Junkers Fo1
( --- )
Single Cylinder, Oil Engine, horizontal opposed piston, developed 1916

Historical Data:

The Fo 1 was the first Junkers engine, which was intended for test on aircraft. A total of four Fo 1 test engines were built, of which the first became available in 1916. Due to bad centrifugal mass distribution none of the test engines reached the proposed power on the test cell. Finally the Fo1 design was dropped without ever used in an aircraft.
