Jet Lee is back as martial arts champ Wong Fei Hung, reprising his role from the first two Tsui Hark "Once Upon a Time in China" films.

Hung is off to Beijing to visit his father, who runs a medicine factory accompanied by super sidekick Liang Kuan, and his new fiancée 13th Auntie.

He arrives on the eve of the Lion Dance martial arts contest, and trouble is brewing between the rival factions; Hung tries to calm everyone done - but this in not helped by 13th Auntie's old flame showing up & the attempt on his life by a leader of one of the gangs!

Hung joins the contest, the scene is set for a spectacular showdown! Jet Lee's fight scenes are up to his usual spectacular standard, as he whips his way through impressive duels, and in the final mammoth scene he sweeps his way through an entire legion of fist flying enemy Kung Fu kickers!
