A claustrophobic police thriller of honour and crime in the tradition of City On Fire and Reservior Dogs!

Directed by Wong Kam Tin, this gritty, dark and uncompromising tale of police corruption in Hong Kong is an intense and unrelenting ride, through the after dark life of one of the world's most notorious cities.

A downbeat city cop (Lau) infiltrates a hardened gang of vicious jewel thieves, who are holed up in a sprawling beach house. As he becomes more deeply involved, he begins to doubt his own allegiances.

He faces the ultimate dilemma of the undercover cop; when it gets tough which side of the line do you step to?  This modern urban violence thriller is a must see for the Hong Kong film fan.

My Thoughts Movie Ratings

The Most Wanted is the story of an cop played by Lau Ching Wan, who goes undercover with some jewel thieves, and befriends them.  He then must decide where his heart lies, with his job or his friends!  Lau Ching Wan plays his role above and beyond as always, but the story, except for some rare moments, is a boring one!
