Problem: Low Registered Voter Numbers for Blacks in America!

We as Black and African American people need to get more involved in the political arena! The inspiration of this webpage was adapted from the original website, 'Covenant with Black America' created by Mr. Raymond M. Brown, educator and legal journalist and the outstanding Mr. Tavis Smiley, host of The Tavis Smiley Show from NPR and Tavis Smiley on PBS.

The problem is the low numbers of African American registered voters! Low Black/African American registered voters turn out is disappointing with every election! The consequences include: ‘President Bush does it again….’

What can YOU do about it?

You, yes YOU, can reach out to others in your community or those who may need guidance and assistance in getting to the polls on election day, or helping them get registered prior to election day!

Every Black person who can vote, should vote, we owe it to those who fought and died for us to do so!

During each election, we as African Amercians get more and more frustrated when we feel as if our political feelings are not being taken into consideration! But when numbers come out, we fail to show high numbers of registered voters…why is that?
