"The God-Sent Must Be Led"
I want you to know God is good. He is still saving and will lead us, but we must follow. I�ve prayed and sought God concerning this ministry, and my being called at all. Recently I�ve failed to soar above the battles. I�ve waded into them without trusting God; trusting in myself and what I know. It wearied me and I lost direction. When we use the ability God has given us, we are at rest and rise above the turmoil. Sadly, none of these battles have been without warning. God has been faithful to reveal them, often months before they came. My own fault of pride has been my worst enemy. I�ve been caught up in being busy with ministry and school, and battling in areas I should have given to God. I give thanks to God for a godly loving wife who is a help to this ministry. She�s true to God and to me.
Some of you will recognize this message, and to some it will be new. The Holy Spirit led me back to it and several others. I found it to be reviving and encouraging � a boost to me. I pray as we revisit it, you too will receive from it. I�m still a work in progress and God is giving me direction. That direction for now is to revisit some past messages. God has pointed me to another area of ministry that I will soon step into. At this time I�m studying and spending much needed time with God. I�m staying still and waiting on His lead (Exodus 14:14). Changes are coming in His will at His time. Don�t get so comfortable in being God-sent that you fail to let Him lead. He does change the direction of our path. Here is the message from February 2001, �God Sent�:
I pray that the Holy Spirit opens your ears spiritually right now to hear this message. Many of you have been struggling for some time, even in a state of unrest because you feel the calling of God on your life; but you�re just not sure. You feel it tugging at you strongly, but maybe some man, some scribe or pharisee has told you, �You don�t meet the qualifications.� Maybe you don�t measure up to the guidelines of the �church�. Don�t believe a lie of the devil and miss what God has for you! Don�t miss what He has for you to do. God has a place for you where there is peace, joy, happiness, protection, provisions - and that place is in God�s perfect will. His will for your life. No matter what any man thinks about you, God can call you and He can send you! The title of this message is �GOD SENT�.
Praise God, the Holy Spirit has been giving me this message for several days and every time He gives it to me, I GET EXCITED! I�m excited for all of you that will step on out of the bondage that has held you back from running with God�s Word! Freedom is at your door and that unspeakable joy that comes with being in God�s will. When God called me, I just couldn�t believe it. Everything in the world seemed to be stacked against me. Why, I stood convicted of murder! Many organizational churches refused me their courses and wouldn�t even consider licensing me, on that alone. Well praise God when God sends you, He�ll make a way! Over seven years ago I heeded the that calling - when I got what I thought out of the way, GOD STARTED MOVING. I face trials daily, but God�s favor and blessings have never failed. When you let God do the sending, then man�s ordination and approval is no longer needed! God did make a way for me to be licensed and has been opening doors preparing a way for me ever since. I have PEACE because I am �God Sent�. By the way, when God sends someone He calls and sends their spouse too! Just ask my wife... :)
Praise the Lord, God is good! He has sent many men to lead His people back. He�s sent many men to provide for His people, to feed them naturally and spiritually. The length of the newsletter won�t allow me to cover them all, but I will follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and cover those that I�m led to. We will start in with the story of Joseph beginning in Genesis 37. Before I proceed though I want you to look at Psalm 105:17 - �He sent a man before them, even Joseph...� You can read in Genesis that God had made a covenant with Abraham long before Joseph. The Word says that God had a chosen people and that as they went from one nation to another, God didn�t allow any man to do them wrong. He reproved kings for their sakes. God instructed that no one would do His prophets harm, no one could touch His chosen ones. God had to send a famine, but He hadn�t forgotten His promise. You see, sometimes things come upon the evil and God�s children are caught right in the middle of it! Praise God I can tell you, God makes provisions for His chosen ones. He�ll send a man for the people to follow to a place of safety and provisions. God sent a man named Joseph. Oh it might have looked to Joseph like he was being kidnapped and drug into Egypt. God was sending him to make provisions for His chosen ones. That�s why when all the other brothers wanted to kill him, God sent Rueben! Whew, praise the Lord - they could not kill Joseph because he was GOD SENT! I challenge you to read all the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis, and of God�s covenant with Abraham. If you are chosen of God, a true child of God, you are heir to it. Could it be that someone has been God Sent to lead you into all God has for you?
Let me tell you about another man that was �God Sent�. In Exodus 2 a baby boy was born. If you know the Word then you�ll know that Pharaoh had ordered that every son born to the children of Israel be murdered at birth. God had a job for this boy to do though! He was hid for 3 months and his momma made him a little Ark and laid him in it in the flags along the river�s brink. Some may not like this, but GOD SENT a woman! Read it yourself. She just didn�t happen by - it wasn�t chance - it wasn�t what some would call luck. God has a plan and He sent Pharaoh�s daughter by (verses 5-10). She loved the child and GOD SENT his real momma to be his nurse! You see, God had a job for that boy: they named him Moses, meaning �because I drew him out� of the water! God sent his momma there so he�d be raised by a chosen one of God. He was placed in an ungodly mess, but he had a child of God to raise him in it all. God had a plan for him to lead the chosen out of Egypt, which means �bondage�. In Chapter 3 you�ll read that many times Moses questioned God on what to say and God continually told him, �I will send thee�, �Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.� He was �God Sent� and through much opposition and God�s leading, he lead the people out of bondage. Can I tell you, some of you have already or soon will meet a man that is GOD SENT to lead you out of bondage. Please give heed to the man GOD SENT!
Now to me, no message about being sent could be worth much without old Elijah being included in it. In I Kings 17 we can start the story - he wasn�t nothing extraordinary to look at, no Bible scholar, wasn�t in the local clique of prophets! No, the Bible only gives one account (verse 1) that he was a man that stood before the Lord. God sent him, because he was chosen of God! After Elijah had commanded the rain to stop, God sent him to a place of provision and preparation (verses 2-6). Then (verse 7) God sent him to a widow woman. He went and God provided not only for him but for the widow and her son as well. Praise the Lord, isn�t it wonderful to know that when you�re �GOD SENT�, He�s faithful in all areas? God sent Elijah to these places to prepare him. In 3-1/2 years he would have to face a great many false prophets and call fire down from Heaven. All of this to lead God�s children back after they had turned to false gods. Has GOD SENT a man to lead you back, or someone you know?
Let me refer you to just a few more �God Sent� men... John the Baptist was called, chosen, and sent before he was ever born (Malachi 3:1, Mark 1:1-4, search it out). Peter in the book of Acts... Philip in Acts 7 and 8, and Paul in Acts 19. I could go on for hours under the anointing concerning being �God Sent�, but now I�ve got to tell you about the most important Man sent of God - JESUS! �For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.� (John 3:16) GOD SENT His Son that you could be heir to the covenant. So that you could be set free of bondage. So that you backsliders could be led back to HIM! What will you do with this Jesus that �GOD SENT�?
One last little word for some of you that have sat back believing a lie out of the devil... You know, the little lying voice telling you, �You can�t be GOD SENT�. God is NOT interested in your past, no matter what is in it! If you don�t believe that then write me and I�ll prove it to you through a personal message from God. God�s ready to send some of you. He�s got a plan, a calling and a purpose for each of you. Some of you have walked around beat down, but there�s freedom in God�s will - He�s waiting on you! Men in prison, God�s sending you to all areas of the prison, to inmates and officers, no barriers in Christ. No need to wait until you get out to serve Him! There�s a miracle from God waiting for you if you just listen to the Holy Spirit and GO where GOD SENT! It�s time to shout it from the rooftops - anywhere you can speak to one or thousands. �GET IN, GET IN, GET IN LITTLE CHILDREN, JESUS IS COMING BACK!�
If you are guilty of being wrong in some area of your life; if you have gotten off track and continued on a vision of the past; if you have taken the lead and found you missed a turn God wanted you to take � friend, stop beating yourself up. Stop being defeated. God loves you and is always ready to restore. God wants the best for you and your family. Get alone with your Father today, right now, and set things right. Let Him heal you and others spiritually, physically and mentally. I KNOW He�ll dust you off and sit you right where you�re supposed to be, if you just call on Him. I ask anyone whom I have offended, for your forgiveness. Please pray for us, as we do for you.
