The Movie

Adapted from Asia's best selling comic of all time, "A Man Called Hero" is a tale of intrigue, tragedy, & supernatural powers where its characters can't escape from destiny.

Set in 1910 to 1930, the drama unfolds with Hero's son, searching for his father. Hero's family was brutally murdered because of its treasure, the Red Sword and he has to seek refuge in the United States when he is wanted for murder by the authorities for taking revenge for his family's death.

A MAN CALLED HERO is a sweeping historical blockbuster with the biggest opening day in Hong Kong box office history. The narrative flips between father and son, playing out a moving story of love and heroism, with a massive all-star cast, astonishing visual effects and an all-out sword fighting showdown on top of the Statue of Liberty!

My Thoughts Movie Ratings

A good film overall.  The storyline was excellent, BUT, it was the sort of film that you look at the time and see that with only 10 minutes left, they have too much to cover to do it properly.  And that's how it is.  The ending seems rushed and not finished anywhere near as well as it could of been.  Unbelievable special effects, especially in the water scene!
