The Movie

Dr Yang (Yu Rong Kwong) is a renowned and respected Doctor of herbal medicine in the local community. But like many folk, he’s deeply disenchanted with China’s political corruption; the poor are hungry, crime is rampant and no one will lift a finger to change it, lest they loose their knee caps.

In the time honoured Chinese tradition, Yang takes matters into his own hands and becomes Chinatown’s own martial arts ‘Robin Hood’ - stealing from the wealthy and donating his spoils to the poor; funnily enough he soon finds himself hotly pursued by angry law enforcement officers!

Only able to dodge the terrifying obstacles in his way for so long, Yang adopts a powerful ally in Wong Kei Ying (Donnie Yen) one of China’s most feared and revered Kung Fu warriors.
After Yang’s son is kidnapped by his arch enemy, The Monk, the stage is set for an all action screen spectacular!

My Thoughts Movie Ratings

One of the MOST overrated Hong Kong movies that I've seen in a long time.  I don't think I've ever heard a bad word said against this movie, so I guess I'm the first.  It's not that it was a bad movie, just a boring one!  If you do make it past the first half without falling asleep then you will see a couple of good fights at the end!
