The Kingdom Of The Lord Is At Hand"
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Praise the Lord! I hope He�s your Saviour today! I hope He�s Lord of your life! That�s all we have in the perilous times is the assurance of ALL of God�s promises, IF Jesus is truly Lord of your life. I hear a lot of people praying. I�ve been reading updates from the Presidential Prayer Team. I�ve been hearing a lot of people saying �God Bless America�. I�ve heard many lately singing �God Bless the USA�. I guess what really struck me was a fella standing up saying, �Let�s get America back the way it was before September 11th.� I thought about that for a little while � how I didn�t want this country to be the same, or for it to go back to the way it was only a few months ago. Then it became clear to me by the Holy Spirit, that America had NEVER changed! A lot of people joined in vain in prayer, but where�s the change? Where�s the key ingredient to our country having a true relationship with God? Where�s the REPENTANCE? America has not TURNED from her spiritual sins and turned TO God! The title of this message is �REPENT, THE KINGDOM OF THE LORD IS AT HAND!�
Everywhere I look I see prayer groups and people trying to communicate with God! I see RELIGIOUS leaders joining people together thinking they can cause a change as each prays to his or her �own� god. People claiming Christ join with worshippers of false gods to pray to allah, to buddha, to every false god that can be thought of, and then join the name of Jesus to it! They�re trying to join the One, the ONLY TRUE GOD to all those false gods of satan. I keep expecting a true man of God to show up and call fire down from Heaven, praise God! Men and women of God, be careful who and what you listen to in these last days. So many ministers claiming to be men of God and don�t have a clue of what is truly going on! If they did, they�d stop everything, take the microphone and preach, �Hold it! Stop! Repent, the Kingdom of the Lord is at hand! You�ve got it all wrong � God won�t bless America as long as she�s full of sin. As long as the people have unrepented sin, He won�t hear their prayers � His back is turned to them.� I believe if a man of God were to stand up and preach �thus sayeth the Lord� to our President and this nation, he�d speak out of Isaiah. He�d say, �Behold, the Lord�s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither is His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But YOUR iniquities have SEPARATED between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. �neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace. Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.� (Isaiah 59:1-4, 6b-9) Every one of these scriptures hit our country! You could paint a picture of America while you listen to those scriptures, if you are led by the Spirit as I am right now. Let me tell you this by the authority of the Holy Spirit, �Don�t expect God to bless America.� It ain�t gonna happen as long as this people as a nation allows one abortion clinic to murder another innocent baby! Our hands are defiled by blood (and abominations) and we�ve made haste to shed innocent blood! You may ask how? We vote, we decide who makes the laws, we buy products from companies that support abortion. America supports the murder of children! Abortion is murder and sin is in the camp. This country won�t be blessed as long as we allow the abomi-nation of homosexuality to go on unpunished! At one time it was punishable by the law. Now it�s accepted, it�s encouraged, it�s funny, it�s taught to our children, it�s alright. Not in the eyes of God! It�s sin and He will punish it, and the soul that doesn�t repent will burn for all eternity in hell. No blessings for this country until pornography is taken off the shelves, the TV and internet; until the dirty little shops are closed; until the prostitutes are off the street corners; until our laws reflect the laws of God and sin is called sin and is discouraged by punish-ment. America�s paths are crooked and as a country we will not know peace, we will not know the Light of the world, �Jesus�. As a country we have one hope � that is Jesus Christ � through HIM only can this nation be united to God; but it starts on an individual basis. �REPENT, THE KINGDOM OF THE LORD IS AT HAND!�
If America truly wants God to bless them, they must come to total repentance. A turning away from sinful ways and turning to the ways of God. As I read the other day in Hosea 6, I thought of our country and what a wonderful place it could be. God could go before us and fight our battles. He could make our enemies at peace with us. Why, hospitals would have to close down. We wouldn�t need jails and prisons. The nursing homes would be empty. Hosea 6:1-3 tells of times like these. That right relationship with God brings fellowship with God and His Holy Spirit comes in and renews. Jesus would be our light and the darkness couldn�t overcome it. Some of you think I�m speaking some foreign language, or about a fairy tale. Oh my friends, I�m speaking of a relationship that�s available to every man, woman, boy and girl in this country. It comes only through true repentance - REPENT, THE KINGDOM OF THE LORD IS AT HAND!�
Oh doesn�t it sound good as we hear about that right standing relationship with God? A lot of people ran to Christ when there was a Y2K scare. Oh how they loved God! Where were they a month or so later? What happened to their love? People ran to God on September 11th and in the days and weeks to follow. They loved God, they needed Him, they wanted Him. No doubt many that thought they would die made promises to God and said a little prayer. What are those relationships with God like today? Hosea 6:4 describes it best, �O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the morning dew it goeth away.� Goodness is the Hebrew word �hesed� which means a covenant love that is holy, steadfast and loyal. It�s an undying love not affected by circumstance. It�s not selfish, based on what God can do for us, but what He would have us do for Him! It�s a love that will stand the test of time and pass through the fire of temptations and hard times. Israel didn�t have that type love because their love was compared to the morning clouds and the early dew � it vanished when the heat appears! God wants a love that will stand the test of loyalty to Jesus Christ and our commitment to His righteous example and His perfect will for us to do! I must ask each of you how would God compare your love today? Would it be real, a true commitment? Or does it disappear after you think you�ve used God and temptation comes? I see that with our country. A false, convenient repentance took place on the lips of many, but nothing happened in the heart. As I read on in Hosea 6, through verse 6, it�s all too clear that God wanted that pure unselfish love from His people. He wanted them to personally acknowledge Him as Lord of their lives. That is want He wants from each of us today. In Hosea 7 they didn�t turn to God but allied themselves with unbelievers. God was always present, seeing their sins even in the dark. They broke every law of God. I challenge you to read the book of Hosea � you�ll see they wouldn�t separate from sin, they wouldn�t repent, they trusted in allies with false gods. If you back up to chapter 4, you�ll find that they were warned that God had a problem with them. America as a nation, a nation backslid, only needing God when things are bad, a nation that has allied itself and mixed with countries worshipping the devil (through their false gods) � be warned� �REPENT, THE KINGDOM OF THE LORD IS AT HAND!�
As I consider our President, I think he is a good man that fears God. I read a quote from him as he thanked everyone that was already praying for him, �I�m feeling stronger now than I�ve ever been in my life. And the reason is because every person in America is praying for me. When I stay on my knees, that�s when I have power.� If I could look President Bush in the eye today I�d hand him this newsletter, and I would tell him that all of those people are praying in vain, if they haven�t repented. I wouldn�t stop there � I�d tell him that as long as the blood of babies is upon our hands, as long as pornography, homosexuality and all other sexual immorality, as long as people are starving in our streets, sick, cold, and alone, then God won�t bless America. That charity begins at home and we can�t be proud to be Americans until we become true Christians first. Finally I�d say, �Repent, the kingdom of the Lord is at hand!�
As I close I�d say this to my brother and sister preachers that are true and sold out to God, from the prophet Isaiah (58:1-2): it�s time to cry aloud in the street, the courtyard, the mountain top, in every place you can open your mouth, and preach God�s Word, just like Isaiah said. Don�t pay any attention to a name over the door! Don�t back up! Don�t sell out for silver or gold! Don�t be discouraged because redemption draweth nigh! The sun�s coming up in the morning! Don�t be found with blood on your hands on judgment day. �Repent, the Kingdom of the Lord is at Hand!�
Now for all those that are praying and making deals with God: in Isaiah 57:21 the Word says, �There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.� You CAN have peace in knowing you�ll spend eternity in Heaven, if you repent. You CAN know that closing your eyes in death will bring you into God�s presence. You CAN know that your prayers for your loved ones are heard and all the promises of God are yours for the asking. You will no longer have to fear, because you serve the one and only true God. The God of Noah, Abraham, David and Moses. The God that became flesh for YOUR salvation. All this comes by truly coming to God in repentance through Jesus Christ. You can�t come through a priest by confessing to him, or by saying a �Hail Mary� or two. You can�t bow to the Pentecostal church, the Baptist church, the Methodist church or any other church. You can�t work your way in or buy your way into this place � but only by coming through Jesus and asking forgiveness of your sins and repenting (turning away) from sin. I pray you�ll come to Jesus today. As I end this, there�s only one thing I can say � �REPENT, THE KINGDOM OF THE LORD IS AT HAND.�
