Dear Friends,
It is our prayer that this finds you happy, blessed and doing Gods work. You see, there is joy in serving God, in being exactly in His will. The Word of God says in James 1:22, But be ye DOERS of the word, and not HEARERS only, deceiving your own selves. With that I give you another scripture, James 4:17: Therefore to him that know-eth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. This Word of God holds a lot of things for us to do, the goal being to tell all the world about Jesus. To do that we must truly have the love of God in us, not some form of religion or self-righteousness. As Christians, we dont get to pick who we are to tell about Jesus! We dont get to pick who we are to love! We can NOT discriminate. We must never forget where we came from, where God brought us out of. You see, each one of us was headed for hell and none were good enough to get into Heaven with-out the Blood of Jesus Christ being applied. The Word of God says were ALL the same. If you tell a little white lie, or exhibit selfishness, or envy your neighbors new car, then you have sinned. The Word doesnt discriminate between sins a little lie is no less than murder, adultery or fornication. Society, people in churches, have labeled one greater than the other to make themselves feel better. All of which is contrary to the Word of God. In Romans 3:23, For ALL (youre not excluded) have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. In verse 24 were told that we freely receive justification by the grace that Jesus acquired for us at Calvary. Now that we have established that ALL have sinned, and that its only by Gods grace and mercy that we are now washed clean, pardoned with our debt paid, we can continue with the message. The Holy Spirit gave this to me when I witnessed discrimination by Christians, against women, convicts, those of other races, poor people, different denominations and peoples pasts in general. The title of the message is God Doesnt Discriminate.
You know, Im glad that God is our Judge and not man. At some point we have all been guilty of discrimination or judging in some form. It was wrong it is still wrong and it is SIN. We know that sin not repented of (turned away from) will not enter the kingdom of Heaven. I dont care who you are, how pure and clean you think you are you wont get into Heaven with sin. Getting saved doesnt give anyone a free pass to sin after coming to Christ! This old flesh has a bit of Pharisee in it! Oh it wants to dress up and look good on the outside, saying Look at me Im clean God loves me Im special Im without sin But anyone without a heart of love mercy and compassion is not without sin theyre deceiving themselves. If I fail to receive the pimp, the hooker, the drug addict, the rebellious child, the simple, the diseased, the murderer, the rapist anyone then I am guilty of sin. So are you. We as Christians have a command to love God first, and if we truly have that then the second commandment will come naturally we will love our neighbor. For God so loved the world we are in that world and the true children of God will exhibit and live by the nature of Jesus Christ. When Jesus started His ministry it was among the Gentiles (Matthew 4:12-15), among a people that didnt care about anything and lived in a do-what-you-want state of mind. But Jesus went to them! He went to the poor - all the castaways of the religious is where He was found. "HE did not discriminate."
I have many sisters in the Lord that carry the message of Gods love. They do it very well and quite possibly better than we men do at times! For those of you who say women cant preach, youd better get in the Word. Jesus revealed Himself to the woman at the well in John 4. He associated with an adulteress there, a woman considered to be of low class and worth by most. He brought the truth to her. She was forgiven that day she confessed her sins before Jesus. There was no prejudice due to race or past sins. She was set free and made haste to go tell others about Jesus. That Samaritan woman stopped all that she was doing and went to spread the Word. In verse 29, she said, Come see a man! Jesus did not discriminate. Im tempted to believe that the disciples would have, because of verse 27. Arent you glad that one day someone told YOU about Jesus, and that they didnt discriminate?
I know what discrimination is first hand - I also know its of the devil and not God. Discrimination is sin and God cant sin! A deputy sheriff that knew me when I was in sin has started preaching. He pastors a church and yet has taken such a stand against me, very much reflecting hate and contempt, and all because of my past. According to this man and others, I cant preach because Im convicted of murder. Still Im looked at as a criminal and not a child of God. Society is full of people that will hold your past against you. God has forgiven it and cast it away. It seems that so-called good people can be forgiven their past, never to be remembered again, but not the ones society doesnt want! The religious and society have put a lot of pretty names on murder when it suits them, so it doesnt sound so bad for the Pharisee crowd. Its called involuntary manslaughter, justifiable homicide, crime of passion and pro-choice just to name a few. All are murder and the taking of a life, against the laws of God. But all are forgivable to whosoever asks for Gods forgiveness, through the Blood of Jesus. Im so glad GOD DOESNT DISCRIMINATE!
When I was on the streets and when I first came to prison, I was bad to discriminate. I felt those who committed sex crimes, especially against children, deserved death without mercy. God has really dealt with me concerning that, and let me know that I must share His love and opportunity for forgiveness with ALL! Ive found wonderful, strong brothers and sisters in the Lord who have been con-victed of sex crimes. They have been forgiven by God and delivered of that demonic spirit of perver-sion and lust. I was once convinced through the worlds psychology classes that a person involved in sex crimes could never be cured. Im so glad that Jesus changed my way of seeing others, and that I now know He is the Cure for anything! It is up to the adulterer to stay away from trouble areas. It is up to the alcoholic to stay away from alcohol in any form. Let him that steals, steal no more! Jesus changes people and ONLY a true experience with Him and a daily intimate relationship protects against anyone turning back to sin. That is the responsibility of me for myself and for those that love me, for my own church and for all my many brothers and sisters, to help stay close to God. That is my job to others to exhort, teach and rebuke with Godly love. Yes, anyone coming out of prison into your community or church should be observed and not led into problem areas. Oh but desire a good report observe and dont judge! Love and speak accordingly. Follow the nature of Christ. Be your brothers keeper. At the marriage supper a command was given, Go into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in. The word hedges means a closed in place, forced in if you please! Jesus when separating the sheep from the goats said, I was sick and in prison and you visited me not. Jesus loves everyone, no matter what the sin, no matter what color of skin. No discrimination, no denomination, no class of people, good or bad. He dies for them that they may have eternal life. For-giveness is available to all! Each of us as Christians are commanded to take that Word to ALL men, ALL nations how can you do that if you discriminate? God Doesnt Discriminate.
I cant look at a man and tell whats in his heart unless the Holy Spirit shows me. God made it very clear in I Samuel 16:7 that He looks at the heart and not the outside. We as Christians must do the same. It doesnt matter what the outside is or was like the inside is what matters. I can paint a car up all shiny and make it look new, and it blow up a mile down the road on you! I can also take a rust bucket beat up old car and make it new under the hood. Others may say look at that piece of junk, but itll take you anywhere. Dont look on the outside, or hold the past against anyone. God loves all and desires that all come to Him. IF YOU OFFEND ONE OF THESE LITTLE ONES, ITS BETTER TO TIE A MILESTONE AROUND YOUR NECK AND BE CAST INTO THE SEA! Thou shalt not kill! Your mouth, tongue is full of deadly poison dont be found guilty of committing murder with it! You can murder with your mouth, actions and attitude. I encourage you all to read the book of James. I think its my favorite book of the Bible and very plain spoken it even covers discrimination! Check me, look at chapter 2. God Doesnt Discriminate!
In closing I want to tell you all God loves you. Many of you I have never met, but because of Gods love I am able to love you. His love and forgiveness is extended to you, regardless of what you have or havent done. Please dont ever let anyone discourage you or tell you differently. God has a job for you. You have choices to make today. If you have torn someone down, I encourage you to go to them and let God heal the situation. Time is short, life is short, the coming of our Saviour is at hand the decision you make today is the most important youll ever make. Ill leave you with Jeremiah 31:3, The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Remember Gods love, pray for discernment the devil has many counterfeits in the world, in prison, coming out to preach in the prison and in the pulpit, in the pews, everywhere. Keep your eyes open in Christ, love all, remember God has a position for you, and God Doesnt Discriminate.
Ill be coming home soon and I personally challenge any of you to observe me. Put my life under a microscope - come see a man that only Jesus could change. Im glad He didnt discriminate!
In Christ, Bro. Don George
REMEMBER, ITS ME - Unknown
Why should we worry about those in jail? Their life is a mess, doomed only to fail. They cheat and lie and some even kill, When there's nothing left, they might even steal.
My time is too valuable for them and their kind, There's places to go and things I must mind. Im busy right now doing Gods perfect will, Someday I may go, if they are there still.
Then Jesus said, Child, I died for them too, Remember its Me and its not just you. Ive called you to go wherever I send, Preach to the lost and show them their sin.
For I have some who are in chains still, Minister to them and youll be doing My will. Their souls are dear to My Father and Me, Teach them the Word, that they might see.
Remember the thief on the cross that day? Hes here with Me now, this new place to stay. So whenever you go to speak to My friends, Tell them get ready, its nearing the end.
If you go where I send and speak what you hear, Ill open blind eyes and open deaf ears. So when these things you are sent to do, Remember, its Me and its not just you! |
