"These Signs Shall Follow Them That
Believe - Part I"
This message came to me in December. The Holy Spirit woke me up around 2am, instructing me to pray. The message started coming at about 4:30am. At first I thought it was a letter to Kim, but then the Holy Spirit instructed me to put it to paper for all. This message is not to condemn or make anyone feel hopeless or less the child of God. It is however, a wake-up call to encourage all to seek the power we truly have as disciples, children of God. The body of Christ has been under furious attack � even now I�m on two blood pressure pills. I was on four but healing is coming in full. I seek that and will not settle for any form of sickness in my life. We are children of God and don�t have to accept anything less than complete health. Not just for ourselves but for all those we come in contact with! Jesus told us in the great commission found in Mark 16:17-18, �And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name (Jesus) shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues (baptism in the Holy Ghost, the sign); They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.� If we back up to verses 15-16 we see that these signs shall follow as we preach the Gospel to all the world (see also Matthew 28:19 and Luke 24:47-48). �Shall� is a word of command by God, meaning it will! Not �maybe� or �could�, but WILL! This command was given personally by Jesus (God in the flesh, John 1). It clearly teaches that Jesus Christ�s desire for all His true followers was to perform miracles (as He did) as we preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 10:1, Mark 3:14-15). Where are they, and why aren�t they exhibited by today�s church? After all, �These Signs SHALL Follow Them That Believe.�
The Kingdom of God came to earth in the
flesh � Jesus Christ. Signs (in the Greek, semeion) that are performed by true disciples are to confirm that the message is true, genuine. To co-sign that the Kingdom of God has come in power. That the Saviour has risen in total victory. That His work on the cross was complete (Isaiah 53:5, I Peter 2:24). That it is present with and manifested in His people (John 10:25, Acts 10:38). �These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe.�
The recorded history of the early church reveals that all of these signs followed believers, with the exception of drinking poison. But still, a viper injected poison into John and it had no effect. He shook it off and didn�t die or become sick (Acts 28: 3-5). They received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and spoke with new tongues (Acts 2:4, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6, I Corinthians 14). They received power, Peter going out and preaching to the people he had just run from earlier! That is the boldness and fearlessness that accompanies being filled with the Holy Spirit. They cast out demons (Acts 5:15-16, 16:18, 19:11-12). They went out and healed the sick (Acts 3:1-7, 8:7, 9:33-34, 14:8-10, 28:7-8). As you read Acts 19, you�ll see what happens to those that did not have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit when they tried to cast out demons! After coming to Christ, seeking the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues is the most important step we can take. Where is this at today? It wasn�t just for the early church. It is for the church today and as a church we are not using the FULL POWER that Christ paid for at the cross. �These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe.�
Nowhere in the scriptures will you find that these signs were restricted to the early church, or to the days following Christ�s ascension (I Corinthians 1:7, Galatians 3:5). All these signs are miracles by God-given power to EVERY true believer from the first Apostolic Church and every Church until His (Christ�s) return! It�s perfectly clear and backed by scripture that we aren�t just sent out to preach the Kingdom of God � we are to bring in the Kingdom of God! Just like Jesus did. The message is not just salvation, but healing, casting out demons, an ABUNDANT LIFE here and now. Read the scriptures and receive what is yours: Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:27 and Acts 10:38. �These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe.�
One of the biggest lies of the devil that I hear being preached today is that the special gifts are only for a few, not for everyone. Many people I talk to have swallowed this lie and it�s destroying them from the inside out. The devil uses it to defeat, steal from and destroy them. I�ve never seen so many Christians running around beaten down in a �woe is me� state. Wake up people, shake it off! Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. Ask and ye shall receive. Lay hold on all Christ died and suffered for! Anyone preaching another doctrine or gospel other than that of Christ and the Apostles is not a messenger of God, but of the father of lies (satan). False prophets are in the land now and have been since Christ. The antichrist message is anything that teaches or preaches anything contrary to the true Gospel. In Mark 16:15-20, Jesus made it clear that these signs are for ALL believers and not just gifts for a few. Anyone accepting any other gospel than that has got a beaten down, robbed, victim of the devil life ahead, and will be left behind. Claim and accept what God truly has for you today! The failure of these signs to be manifested today is not a failure on Christ�s part to keep His promises! No, God does not fail! He does not lie! Nowhere in the Bible can anyone find that. The failure lies within each heart within the church. We fail and only have what we have now by grace! �These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe.�
We are in the last days � these are perilous, serious times. It�s time for the church to stand up using the authority and presence of Christ to battle the kingdom of satan. Christ promised it to us, and far too long the church has hidden in the closet and behind four walls. We must go out in the fullness of God�s power into the highways and hedges, and lead people out of their captivity. Doing that through the preaching of the Gospel (not watered down) and manifest all the signs and wonders given to us! First we must truly seek the power of the Holy Spirit. Church: we have POWER over satan and his demons! It�s time to speak out against false doctrines. It�s time to speak out against sin, not just locally but in Washington, DC! We are not provided the luxury of just sitting on a pew singing our little songs, going through the motions, shouting and dancing behind closed doors with our little cliques. It�s time to be seen and heard, even at the cost of persecutions. Yes, persecutions will come for anyone standing up for the true message of Christ, anyone willing to be peculiar and separate, Christ-like, in a world full of compromise. �These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe.�
I urge you to study the scriptures the Holy Spirit has laid out in this message. Read Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 24:47-49, Matthew 6:33, Romans 6:13 and 14:17, Mark 16:16-20 and Acts 4:31-33. Read Matthew 10:1 and understand that Jesus gave power there, so disciples could wage war against every form of evil (ie. demons and sickness). The Kingdom of God is at hand in us to bring salvation, grace and healing to God�s people. We must use that power and pray �Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done�� (Matthew 6:10) We do not have time to sit around and do nothing or just go through the motions. I watch the news nightly and I watch the Discovery and History Channels, paying particular attention to world events. The Bible is fulfilling. Some groups want Revelation taken out because it�s too scary, too bloody. The real reason is that satan doesn�t like how clear world events align with it! Canada has just banned certain parts of the Bible and made it law for churches to allow homosexuals to marry in them. Catastrophic events show how short time is. Scientists are predicting greater tsunamis as glaciers like mountains fall into the sea. Volcanoes are ready to erupt � the biggest under Yellowstone National Park. Earthquakes, tornadoes, rapidly changing weather, fires burning out of control, floods� These are nothing compared to what will come. Play time is over, church � accept all God has and get busy. �These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe!�
This message is by no means finished. My writing room is limited, and Part II is already on paper. To some this message may seem hard � if it wakes you up, it�s worth it. You see, if I offend you it�s one thing, but if the Word (the Truth) offends, you need to get on your knees. I�ve purposely been somewhat soft in my messages lately. It seems people were being offended. I can no longer be soft, and will preach as hard as the Holy Spirit directs. You see, I�d rather be in Heaven with 1 or 2 who accepted the Word, than to be in hell with 100�s that thought I was alright, who I lead there! The Holy Spirit has given me many hard messages that will come out in 2006 through the Newsletter, in churches, in prisons and jails, on streets, and anywhere God says preach. I encourage you to write me and to cling to God. 2006 holds many things. �These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe!�
