"No Middle Ground"
Dear Friends,

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  I am thankful for each of you today, and know that many of you are going through battles harder than ever.  They will increase as the coming of Jesus draws closer.  You know, a half run race has no reward.  If someone in a race quits just shy of the finish line, there is no prize or accomplishment.  The race we are in is no different in that respect only those who finish will receive their Heavenly reward.  The enemy (satan) doesnt want any of us to complete this journey for God.  The heat has been turned up and we must not be manipulated by the battle.  What troubles my spirit the most is the compromise that is being exhibited by Christians and whole churches, by entire organizations.  Times are perilous and many are changing what they know to be the truth of God.  And all just to fit in.  The Word of God tells us to be planted, unmovable.  In Matthew 10:22 Jesus said, And ye shall be hated of all men for My names sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.  Saved when?  Nowhere in Jesus teachings does He say, conform to the world to get by.  This message comes after weeks of battle for standing true and proclaiming Gods Word.  Im very unpopular because of it.  If you proclaim the truth, you will be also.  Todays message is titled, No Middle Ground.

Our first example finds us in Jeremiah 15:16-17, Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by Thy name, O Lord God of hosts.  I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of Thy hand: for Thou hast filled me with indignation.  Im sure many of you will remember last month, how we covered that Jeremiah had enemies.  He wasnt a popular man!  Why?  Jeremiah didnt move concerning his faith in God.  He didnt throw holiness out the door and say anything goes.  He stayed planted in the name of the Lord.  He didnt join sin to be liked and treated well.  Notice the word there says, he sat alone!  He did not sit among the assembly of mockers, nor did he rejoice with them.  I believe if Jeremiah was to walk among our streets and through the churches today, he would scream, Come out!  Stop trying to stand in the middle!  I believe the Holy Spirit is grieved today by all the conforming going on.  The church is commanded to separate, be peculiar and transform the world through the preaching of the Gospel!  Jeremiah would tell you today, just like the Holy Spirit is telling many now:  Get on Gods side!  Stand and be bold!  Everything else will be cast into the lake of fire!  No Middle Ground!

You know, ol John the Baptist could have backed up on Gods Word and kept his head.  Yep, he could have went along with the religious bunch, telling King Herod he was saved and alright.  John could have said, King Herod, take your brothers wife God will understand.  Youre only human you cant lose your salvation.  John could have taken this popular attitude, and kept his head.  After all, thats the trendy thing to do, isnt it?  Tell people what they want to hear so theyll like you?  Or so theyll get loose with their wallets?  Never mind that that lie is sending the messenger and hearers to hell!  More people need to get before God and stay there until they get the backbone of men like John the Baptist.  The backbone of Jeremiah, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.  All men of God: planted, unmovable, speaking the truth of God.  They didnt try to stand in the middle and twist the Word to please themselves or others.  Do you know what their backbone was?  The nature of God!  Jesus was the walking example of Gods nature.  Never saw Him straddle a fence, did you?  Friend, get rooted in Christ, for there is No Middle Ground.

The Holy Spirit has revealed so much to me concerning churches and people taking this middle ground.  On the news and in the papers I see churches ordaining lesbians and homosexual men.  I heard one man in power say, We need to love and not be concerned about sexual preference.  The Spirit in me cringed!  Ive heard so many say, Lets pray together and worship together in our own way after all, were serving the same God.  Let me tell you this one thing and Im not afraid to say it:  if you come to God any other way except through Jesus Christ, then you are antichrist and worship satan!  No one can approach the throne of God except through Jesus.  The Word clearly tells us this!  Thats right friends, Ill be the unpopular one!  I wont try to stand in the middle.  The message is plain and simple you can stand in the middle if you want, but therere only two sides.  The side of God through the Blood of Christ.  The other side children of the devil, worshipping him, no matter what name you put on it.  True Christians stand firm and dont have one thing in common with satans children.  We have one thing to converse with them about: how Jesus died for them, how He will forgive them and accept them on the winning team.  Once a man or woman of God delivers that word, they are to move on if its rejected!  Gods people have no conver-sation with the devil.  Get about the Fathers business theres no middle ground.

I read an article the other day, about a survey looking at who is supporting President Bush, and what concerned them.  The article said that those who are behind Bush were evangelical Christians attending church 2 3 times a week.  Their concerns were stopping abortion and standing against homo-sexuality.  These people werent concerned about the economy, their savings or retirement systems.  The group of people interviewed were interested in the moral laws of God.  Sad to say, it was a very small group.  As I read that I thought about how it compared to true and uncompromising Christians versus the devils number.  Why are the numbers so small?  Because it isnt popular to stand on Gods Word and not compromise.  Our society, our constitution, our laws, our judges all now bend to what is popular.  Didnt Pilate do the same thing concerning Jesus?  I dont care about the rights granted the devil worshippers under whatever religious name they use.  What grieves me is that so many who are called by the name of Christ are afraid to speak up.  It troubles me that so many call the abomination of perverted same-sex couples gay rights  Theres nothing funny, happy or right about it.  God hates it and itll be punished.  It troubles me when the murder of babies is called abortion, and even worse a choice!  Woe to them whos hands shed innocent blood!  Our nation allowing people to use the morning after drug for those who make a mistake!  L  Our schools teaching the Rainbow curriculum that promotes homosexuality.  Our schools teaching safe sex by handing out condoms instead of support and instruction on abstinence.  Instead of telling children that homosexuality is sin, that premarital sex (in any form) is sin, the 10 Commandments are taken out of school because theyre no longer popular.  Tolerance and rights and freedom of religion are given out to all  BUT, you better not be a Bible-believing Christian!  Why?  Because it offends other so-called religions.  You know why it offends them?  Because true Christians worship God through Jesus, and all the rest worship satan, some ignorantly, some not.  The Word makes it clear that satan and his children are the enemy of God.  You know why all these things trouble and grieve me?  Because I am filled with the Holy Spirit.  Every Spirit-filled child of God is grieved.  Every Christian ought to be!  I challenge you to look around at all these things going on in our country.  Where do you stand?  This thing is winding up.  The Word of God, spoken by Jesus in Matthew 12:30 says, He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.  Jesus said it simply: you are for Me or against Me.  Friends, there is No Middle Ground.

I urge all of you to vigorously seek all that God has.  Every gift of the Spirit is needed, and everyone called by the name of Christ needs to be seeking the Fathers will and doing it.  Yes, trouble will come, but each of you will have more power as you become more full of the Holy Spirit.  You must seek it, and you will find. Im not talking about some emotion, but about being filled in Gods Word.  You need it to stand on the side of God in these last days.  Our nation and this world are changing every day, mostly for the worst.  The platform for the antichrist and son of perdition is being set.  Many Christians play around they think if they miss the Rapture, theyll give their heads later.  It wont be that easy.  If a person cant stand for God now, how will they lay their head down in Tribulation?  Friends, wake up and look around!  Jesus wont allow it much longer; Hes getting ready to return.  Maybe Hes holding back for just one more soul.  Have you checked the oil in your lamp?  It must be full nothing else will do if you are to be ready for His return. O, my prayer is that youll be ready, and found standing on Gods side.  NO MIDDLE GROUND!

A Footnote

What Don sees from prison, I also see from here.  These are sad times for this country many incidents and events showcasing the darkness (evil) and compromise that are rampant in the land.  One small example: newspapers proclaiming with photos and large ads churches bringing in big-screen TVs so their congregation and others could watch the Superbowl on the Lords Day  Yes, come join us!  Well have a song, a quick prayer (no preaching of course), and then all will glue our eyes to the television...  The Spirit is grieved, my heart is grieved, and so should be the hearts of all true Christians.  GOD IS GREIVED!  Jesus told the moneychangers, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.  (Matthew 21:13, Mark 11:17, Luke 19:46)  That is better than what these churches have now become:  a den of filth!  Is God pleased with what was displayed in His house?
I think not.

Back several years ago when the country was unsure as to who would be our next president, a missionary friend of ours said:  If Bush gets in, weve been given 4 years of grace.  If Gore gets it, the end is near.  People, youd better wake up the end is more than near, its here!  Are YOU ready to face God?  Better think about it
