Dear Friends,
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, our Saviour and soon-coming King! I pray that this newsletter finds each of you in Gods will and about His business. Please stop and pray now, asking the Holy Spirit to open your ears and eyes to this message, that your heart would accept what God has to say to you right now. This is a message for YOU and for every blood-bought child of God who has accepted Jesus as Lord of their life. Please give some time and thought here - this message has been sent by the Holy Spirit as Ive studied about the condition of our nation and the world. The devil is having a party, with mankind daily slipping into a state of wickedness. That condition at times seems to me worse than the days of Noah, or Sodom and Gomorrah. What are you doing about it? Are you out in the heat of the battle for God? Or have you been living as a victim of strong delusion? You might say, Well, I attend church every time the doors are open and I live a holy life If you told me that Id say, Thats all good, BUT what are you doing for God? The title of this message is NO PEWS IN HEAVEN.
We start this message in Matthew 19:16, with a story Im sure you are all familiar with. Its about a young man that came to Jesus saying, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? The young man went on to say that he had kept all the commandments. Just suppose for a moment that this young man had kept all the law; even so he knew he was still lacking. Jesus told him there was more for him to do if he was going to be perfect. He would have to sell all that he had and give to the poor, so he would have treasures in Heaven, and then, follow Jesus! He had to get rid of all the things that would hold him back, all that would keep calling him back and interfering with what Christ wanted him to do! You know that Jesus traveled around with only the clothes He had on, preaching the Gospel, raising the dead, setting the captive free, giving hope to the broken-hearted. Jesus was constantly about the Fathers business, bringing life to the lost and making the same freedom available to the religious trying to live the law! Jesus commanded His disciples to GO in Matthew 10:5-10 to the lost to preach, to heal the sick, to raise the dead, casting out devils, giving and receiving freely, taking no gold or silver or brass or scrip in their wallets, no coats or shoes. They were just to GO preach the Gospel. The disciples followed this, and John the Baptist before them had went out preaching, Repent, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!, totally dependant upon God! Matthew 6:25 will back up all of this, with Jesus telling US to take no thought of our life, our food, our drink, our clothes or body. Then in Matthew 6:34-35 were told to seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow... Jesus has told us and has given us examples to GO, and Hell make all the provisions. Remember the young man from Matthew 19? In verse 22, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. He couldnt go because he couldnt turn loose and do the will of the Father! Jesus went on in chapter 19 to tell the disciples that everyone who had done what He commanded by forsaking things of this world shall inherit eternal life. Ive searched and searched and SEARCHED some more, but I tell you I dont find ONE place where Jesus said, Go sit on a pew, let someone else spread the Gospel, just be there 3 times a week and youll be fine. I can hear the accusers now saying, Ah that brother Don is preachin salvation by works. Well, thats a lie from hell Im preaching if you truly love God, youll obey Him! Youll do His will! Youll want to please The Father! If you are satisfied with and glued to a pew here, you wont be happy in Heaven because there are No Pews In Heaven.
In Nehemiah 8, Ezra would climb up on a high tower to read Gods Word to all the men and women and all who would understand. He read from daylight until midday, and the people were attentive and they STOOD UP, hands raised, heads bowed, worshipping God! Church, whats wrong today when so many people want to get in and then get out quick?!? They want to sing a song or two (many not even standing then), hear a 15-minute message and be home or in the restaurant before the rush. Whats wrong Church, when those people in Nehemiah that didnt even have the promise of healing, abundant life or forgiveness just for the asking, could stand for 6 hours and worship God, and most today cant stand through Amazing Grace?!? Those people didnt care about A/C or soft padded pews they stood and WORSHIPPED GOD! Those people will fit right in when we stand and praise Jesus in Heaven, casting crowns at His feet. Will you fit, if theres No Pews in Heaven?
Everywhere Ive looked in the Bible shows me that people who have truly met this Jesus I serve, are people busting to worship, to go and do, to tell others about Him! In John 4 when the woman of Samaria met Jesus at the well, her life was changed! In verse 29 she had to tell others, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did; is not this the Christ? She told about Jesus and people came to Him. Again in Luke 17:11-19 when Jesus healed the lepers and told them to go show the priests only one glorified God, bowing down and giving thanks. The Word says in verse 15 that he, with a loud voice glorified God. I dont know about you but I get excited and loud about what Jesus has done for me and my family! In John 11, even the Pharisees were talking about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead! Im sure their intentions werent to glorify God, but it was heard just the same. In Acts after the day of Pentecost, the people didnt just sit in pews they went out and started doing everything that Jesus commanded them to do in Mark 16:15-20. That same commission IS to YOU today! Right now! If you return to that pew and sit down on God dont expect anything - because of your disobedience, you, your children, and anything you touch isnt under the promises of God! Where will you sit? Because there are no pews in Heaven!
You are all familiar with the Parable of the Great Supper in Luke 14:17-24, and the requirements to be a true disciple. All those people had an excuse they were replaced! In the Parable of the Ten Talents in Luke 19:11-27 remember how the one that wouldnt use his talent had it taken from him and given to one of Gods Do-ers? Many of you sit there knowing exactly the calling that God has put on your life, and you wont move off the pew. You leave it all to the Pastor or someone else. Gods not going to keep waiting on you and listening to excuses. Get up off that pew and do something for God, no matter how small it may seem! Matthew 9:37-38 says, The harvest is truly plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labourers into His harvest.. This world is full of people hurting, alone, sick, broken-hearted with no hope, that need YOU to tell them about this Jesus that transforms, bringing abundant life. If Jesus hung a Help-Wanted sign in your church or on your front door today, it would say: Hiring now all positions plowers, sowers, waterers, caretakers and harvesters. EVERYONE applying with a pure heart full of love and willingness to serve the Father, will be put to work TODAY! Not one mention of anyone sitting on a pew. God wants your talent NOW people are going to hell TODAY! Jesus is coming back at an unexpected hour (Luke 12:40) - Im looking for Him every day (Titus 2:13) dont lose your crown (Revelation 3:11) do the will of God (Matthew 12:50) because there are NO PEWS IN HEAVEN!
In Christ, Bro. Don George
A Voice From Hell! - Author Unknown
You lived next door to me, for years; We shared our dreams, our joys, our tears. A friend to me you were indeed, A friend to help me when in need. My faith in you was strong and sure; We had such trust as should endure. No spats between us ever rose; Our friends were like, and so our foes. What sadness then, my friend, to find, That after all, you werent so kind. The day on earth my life did end, I found you werent a faithful friend. For all those years we spent on earth, You never talked of second birth. You never spoke of my lost soul, And of Christ who would make me whole. I plead today from hells cruel fire, And tell you now my last desire. You cannot do a thing for me No words today my bonds will free. But do not err, my friend again, Do all you can for souls of men; Plead now with them quite earnestly, Lest they be cast in hell with me. |
