| The Spring Break | |||||||||
| Alexis Chasez and her best-friend, Heather Schweitzer were two normal teenagers attending Tallmadge High School, who loved to write short stories. Alexis wrote stories that were scary. Her stories had a little of everything in them. Horror, tragedies, madness, sadness, happiness, hatred, even romance. Alexis was the kind of person who really didn't care for the romantic stories, but when she wrote them it was as if she knew everything about romance novels. Her stories were mainly horror stories. Heather wrote a mixture, also. But she was more on the romantic side of things. You could always tell a story that she wrote apart from Alexis'. Heather would write about fairy tales. Some of her stories would have dramatic horror scenes in them, but they would always end happily ever after. Un like Alexis, which most of her stories were ended in a tragedy or heartbreak, even death. Heather and Alexis would sometimes write about things that happen in their life. One story that they have been working on for a while is about a teacher and cats. They loved messing with their teacher about a little incident that happened to him when he was younger. But it wasn't until spring break of their tenth grade year that they took it seriously. It all started on a dark and rainy night. Alexis was spending the weekend with Heather and they were in Heather's basement working on their story together. "Alexis, do you think Mr. Gnabah minds that we pick on him all the time about this?" Heather asked while she was typing everything that Alexis was saying. "Heather, you are way too paranoid. Of course he don't mind. Why else would he joke around about it with us?" Alexis replied. "I guess you're right. It just seems that he gets annoyed with us sometimes." "Heather, he's a teacher. Of course he's going to get annoyed with his students from time to time. But he jokes around right along with us, so he can't really be mad about it. Beside's, I'm sure he would tell us to stop if he didn't approve of it." Alexis said taking over the keyboard. "Hey! You know that I like typing. Why did you take the keyboard from me?" Heather complained. "Because, you know I like typing, too. But you type too slow and you're getting side tracked with this whole thing. Heather, are you sure that you're ok with it?" "Yes. I'm fine. It's just that..." she stopped when she heard her doorbell ring. "Well, are you gonna go get it?" Alexis asked saving the story on her disk. "Will you come with me?" Heather stammered. "Sure, lets go." Alexis said walking up the steps. Heather followed close behind her and hesitated for a few seconds before opening the door. The doorbell rang again and Alexis grabbed the doorknob and pulled it open. They both cried out in surprise as Heather's boyfriend stood there with a knife in his hand. "Scott, why do you have that knife?" Alexis asked letting him in. "Oh, this? I was at a party and we played a trick on someone with it. It's a fake knife, see?" he said stabbing it into his arm showing them that it was fake. "Please warn us next time you're coming over." Heather said dryly. "Hey, what's wrong?" Scott said pulling her close to him. "I'm gonna go back down and work some more on the story, ok, Heather?" Alexis said turning towards the steps. "No wait," Scott said grabbing her arm. "Why don't we get on-line and mess with people's heads?!" he said with a grin on his face. "It's up to, Heather. I mean, it is her house and all." Alexis smiled. "How 'bout it, Heller?" Scott asked nudging her in the side. Heller was one of Heather's nicknames. She had a whole slew of them. "Sure, I guess. But don't get me into trouble." Heather finally agreed. "Thanks, Heather! You coming?" Alexis smiled. "Nah, I'll just stay up here and read for a while. Thanks anyways." Heather smiled and walked up to her room. Scott and Alexis walked down to the basement and logged on under his screen name, which was; SBluvsHS. Which stood for; Scott Beyer loves Heather Schweitzer. Alexis adjusted her seat and sat down, while Scott was going into a chat room. "Scott, don't get Heather into trouble now." Alexis warned. "How would I? I'm under my screen name." he replied with a grin. "Scott, don't do anything stupid." Alexis whined. "Alexis, stop being a poor sport and just play along." Scott argued. "Scott, if I see something that I think might get us into any trouble what-so-ever, I will turn the whole computer off. I don't care what you are doing." "OK, OK. I get the point, Alexis." "Good." she smiled to herself and watched as he Instant Messaged (I.M.ed) someone. "Scott!" Alexis yelled hitting him in the arm. She couldn't believe what he was saying to these people. "What the heck was that for?" he shot back. "You're gonna get us in trouble. Get out of that room now." "Are you nuts?! I'm not leaving now." "Scott, don't talk like that. You have a girlfriend." Alexis scolded. "What she don't know won't hurt her." he replied. "Scott, I can't believe you just said that. Listen to yourself. Scott, you have a girlfriend, you aren't supposed to be doing that." "Alexis, I'm not hurting anyone. It's the internet for peets sake!" Alexis just sat there not saying anything. She didn't want to be a part of anything that he was doing. "Alexis turn the scanner on. I want to send my picture to this chick." "No, Scott. I will not be any part of this." Alexis refused. "Fine, I'll do it myself!" he walked over and got the scanner out and started to turn it on. Alexis looked at the screen and seen who he was talking to. She started laughing and said hi to him. |
