A claustrophobic police thriller, this piece of modern day mayhem comes from the acclaimed director of City on Fire Ringo Lam, on his return from a disappointing sojourn to Hollywood.

Inspector Pao (Lau Ching Wan) is a grizzled , jaded veteran cop who has seen it all, in his years with the Hong Kong police.

When a criminal named Mak (Ng Chun Yu) escapes to Taiwan after he viciously murders an architect, Inspector Pao vows to track him down; to him Mak represents a new kind of criminal smart, canny, ambitious and vicious a man who will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

But when The Inspector tracks Mak down in Taiwan, where he' s planning a major robbery, the two men have more in common than they thought.
