Historical Data: The M25 was designed by the Versuchsanstalt at Aachen in 1913. According to a directive of the Versuchsanstalt all further experimental engines should have a simple design. Therefore the M25 is designed as a single cylinder engine with easy accessibility, but without scavenge pump and compressor. The M25 was built at Jumo Magdeburg during 1913 and was delivered to the Versuchsanstalt at Aachen, where Prof. Mader used it for his experiments.
