| "I guess it's ok. It's just a joke anyways." Alexis said looking at the ground. "Really, I am sorry." Alex said walking over to her and hugging her. Heather gave her a thumbs up sign and Alexis smiled, hugging him back. "Well, I guess I'll get going. Do you guys need a ride home?" Mr. Gnabah asked. "No, I'll take them home." Alex smiled. "You drive?" Heather asked in shock. "No, but one of my friends is meeting me here in a few minutes. We're going to lift weights for a while. Would you like to stay? He'll take you home." "Who is this friend of yours?" Alexis asked. "Well, he's right behind you. Meet him for yourself." Alex said watching Mr. Gnabah leave. Alexis turned around and seen Dawson Timberlake standing behind her. "You're, you're friends with Dawson?" Sandi choked out. "Yea, why?" "I didn't know that you were... Wow you're hott!" Dawson started laughing then said, "Thank you, I think. Are you the two girls that Alex said I was taking home?" "Uh-huh." Alexis said shaking her head yes. "Alexis, whats wrong? You've been friends with Dawson for a while now and you act like that you just met him. Alexis, your brother is his best friend!" Heather said following Alex and Dawson into the school. "I know, but I never knew that he was friends with Alex." "Alexis, get over it." Alex called back to her. "What?! Excuse me? Did you just tell me to get over it?" Alexis asked running up behind him and jumping on his back. Alex started laughing and ran in the school. "Hey! Alex, put me down!!" Alexis yelled. "No," he said laughing. "You jumped on me, you get a ride!" he said running back to the weight room. He set her down on the bench and turned on the lights. "Alex, you're insane! I've never seen you like this before. You're always quiet and distant in school." "Yea, well this is spring break. You get to see how I really act now." he smiled and sat down next to her. "Where are the others?" Alexis asked. "I don't know. We can start without them." "We?" "Yea." "Um, Alex. There's something that you don't know about me. I don't lift or work out. Sorry." "Oh well." he said and went over and started warming up. The door opened and in came Dawson and Heather. "Alexis, lets run to my locker real quick. I want to redecorate." she smiled holding up a folder. Alexis walked down the hall to her locker and helped her put more posters and pinups of the Backstreet Boys up. "Heather, I don't get it at all. Why don't you have any pictures of 'N Sync up?" "I don't know. Why don't you have any up? Is it because you know them?" "No, oh god no! They are still my favorite band and not because my brother is in it either. Justin is just really really hott!" Alexis smiled to herself looking at Heather's one picture of 'N Sync that she had hanging in her locker. "Come on, lets go. I'm done." she said shutting her locker. They walked down to the weight room and opened the door. When Alexis walked in she seen that Alex wasn't there. "Where's Alex?" she asked. "He went to find Heather. He needs to talk to you." Dawson said looking at Heather. "Me? Why?" Heather asked. "I have no clue. He said that if you get back before he does to meet him in the library." "OK. I'll be back, Alexis." she said and walked out of the room. Alexis went over and sat down on the bench. "Hey, will you spot me?" Dawson asked laying back on the bench. "Sure." Alexis smiled walking behind him and watching as he was bench pressing. Wow! she thought. He looks really really good. "Alexis, what are you thinking about? I've been trying to get your attention for a few seconds now." Dawson asked sitting up. "I'm sorry. I was thinking about... Nothing, what was it that you wanted?" "I forget now, but would you like to take a walk?" "Around the school?" "Sure, why not? We can go through things that we were never allowed to before." "Dawson, are you ok?" "Yea, why?" "Never mind. Lets go." Alexis said shaking her head. They walked out into the hall and Alexis stopped. "What? Why did you stop?" Dawson asked. "Because, its pitch black in this school. How do you expect us to see?" "I dunno. We'll have to go by moon light." Dawson said as they were turning the corner. Alexis didn't say anything. She didn't understand why he wanted to walk around the stupid school. As they were walking around towards the LBC Dawson slipped his arm around Alexis' waist and pulled her closer to him. "Dawson, what are you doing?" "Nothing, I just don't want to lose you. It's really dark down here." "OK." Alexis didn't mind at all. She loved the idea of him wanting to not lose her in the school. She stopped when she seen a shadow move across the wall up ahead of them. "What? Why did you stop?" Dawson asked. "Shhh. I seen someone up ahead. Dawson, lets go back please." Alexis whispered. "It's just Heather and Alex. Come on." Dawson urged. |
