As shown above, The Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal was an alumni of the UST, which was founded in 1611. Important visiting dignitaries in the recent decades include His Holiness Pope Paul VI on November 28, 1970; His Royal Highness, Prince Juan Carlos, now King Juan Carlos I of Spain, in 1974; Mother Teresa of Calcutta, the "living saint" on January 1977 and again on November 1984; Pope John Paul II on February 18, 1981 and January 1995.

Below are the 9 Martyr-statues behind the Main Library, followed by the Chapel (take note of the Toyota-manufactured modern-jeepney called Tamaraw) and the Main Building, then by the campus map (about half the size of CUHK), with the Arch of Century in the front:
