/25) The 2013 Miss Chinese International pageant took place last night. Vancouver representative Gloria Tang Pui Yi won as the favorite. The first runner on was the Kuala Lumpur representative Denise Tan (Chan Chor Won). Hong Kong representative Carat Cheung Ming Nga showed off her career line, danced a belly dance and even publicly expressed her love to Kenneth Ma Kwok Ming but only came in third. Toronto representative Jessica Song (Sung Sum Wai) won the Star of Tomorrow award, while Miss Friendship went to Los Angeles representative Lauren Weinberger (Chow Wai Lun). During the swimsuit answer and question segment, host Eric Tsang Chi Wai asked Cheung Ming Nga about her love experience. At first she revealed that she was not dating now and was focused on her career, but she suddenly looked at judge "hot property" Kenneth Ma Kwok Ming and sweetly publicly expressed her love for him. "Mr. Ma Kwok Ming is very attractive to me" Ma Kwok Ming was both stunned and embarrassed. Ma Kwok Ming said, "Everyone is just speaking out of courtesy! Cheung Ming Nga expressed her love? It's not that, don't scare Miss Cheung." * (2013/02/25) Aaron Kwok Fu Sing yesterday attended his new music video premiere, paid a group Lunar New Year vision with his March concert team and performed in advance his "Bull Demon King causes havoc in the Heavenly Palace" dance number. Yesterday was the Lantern Festival. Sing Sing after work returned home to visit his mother. "I miss Mommy the most." Was he not celebrating with his other half? Sing Sing said, "Let love take its natural course, work comes first, Mother is the most important! Today is a special day, I want to be united with Mama." A fortune teller predicted that Sing Sing may have good news this year. He said, "In this business the more popularity the better, I hope everyone would support my movies and ads. (Lynn Xiong) Hung Doi Lam wants to get married? Everyone has his or her own idea, I can't comment. For now work comes first." His concert has added a 9th show, will he add a "perfect 10"? Sing Sing said, "I don't know, but a 9 show performance was already satisfactory. The concert's Transformer stage and the bouncing segments will add new ideas, at the same time COLD WAR (HONG JIN), THE MONKEY KING (DAI LAU TIN GUNG) will be mixed as elements of land, air and sea onto the stage. The ocean segment was very sexy but I did not know whether the costumes would coordinate because art director (William) Chang Suk Ping's thinking could change at anytime." Chow Yun Fat has been rumored to be a part of COLD WAR 2. Sing Sing said, "I read the news online, secretly I learned that Fat Gor saw COLD WAR and praised me. I in THE MONKEY KING had scenes with Fat Gor who played the Jade Emperor, I haven't had enough. I hope to have a chance to battle him in drama. I can only say, Fat Gor, I am waiting for you!" As for not being nominated for Best Actor with COLD WAR, Sing Sing admitted that he was disappointed but respected the jury decision. "When I make movies I want to be encouraged the most, it doesn't matter that the Hong Kong Film Award jury doesn't encourage me. The most important is to have the encouragement of everyone, fans, and Fat Gor!" * (2013/02/25) The Stephen Chow Sing Chi directed JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN)'s Mainland box office has already exceeded 800 million RMB and placed second in Chinese film behind only LOST IN THAILAND. Sing Yeh earlier promoted in Chongqing. Speaking of the film being accused of copying from the Japanese video game ASURA'S WRATH, he did not directly respond but only admitted that the film had flaws. "Each film has its flaws, mine is no exception. I can only do my best to make it the best, using the next one to make up for the lack of the previous one." Sing Yeh said that JOURNEY included entertainment, comedy, and deep meaning of good and evil. As for the terrifying scenes that frightened children in the film, he said, "I didn't think of it before, but now that everyone is saying that I thought of it now. Horror film will be my road from now on." he felt that comedy could also have horror and romantic elements. Sing Yeh and Culture China Media's JOURNEY TO THE WEST film city in Tongxiang Wuzhen international tourism area will cost over 2 billion yuan. Sing Yeh will occupy 25% of ownership. * (2013/02/24) Donnie Yen Chi tan recently has been busy with his film THE ICEMAN COMETH (3D BING FUNG HUP) two nights ago shot a fight scene in Sheung Wan. Wang Baoqiang and a Mainland actor were running all over town with a dirty magazine and even stuck a cop into a gutter. In another shoot they pointed guns at each other. Although Chi Tan was not acting, he was very intense about every detail. After every shot he would discuss it with director Law Wing Cheong and Stephen Shiu Jr. * (2013/02/24) The Lunar New Year film HOTEL DELUXE (BAK SING JAU DIM) already accumulated HK$16 million at the box office and defeated the Eric Tsang Chi Wai and TVB artists starred I LOVE HONG KONG 2013 (2013 NGOR OI HK GUNG HEI FAT CHOI). Yesterday Raymond Wong Pak Ming and Sandra Ng Kwan Yu attended an audience appreciation event. Wong Pak Ming was satisfied with the HOTEL box office because it was already better than last year's Lunar New Year film. It has been predicted to make HK$20 million. Tsang Chi Wai revealed that next year he might not make a Lunar New Year film reportedly because there was no profit. Wong Pak Ming said, "Then he should come over and help me! I have made years of Lunar New Year films that have made money. HOTEL in the Mainland made 60 million RMB and in Malaysia 6 million RM, and it is still in release." Will he arrange for his company's actress Karena Ng Chin Yu and her boyfriend Raymond Lam Fung to make another movie? Wong Pak Ming said that if the script was suitable, he would not eliminate this possibilities; he felt that since both were single, dating was very normal. Work came first for Ng Chin Yu and she was able to keep work and personal life separate, dating would not affect her work. Chapman To Man Jat two nights ago at his stand up comedy show revealed that before getting into the business he was a waiter and he saw Ng Kwan Yu and Alex To Tak Wai at a romantic dinner. She joked, "Does he want to be at odds with me another time? I will break a bottle over his head! Does he want to step on me to prop himself up, so he is digging at old wounds? He has persecutory delusion disorder." Kwan Yu pointed out that To Man Jat only said something superficial. She joked that if he again exposed things about her, she would either take a bribe from him or sue him for slander. * (2013/02/24) Donnie Yen Chi Tan yesterday attended a vision protection creative contest award ceremony as a vision ambassador. Because of his performance in the film JUNG GIK DAI MA (ULTIMATE DECODING) Mainland director Geng Weiguo blasted him. Yen Chi Tan recently filed a lawsuit in the Mainland for a written apology from Geng Weiguo and 5 million RMB in compensation. Yen Chi Tan said that the legal process has begun so he did not want to make any comment. Was it because his reputation has been affected? He said, "It's something that I should do, I never talk much about this. I only take action when it exceeds my bottom line." He did not know when the case will be heard. Because he left the case with his lawyers he would not need to appear in court. Yen Chi Tan pointed out that his and his children's vision was poor. He had 600 degree myopia and astigmatism, 10 years ago he had laser vision correction surgery but now it has deteriorated a little; his children might have inherited their parents' myopia and already had 300 to 400 degree myopia at such young ages. Thus he felt being the ambassador to talk about vision protection with everyone was very meaningful. Yen Chi Tan would not take away his children's video game and television entertainment to keep their vision from getting worse. He would rather attend more outdoor activities and come in contact with nature with them. * (2013/02/23) Donnie Yen Chi Tan due to the film ULTIMATE DECODING (JUNG GIK GAI MA) earlier received criticism from young Mainland director Geng Weiguo who organized a press conference "for the media to truly meet Yen Chi Tan who can randomly fire producers, actors, directors, investors and projects" and "the tragic experience of young Mainland director who is persecuted under Yen Chi Tan's power, leaving him bankrupted and shattering his film dream overnight". Chi Tan recently filed a lawsuit in the Mainland, feeling that Geng Weiguo's statements were untrue and fabricated false facts that created a heinous and dark character and severely damaged his reputation. Thus he asked the court to order a written apology from Geng Weiguo and 5 million yuan RMB in compensation. Chi Tan's spokesperson yesterday had no comment. * (2013/02/23) Two nights ago Kate Tsui Tsz Shan, Michael Tse Tin Wa, Koni Lui Wai Yi attended an audience appreciation event for their film I LOVE HONG KONG 2013 (2013 NGOR OI HK GUNG HEI FAT CHOI) in Kwun Tong. Tsui Tsz Shan said, "Finally I have a chance to participate in audience appreciation. Because right now I am busy with a new series, I have been working less shopping center shows and my income has drastically been reduced. I am even afraid that advertisers would gradually forget about me. Now I have to announce in advance that at the end of March I have time, otherwise in April I have another new series." Speaking of TVB urging its artists not to attend a certain magazine's award show due to its reports and advertising against the company, Tsui Tsz Shan said, "I haven't received any notice, I don't know about the details. I would respect the company's arrangement and decision." Tse Tin Wa two days ago already received TVB's text message. He felt that he had to respect the company's decision and even revealed that the content was hoping that nominated artists would not attend the event. He believed that every contract artists already received the text message. Lui Wai Yi said that she did not spend Valentine's Day with her husband. She also had no date for the Lantern Festival because she would have to judge the Miss Chinese International Pageant. Her husband would have to watch television to spend the occasion with her. * (2013/02/23) The Stephen Chow Sing Chi directed JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMONS has been a Mainland hit as it would soon reach 800 million RMB. Two nights ago he brought actors Chen Bingqiang and Yang Di to Nanjing for audience appreciation. Some felt that the Show Luo (Law Chi Cheung) played character "Lonely Gentleman" was dispensable and even criticized his performance as poor, Sing Yeh explained for Piggy, "I feel the character of Lonely Gentleman is very romantic. He is lonely! I am very lonely too! I am Lonely Gentleman too! One kind of ultimate master is like Lonely Gentleman. On the surface he doesn't look like much, but actually he is just keeping his abilities hidden. Piggy gives me this impression. I feel he is very suitable to play Lonely Gentleman." * (2013/02/22) The Stephen Chow Sing Chi film JOURNEY TO THE WEST: CONQUERING THE DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN) has the potential to reach 1 billion RMB in the Mainland box office. Someone online revealed that Sing Yeh's creation was a counterfeit of the Japanese video game ASURA'S WRATH. The other director who was rumored to be at odds with Sing Yeh during the shoot, Derek Kwok Chi Kin two days ago admitted that during the shoot he checked out the video game for research. When Chow Sing Chi first started the production, he invited the Hong Kong Film Award Best Picture GALLANTS (DA LUI TOI) director Kwok Chi Kin to co-direct JOURNEY. The film as of two days ago reached 810 million RMB in the Mainland box office and HK$23.9 million in the Hong Kong box office, but the final battle in JOURNEY between Sun Wukong and Buddha conceptually and cinematically has been accused of counterfeiting the Japanese video game ASURA'S WRATH. The scene was 80% similar to the game, the difference was one used a palm and the other a finger. Sun Wukong's wrathful expression, fist clinching and floor stomping were identical to the video game. Sing Yeh two days ago through a friend replied, "The special effect company is completely in charge of the special effects, all the ideas came from the special effect company. Ask the special effect company for details." However, Kwok Chi Kin two days ago said, "We looked at ASURA'S WRATH, Sing Yeh and I both like animation. The focus is how we digest it. As long as the result is OK it's fine." Sing Yeh and Kwok Chi Kin's testimonies are obviously different. Stephen Shiu blasted Sing Yeh last Friday online. "He fired Kwok Chi Kin halfway, any camera angle that he planned, any acting were all changed. He left Kwok Chi Sin without any room to stand on." Kwok Chi Kin said, "During the promotion I was working on another film, we are fine." He said that he did not know about Stephen Shiu's blast. "How would he know what happened on our set, he didn't visit the set." Kwok Chi Kin praised Sing Yeh's mild temper. "He is much more mild mannered, high emotional quotient. Instead I would have a temper and yell at him." Sing Yeh's former partner Lee Lik Chi two days ago said, "Sing Yeh's peak was CJ7 (CHEUNG GONG CHUT HO), he had expression when he had no expression. Yet this JOURNEY is worse than VULGARIA (DAI JOOK HEI KET). There was no reason for him to be unable to come up with one or two classic lines. This time the movie had no spot for applause. The children song part made me want to go to the bathroom." He pointed out that even if Sing Yeh duplicated ASURA'S WRATH he still put an effort into special effect. * (2013/02/22) Joyce Cheng Yun Yi earlier promoted the Lunar New Year film I LOVE HONG KONG 2013 (2013 NGOR OI HK GUNG HEI FAT CHOI) in Malaysia with Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Michael Tse Tin Wa and Jerry Koo Ming Wa. She immediately performed the funny "wonton eating" scene from the film and received enthusiastic applause from fans. Joyce said about her first overseas promotion, "Brother Chi Wai took great care of us, the fans were very enthusiastic. Before the end a female fan rushed the stage for a photo with me." Joyce tried local Lunar New Year food "Lo Sang" and had a lot of fun. "I mixed it four times, this year I definitely will be very rich!" In addition, it was her assistant's birthday. Joyce attentively arranged for a surprise party and added color to the trip. * (2013/02/22) Producer Wilson Chin Kwok Wai's girlfriend Calinda Chan Yuen Wai guest starred in the Lunar New Year film I LOVE HONG KONG 2013 (2013 NGOR OI HK GUNG HEI FAT CHOI) as female lead Kate Tsui Tsz Shan's cousin. She thanked director Chung Shu Kai for casting her and was the happiest about running into her idol Veronica Yip Yuk Hing. Chan Yuen Wai said, "When I learned Sister Hing had a part I immediately visited the set. My artist training class graduation performance was an impersonation of her performance. I didn't expect Sister Hing to know who I am. She said that she read about me." As for working with "alternative goddess" Lo Fun, Chan Yuen Wai said, "The first time I worked with her I thought she was very dominating, I have never seen such a mean co-star! However she actually is very nice, she even bought me a drink." * (2013/02/22) Jackie Chan promoted his film CZ12 (SUP YI SUN CHIU) in Korea. A fan handed him a pirated video for him to autograph, which broke his heart. He said, "While promoting CZ12 in Korea, a fan asked me to autograph a video. I said that the official one isn't out yet, this is pirated. When he found out he immediately threw away the video. Sigh, every time I see counterfeits I would be very heartbroken because I don't want viewers to watch anything that is roughly produced and illegal. Here again I urge everyone to boycott piracy. In the official video I will add over ten minutes of unreleased footage, like scenes that were left on the cutting room floor and my fight scene with Kwon Sang-Woo and a French fighter. They are great. In addition it will also have a lot of behind the scene secrets, like the 8 locations on 5 continents, special effect scene production trilogy process, comparison with the initial set designs to actual constructions. The high quality edition is worthy of viewers' collection! Thank you everyone!" In addition, Big Brother's Korean management company revealed that Big Brother is forming a Korean and Mainland idol group called "Double JC". * (2013/02/22) This year will be the 10th anniversary of Leslie Cheung Kwok Wing's passing. Former manager Chan Suk Fun yesterday announced a series of memorial events. The memorial concerts will take place on March 31 and April 1 at the Hong Kong Coliseum, advanced tickets were almost sold out. She thanked Jacky Cheung Hok Yau for assisting with the concert rundown design, with no less than 10 artists to perform. However the performers are being confidential for now. Chan Suk Fun said, "A superstar who can singer called and said that he would be willing t do anything." Some guessed that the superstar was Tony Leung Chiu Wai. Cheung Kwok Wing's partner Donald Tong Hok Tak wrote and provided 3 life photos with Gor Gor for the memorial photo book and note book. Famous photographer Wing Shya (Ha Wing Hong) provided some previously unpublished photos to the photo book. Limited edition 12 inch figures, tee shirts, bags, pins and coffee cups will be released as well. From March 28 to May 1 a memorial exhibit will be held at the Causeway Times Square. Gor Gor's awards and costumes will be on display. Fans from everywhere have started an origami crane blessing event for the Guinness World Record. * (2013/02/22) Michael Hui Koon Man will perform two additional comedy shows to raise fund for the charity organization Project Vision and even invite vision impaired guests to attend. Hui Koon Man yesterday attended the press conference and said that he would add human voice effects to attract vision impaired attendees. He also revealed that he had a cataract surgery and successfully corrected his vision. "Actually I don't have to wear glasses again, but my wife says I would be much uglier without them. She is afraid that others wouldn't recognize me, so I keep wearing glasses." Hui Koon Man might discuss current affairs. "I feel the best part of last year's show was the Chief Executive debate, but I will just be funny. I won't hurt anyone, even if Chief Executive Leung Chun Ying and Henry Tang Ying Yen are in the audience I should have no problem." Speaking of this year's Lunar New Year, Hui Koon Man only watched the Stephen Chow Sing Chi directed JOURNEY TO THE WEST (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN). He praised Sing Yeh's outstanding direction. Next year he might direct a Lunar New Year film. Although he has been writing scripts, so far no story has excited him enough to make a movie with. * (2013/02/22) Bob Lam Sing Bun recently worked on the film HARDCORE COMEDY (CHUNG HAU MEI). Two nights ago he put on a tiny tank top, red skirt, knee high socks and a blond wig for a belly showing "angel" look. "HARDCORE COMEDY is a really hardcore movie! Everyone, I know you really want to kill me, thinking like this is very normal. Actually after I put on the costume and make up, when I look at the mirror I thought I might as well just die!" * (2013/02/22) Anthony Wong Chau Sun earlier started a word of wars with Show Luo (Law Chi Cheung)'s fans over his comment "I don't know who Law Chi Cheung is". Yesterday his film IP MAN THE FINAL FIGHT (IP MAN JUNG GIK YUT JIN) was announced as the opening film at the 37th Hong Kong International Film Festival press conference. When he spoke about his buddy Shawn Yue Man Lok's rumor of dating Kary Ng Yu Fei, Chau Sun said, "Who is Ng Yu Fei?" When told Kary is a Hong Kong female singer, he said, "I don't watch television, read newspaper, magazine, I don't listen to music, when I do I listen to Mozart and Tschaikovsky!" He also said that with Lok Jai men would not talk about their love lives. Named the film festival ambassador, Miriam Yeung Chin Wa said about her LOVE IN THE BUFF (CHUN GIU YU JI MING) co-star "Jimmy" Lok Jai's new romantic rumor, "I don't know, I don't know if he is afraid of pettiness like when I was pregnant, so for now he hasn't said anything. Earlier when we had dinner he even asked if I had any girl to introduce to him. If it is true I would congratulate him, he and Kary make a good match. The Kary I know has a good personality and is very cute." Chin Wa joked that in April when she will participate in the Hong Kong Film Award presentation, Lok Jai who might have found his "Cherie" in reality might not be willing to walk the red carpet with her. Chau Sun's performance resembled Ip Man. When asked during the promotion if he would show off his kung fu, Chau Sun said, "I would demonstrate one inch punch or really 'inch'." He felt that the film was different from other films about Ip Man and Wing Chun, so comparison was difficult. However, next year at the Hong Kong Film Awards he, Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Donnie Yen Chi Tan might compete for Best Actor with Ip man. Chau Sun said, "I am not afraid of competition." The film festival selected director Andrew Lau Wai Keung to be the filmmaker in focus and 300 films from around the world, including the Ronny Yu Yun Tai directed, Dior Cheng Yi Kin starred SAVING GENERAL YANG (JUNG LIT YEUNG GA JEUNG), the Johnnie To Kei Fung directed, Louis Koo Tin Lok starred DRUG WAR (DUK JIN) and the Richie Jen (Yam Yin Chai) and Mavis Fan Hiu Huen starred WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW? * (2013/02/22) Sandra Ng Kwan Yu yesterday promoted her film PRINCESS AND SEVEN KUNG FU MASTERS (SIU GUNG JUN MO LUM) on Metro Radio with Wong Jing. Kwan Yu revealed that because her daughter is almost 7, she realized that her child has gradually entered the rebellious phase. Thus when she made movies she still needed to accommodate her schedule of taking care daughters and pay more attention to her. She said that she and Peter Chan Ho Sun would often argue over their daughter. Because Chan Ho Sun talked about being strict but actually was not, she often had to be tough; however, their daughter also cheered them up and they immediately forgot about arguing. Shawn Yue Man Lok was rumored to have visited her home in the Lunar New Year with Kary Ng Yu Fei. Kwan Yu said with reservation, "I don't know, don't ask me. I saw Lok Jai and saw other people too. If it is true, I would wish them well." * (2013/02/21) With over 36 years in the film industry, Simon Yam Tat Wa years ago missed co-directing BOARDING GATE with Maggie Cheung Man Yuk's former husband Olivier Assayas because he was working on a Johnnie To Kei Fung film. However he recently has been rumored to work with Fruit Chan Gor and Lawrence Ah Mon (Lau Kwok Cheung) on a a ghost film. They each would be responsible for a 30 minute story like THREE (SAM GAN). Reportedly Brother Wa will be responsible for the part that was partially adapted from novelist Lillian Lee Bik Wa's script. The "virgin" inevitably was nervous. Just returning from work in Korea he has been busy with meetings with the team to prepare for the shoot. Coincidentally, earlier Nick Cheung Ka Fai admitted that later he will direct a ghost film. In support of local production, he was even willing to reduce his salary. However the project will not have further news until the middle of the next month at the soonest. Brother Wa successfully cut the line as his film is tentatively scheduled to start on the 28th. No casting decision has been made yet. Brother Wa was asked about the story. "I really can't talk about it yet. (Who will be the lead actress?) It may not have one. With elementary school graduation work like mine, if I make myself look bad it's not important. There is no point to mess with pretty girls. (Will you reduce salary in support of local production?) No, I will act, director and be the third photographer, I am no different from a chore boy. Of course I have to get more of a raise." Wa Jai stated that this was the first time he was willing to be a "chore boy" mainly because the ghost film subject was attractive. He also hoped to promote the Hong Kong emotion after ECHOES OF THE RAINBOW (SHUI YUET SUN TAU). * (2013/02/21) The Stephen Chow Sing Chi directed JOURNEY TO THE WEST CONQUERING THE DEMONS (SAI YAU GONG MOR PIN) after 9 days in release in the Mainland made over 700 million RMB and broke 14 box office records that included TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON's highest single day box office record and LOST IN THAILAND's fastest Chinese film to reach 700 million. Industry insiders estimated that JOURNEY will reach 1 billion this weekend. Chow Sing Chi thanked the audience for its support. "I also have to thank Shu Qi, Wen Zhang, Huang Bo, Law Chi Cheung (Show Luo) and all the actors for their exciting performance." JOURNEY also proved that creativity and energy from Hong Kong film brought proud to Hong Kong filmmakers. Shu Qi's performance in the film received praises. She would like to work with Chow Sing Chi again. "He is an unique genius, a man with his own style." * (2013/02/21) Wong Cho Nam with Ronald Cheng Chung Kei, Sandra Ng Kwan Yu and others starred in the new film PRINCESS AND SEVEN KUNG FU MASTERS (SIU GUNG CHUN MO LUM). Cho Nam in the film turns into a little tailor with kung fu. However in reality he does not know kung fu, thus during the shoot he often has bad takes. "In the film (Sammo) Hung Kam Bo, Yuen Wah and others are all kung fu masters, even (Eric) Tsang Chi Wai was once the stuntman association chair. So I often have bad takes with my co-stars!" Rose Chan Ka Wun in the film has to don a male disguise. At the time she is injured and received treatment from Cheng Chung Kei and Yuen Wah to save her. They even touch her near her chest. Chan Ka Wun jokes that during the shoot they keep trying to make her laugh, in front of the camera she has to hold back her laughter and pretend to be hurt. * (2013/02/21) Cheuk Wan Chi yesterday attended the Independent Film and Visual media in Asia press conference. She will serve a the independent short film competition youth division judge. Speaking of her upcoming new film BAU SAM CHIU GIU WA (BLAST THREE ANGELS), Cheuk Wan Chi said, "Chrissie Chau Sau Na in the film played a kung fu girl. I would like her to be a little more muscular because she is too thin now. I don't know if it's due to heartache. We are both girls, when I saw her my heart aches too." Would she introduce any "hot property" to Chau Sau Na? Cheuk Wan Chi joked, "The film industry has many hot property. This time the production team has many. She can find her own." Directing an action film for the first time, Cheuk Wan Chi wrote a silly character for her. "I would ask pseudo models and DJs to perform. Because of the numerous pseudo models, half a hour of the meeting was spent on identifying them." * (2013/02/21) Joyce Cheng Yun Yi earlier promoted her Lunar New Year film I LOVE HONG KONG 2013 (2013 NGOR OI HK GUNG HEI FAT CHOI) with Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Michael Tse Tin and Jerry Koo Ming Wa in Malaysia. She visited many cinemas with the team and at each one tried the traditional Lunar New Year good luck food "Lo Sang" to wish for stardom and riches in the new year; she even demonstrated her wonton eating skills and had viewers laughing until their bellies hurt. Two days ago was the 5th anniversary of Fei Jeh Lydia Shum Din Ha's passing. Yun Yi actually created in secret "Fei Jeh cookie" at home. At night she met Fei Jeh's friends for dinner and gave them the dessert. Everyone praised how thoughtful she was. [ BLAH OF THE WEEK ] Columns, Reviews, Interviews . APPLE DAILY, FEBRUARY 24 2013, SOMETHING TO SAY WILLIAM CHANG: ONLY THE BEST In the film THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI) Tony Leung Chiu Wai said, "the words kung fu, one is horizontal the other vertical. Only being able to stand up again is right." The art director on many Wong Kar Wai films and THE GRANDMASTERS editor as well, William Chang Suk Ping pointed out that although the Chinese characters for art were both one vertical and one horizontal, they absolutely no right or wrong. To perform well, the most important was for it to come from the heart. Your own determination should not be affected at all due to outside influence. Speaking of being considered the best partners with Wong Kar Wai, he admitted that they were full of chemistry. Often before Wong Kar Wai opened his mouth he already knew what he was thinking. This was also the reason that they have been friends for so many years. - Man Kwok Chun Chang Suk Ping, who everyone "called" Uncle, earlier promoted the Wong Kar Wai directed THE GRANDMASTERS at the Berlin Film Festival and spoke about his film dream. Uncle has been in the business for years and won numerous Hong Kong Film Award and Taiwan Golden Horse Award for Art Direction, even with IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE (FA YEUNG NIN WA) he won the Cannes Film Festival artistic achievement award. Yet he has been low key and rarely accepted interviews. Outsiders even claimed that he did not speak much and was full of artist temperament. Yet on the day of his interview he was in good humor and talkative. Obviously to learn about how someone is, you cannot rely simply on hearsay. You have to experience him or her in person. Uncle's artistic achievement might be high, but he dressed very causally. He joked, "I am tired of seeing all the clothes from finding costumes for movies, don't ask me to go shopping. All my clothes have to be is comfortable." Uncle revealed that he was relaxed in Berlin, when he had time he would look for inspiration all over. When did Uncle come in contact with film for the first time? He took a drag and seriously thought about it before saying, "I think it was when I was around 14. After I saw a movie called THE GRADUATE (classic American film that starred Dustin Hoffman), when I got home I felt very uncomfortable. A week later I went to watch it again and I finally realized why I was uncomfortable. Actually I was missing the movie. Because THE GRADUATE storytelling was very different, I was very attracted to it. At that time I truly fell in love with film. I would always watch movies from different nations and decided to make film my career." Confident About Overnight Success Uncle revealed that later he was the assistant director for several movies and thought about studying film overseas. "Actually I felt I didn't have the need because after you worked on a movie you would understand the process. However I only liked the film studying environment. At first my Papa was reluctant but finally he sent me to study in Canada for three years." Uncle has a thought about studying film. He felt that the theories that came from school were not too useless, but every theory could be disproved. "I feel actually there is no such thing as theory. You can start telling a story at any point with a film, the most important is how entertaining it is when it is done." Three years later Uncle did not have a smooth sailing upon his return. In the first two years he could not find work about film. By the third year his chance finally came. Director Tam Ka Ming asked him for art design for the Brigitte Lin (Lam Ching Ha) starred LOVE MASSACRE (OI SAT). Uncle admitted that at the time he was full of confidence. "I don't know why that time I was very confident, I wasn't scared at all. The color contrast was even especially exaggerated." Since then Uncle's artistic style received good reviews. Wong Kar Wai even starting with AS TEARS GO BY (WONG GOK KAR MOON) has become inseparable collaboration partners with Uncle as their best partnership gradually took shape. Uncle said, "Before Wong Kar Wai and I worked together on AS TEARS GO BY, we were already good friends for seven years. Basically every month we would meet several time to talk about movies and drink, one day he told me that he wanted to make a movie and work with me. I said OK and we have been working together until now." As for how working with Wong Kar Wai for years felt, he admitted that he was a very smart and stable person. Uncle said, "Wong Kar Wai and I already have an invisible chemistry. Sometimes before he even spoke I already knew what he wanted, so when sometimes he didn't have enough or any time to edit he would ask me to help." Ignoring Criticism Speaking of editing, the outside always pointed out how much Chang Chen's role in THE GRANDMASTERS was cut and became the sacrifice of film length. As the film's editor Chang Suk Ping also made a special explanation. "You can't say that, Chang Chen's role was around there. It wasn't too different, only the fight scene with Leung Chiu Wai was cut." Uncle has won countless film art awards over the years. Did he feel numb? He admitted, "I wouldn't be numb, no matter what, an award is a great encouragement." As for art direction, in directors few award winning and rising new comers have appeared. Would he begin to cultivate a new generation of art directors? Uncle said, "I would use some new comers as assistants but I wouldn't say I am teaching them. It depends on how much they learn. To perform well the most important is for you to truly like your work and to ignore what others think as long as you are doing something you like. I have always been like this, I never cared about other things." Uncle has always been rumored to be rather explosive on the set. He admitted, "Yes! Anyone would want to work with someone who would understand with just one order. It's very normal, but in recent years I have paid attention to this area and I have less of a temper!" Iron Triangle Chang Suk Ping who everyone calls Uncle is a famous Hong Kong art director and fashion designer. In 1989 he worked with Wong Kar Wai for the first time on AS TEARS GO BY. Since then, Uncle became Wong Kar Wai's official art director. They along with famous cinematographer Christopher Doyle (To Ho Fung) are known as the "iron triangle". Uncle in ASHES OF TIME (DUNG CHE SAI DUK) was also the editor. His Chinese dress designs are particularly outstanding, like IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE (FA YEUNG NIN WA)'s Maggie Cheung Man Yuk and 2046's Zhang Ziyi. They have also brought him international film awards, including IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE that won the Cannes Film Festival Best Artistic Achievement award. 2. APPLE DAILY, FEBRUARY 23 2013, ELECTRIC FILM ROAD THE JOURNEY TO THE GRANDMASTERS FOR TONY LEUNG CHIU WAI'S MASTER In recent years the relationship between film and Wing Chun has become inseparable. When talking about the film THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI) one can very directly make the connection to key figures like Ip Man, Bruce Lee, Wong Kar Wai and Tony Leung Chiu Wai, another figure of origin actually connected film and Wing Chun as early as the 60s. He was the Grand Master Ip Man's personal disciple who taught Wai Jai Wing Chun several years ago, Master Duncan Leung Siu Hung. - Ma Kin Wa Speaking of the film THE GRANDMASTERS, Master Leung Siu Hung praised director Wong Kar Wai for his effort and enthusiasm. He has never made a director who won him over like Wong Kar Wai. For every shot the director would ask him clearly about the action. He was rather demanding. Before the shoot, Master Duncan personally instructed Leung Chiu Wai in Wing Chun. His son Leung Tat Won also helped as a coach and had a role as well. Speaking of Wai Jai's practice quality, Master Duncan said, "He has a lot of potential and gets it very quickly. With many kung fu students disciples are teaching masters, feeling that after learning a few moves they would ask their masters to teach new ones. Wai Jai has never done that. In addition Wing Chun is mainly theoretical, after listening he learned it all. In the end he practiced from the heart and looked very convincing." As for Wai Jai breaking his arm twice, the first time Wai Jai blocked a kick with his arm, accidentally took a stiff shot and broke his arm. With the other time a stuntman jumped from above, Wai Jai blocked with his arm and was injured. He said, "Wing Chun is not a strength competition. In addition the stuntman was young and did not have enough experience." Master Duncan said that in every scene everyone displayed the true spirit of martial arts, which was worth him following every fight scene fully. Bruce Lee's Roof Duel Master Duncan has been under the martial art spell since childhood. At age 7 he already became interested in every and all style of kung fu and began to study them, Wing Chun was the turning point of his study and it started with Bruce Lee. He said, "Bruce Lee was very familiar with my cousin. At age 13 I always went to visit movie sets with my cousin. One day Bruce Lee told me that he studied Wing Chun for three months. At the time I didn't know how amazing Wing Chun was, so I said let's spar." In only a few moves Bruce Lee hit Master Duncan. With his youthful rage he immediately asked for a rematch on the roof and the result was the same. He immediately asked Bruce Lee to set up a meeting with Ip Man. In front of the Grand Master, Master Duncan displayed his kung fu as Ip Man requested. "At the time I fought myself, I kept fighting with strength. Then Ip Man asked me if I wanted to learn Wing Chun and told me to bring back 8 bucks for tuition. I said I had the money now, then Ip Man asked his disciples to immediately start class." After months, Master Duncan often sparred with outsiders and won every time. Yet he knew that actually he was defeated. "Spectators saw me beat the guy teethless and bloodied and thought I won. Actually my rib was broken and I had injuries that no one could see. When I went back I told Master Wing Chun was useless. Master instead asked me if during the fight I wanted to win and I won, how could it be it useless?" Ip Man shared the martial art truth. "studying kung fu isn't about how to hit people, but how not to get hit." After the explanation Ip Man again asked Master Duncan still had money left. Since then he personally instructed him with home visits. At the time the tuition was several hundred bucks, which was astronomical. Master Duncan said, "I asked my family for it, lying to Ma saying that it was for a foreign tutor." With Ip Man's home instruction, Master Duncan deeply understood the theories of Wing Chun, but every time they had to avoid his mother at home. After learning Wing Chun, did he spar with Bruce Lee again? Master Duncan said that soon after he went to school in Australia while Bruce Lee was focused on making movies. Before his passing they met several times, mostly talking about movies and his work in the U.S. Yet Master Duncan since Ip Man's passing suddenly had an athletic gene decline. Since the 80s he was hired to train the U.S. Navy Seals. Now he is already returned for almost ten years. In recent years he mainly operated a chemical business. Self Confidence Explosion From Practicing Wing Chun Studying martial art with Ip Man from 1955 to 1960, Master Duncan pointed out that Ip Man rarely talked about himself. "No one has ever heard him talking about how he fought others, but I am very certain that he was full of experience. Because after so many years of fighting, without fighting personally I can't talk about all the theories." As for Wing Chun's influence on his life, Master Duncan joked that it has been a bane for him. Because while in school he was passionate about studying martial art and had no interest in education, years later he finally learned that Wing Chun gave me self confidence. "Around 1980 the U.S. Congress invited me to demonstrate kung fu. That day commanders of all three branches of armed forces were present. I demonstrated the bayonet. When I saw how they kept recording I said let's negotiate first. I gave them a price and they said they would consider it. The next second someone drove me to the airport. Before departing someone told me that they invited many to demonstrate every year, but I had the most self confidence. Ultimately I feel Wing Chun gave me a lot of self confidence, an expertise in one skill." [ In Production Now/Soon ] HARDCORE COMEDY Can : Chong Hau Mei Lit : Heavy Flavor d. Opening March 7 2013 [ THE FILM CATALOGUE ] During the early years of the Republic era, in the North-East region of China, the people are suffering from the power struggle among the local Warlords, bandits, and Japanese invaders. Warlord Lam is not a leader of great vision, but having a patriotic heart, stands firm in his own beliefs, despite the several solicitations and temptations from Japan. The only ‘paradise’ within the region is ‘Lucky Town’, the one place where no one dared to attack. Rumors abound that this place is cursed, for whenever anyone attempted to invade Lucky Town, they would disappear and vanish without a trace. In reality, there are seven kung fu masters who have retreated into the shadows and resided here. They are Manysons Madonna and Madonhung, the owners of a steamed bread shop Nam Mor Bing, the Taoist priest Horny Four, the tailor Little Trumpet, the cosmetic salesman and Mamasan Maggie, the brothel owner. Opening March 8 2013 [ BROADWAY CIRCUIT ] This is a story about male Dan (male performer playing female lead) in Cantonese Opera; a documentary seven years in the making about a marginalized art form. In Hong Kong, two young men: TAM Wing-lun, and WONG Hau-wai, both have chosen Cantonese Opera as their profession. They want to be the male Dan which is rare in the industry. Without the support of family, the industry or the society, the only thing to keep the two men going is their passion. Ever since they were young, the two have been each other’s confidant and supporter, learning how to interpret the role of women, and motivating each other on and off stage. Even when the parts they played on stage have changed, the friendship between the two, on and off stage, remains constant and strong. The art is not a popular field in Hong Kong. It is impractical and generally not supported. When the road ahead is unclear, how does one continue? How does one reach his final destination? Cop and robber caught in a classical, ghostly dance; their loyalties are different but their psychologies are the same.
