3ASV403: the first Volgren-bodied Super Olympian in Hong Kong

The first Volgren-bodied Volvo Super Olympian, 3ASV403, arrived in Hong Kong in late April 2002. It entered service on 28th July on route 42A. It has now been scheduled for route 102 and has been one of the most popular targets of bus enthusiasts in Hong Kong.

Compared with ALexander-bodied Volvo Super Olympians, this bus has wider and deeper windscreens (for both the upper and the lower deck). The seats are of a different design and are preferrably more comfortable. At the same time, rear lamps are different from those Alexander-bodied ones; they are quite similar to the ones used on earlier Leyland Olympians.

Photos of this bus is available below. Click on them for an enlarged version.
