Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Praise His Holy Name! I come to you today in the name of Jesus by the leading of the Holy Spirit, and with a heavy heart because of the sin on every hand. I look around at how people live their lives, at the sin in our nation, and at the terrible crimes that young children are committing. Compounding that, my heart grieves as I read and hear what so-called prophets, ministers and scholars are passing on to a great multitude of people that are void of understanding. As you read this someone somewhere is being deceived and heading for hell, because they�ve believed a lie of the devil. I looked up �void� in the Hebrew dictionary and found it under �bohum�, meaning �empty, emptiness, or an indistinguishable ruin�. How well that definition fits a sinner, a backslider, the lukewarm, the children not taught in God�s way, and the half-hearted. I challenge you to pray before reading this message - for you that know God, you need to pass this message on. For you that don�t have a relationship with God, it is my prayer that you�ll be drawn by the Holy Spirit and your ears be opened to receive this message firsthand. I�m thankful for God�s Grace and that His Holy Spirit revealed to me the need years ago for �Filling the Void�.
Man wasn�t always empty, in fact, in the beginning (Genesis 1, 2 and 3) he was full. In 2:7 the Word says, �And the Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.� I pray that some of you are understanding that verse the way the Holy Spirit revealed it to me! Praise the Lord, you see man was nothing but a bunch of clay laying there after God formed him. That man was empty, nothing in him to bring him to life. Oh but God loved that piece of dirt He formed in His own image! Then God breathed into that emptiness the breath of life and man became a living soul. That man�s lungs expanded, his heart started, blood started to flow through his veins, his brain began to function, his eyes opened, and HE WAS ALIVE! He had the breath of God in him - he loved God and God loved him. He was full of God�s love; he had a relationship with God. I mean a one-to-one relationship, with God as #1 in his life - his provider, his only God! God made a garden paradise for him to live in that our minds cannot comprehend, and then he made Adam something very special. He made a woman, full of God. I�m talking about the most beautiful woman, because Adam was full of God. He knew how to love his wife because He was full of God. They were both full of God, being taught of God, had a personal relationship with God in a garden paradise. And then it happened. It wasn�t another woman, or another man - it was a deceiver, the serpent, the devil with a mouthful of lies, being just as charming as he could be to those innocent children of God. They both fell for it. I did say both! If you stumble and fall today it is YOU that did it - not you wife, not your husband - YOU! It is not anybody�s fault but yours if you listen to the devil�s smooth lies. That devil was jealous of the relationship Adam and Eve - MAN - had with God. He was jealous of the love that filled them, that they shared with God. They let him steal it from them, leaving them EMPTY, separated from God by sin of disobedience for believing a lie. The voice of God walked with them in the garden but that would no longer happen now - they were kicked out, empty, separated from God. They stepped away from a life of being full, into a lifetime of hardship and trouble, void of the Spirit of God that had been in them and had surrounded them. The door to every bit of evil, every perverted sin, was now opened. Now God would have to provide the way for man to come back, for Him to live in them again, a way for �Filling the Void�.
It has become a common occurrence to turn on the news and hear of children walking into a school or church and killing everyone they can. Many do this and then turn the guns on themselves, committing suicide and stepping out into hell. That�s a hard word but it is true. Children are born into a world of sin - they are �innocents� at birth, but have a void inside because they don�t have the Spirit of God living in them. God entrusted those children to adults - a man called the Father, a woman called the Mother - they are together called Parents. It is the sole job of those parents to teach and raise those little babies as they grow, in the ways of God. The void in the children must be filled with the things of God and then they will know right from wrong; they�ll know that choosing God is the only way to have a meaningful life and to live forever in the presence of God. That�s a life full of JOY! �Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in Thy presence is fulness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.� (Psalm 16:11) But there�s a serious problem. You see, not many parents can teach their children about the ways of God, because they too are walking around empty. The example being set is not one of God, but one of self worship, pleasure, do what feels good, get to the top no matter who you step on. Too many parents are empty, without God! They might send their children to church just maybe, but the parents won�t know if the preacher knows God, or the Sunday School teacher - sure they might have awards, diplomas and all sorts of things to praise themselves on the wall, but are they empty as well? You can believe that when a man or woman is void of God in their life, they�ll be full of a spirit that you don�t want teaching your children. The answer to filling the void in children is NOT buying them a bunch of trash music to listen to! It�s not letting them sit in front of the TV for hours! It�s not letting them rent godless movies or go to those movies or concerts. It IS teaching them Godly values by teaching them to pray and to have a relationship with God. In Proverbs 7, a very good example is given concerning a youth void of understanding. If you love your children spend time with them, teach them about God. Worship God with your children. If you don�t fill the void in their lives with Godly things, then don�t think it strange when your son comes home shaving his legs, with make up on. Or your daughter comes home thinking she�s in love with another woman. You better realize this - satan will spend every second of every day �Filling the Void� in their lives, until he snatches their souls for an eternity in hell.
Backslider, you that are fooling only yourself with a half-hearted attempt to serve God, you better wake up and come running back to God. You know exactly what I�m talking about. You�re sick inside, your wife or husband can�t make you happy anymore. There isn�t anything that can satisfy you. You are empty away from God. The prodigal son left full and went off doing his own thing, but he found himself starving. He wasn�t just starving naturally, he was starving spiritually for that relationship with his Father. There are some of you reading this right now, void inside - you have tried clothes, cars, sex, alcohol, drugs, everything that has a name - but you are empty and miserable. You know why? Because you had the spirit of God living in you and now you can�t function properly without Him! Men and women have been finding that out since sin came into the world in the Garden of Eden. You can read in Romans 1 and Titus 1:
15-16 about those that professed to know God - no doubt they did at one time, but they committed abominations - woman laying with women, men laying with men. They loved sin and they were turned over to be reprobates, which means �void of understanding�. They could no longer understand the things of God and they thought they were alright. They thought that right into hell! You see, James 1:8 says, �A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.� If you are trying to serve God and the devil, you will end up either filling the void with God or with satan. The way you�re living may seem right to yourself and others, but it will end in destruction (Proverbs 14:12, 16:25). Who is �Filling the Void� in your spirit today? You have a promise, backslider, that the evil spirit that left will come back with seven more, if you turn from God.
Finally, I want to talk to the Christians, I want to encourage you but feel impressed to caution you. A lot of false prophets and false teachings are in the land today. A lot of Christians that haven�t been �Filling the Void� with time before God are being led astray. They are believing lies and will be damned to eternity in hell. All across the land and in every home that can turn on a radio or TV, there are preachers preaching a prosperity message. That message is a half-truth that satan is using to turn people�s eyes to materialism. If you are �religious�, if you are slothful in spending time with God, then satan is going to sift you like wheat. In III John 2 the Word says, �Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.� In John 10:10 we are told that Jesus came that we could have life and it more abundantly. That is the truth of the message going around, but prosperity is not only of material things - every dollar you have belongs to God! Every dollar a church gets belongs to God to do ministry work. It�s not meant to buy fancy suits, or a Mercedes-Benz, or Rolexes or diamonds, or even gold flower pots. God�s money is meant to be used in spreading the Gospel, feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, upkeep of the church and pastors and evangelists and missionaries. It�s not for anyone�s personal use. God�s prosperity will last and comes in health and other blessings that are abundant and running over on someone else! Make sure you study your Word, little children, and �Fill the Void� with the Spirit of God, and you won�t be deceived. There�s a Dr. Moon going through the US now preaching that hell is closed and the devil repented and is Jesus� brother! Mark them that speak lies, rebuke them and follow God�s truth. I watched a documentary on the History Channel the other night and shook my head and prayed because many will believe what those so-called scholars had to say. They were showing how drugs were used in beer and wine in Rome and all the surrounding area. They claimed the Prophets saw visions because they drank such drugs and it caused hallucinations. They claimed Jesus drank opium and that was why He saw and spoke what He did. ALL lies of the devil! Study and seek God, pray and attend every anointed meeting you can. The ground work for the mark of the beast is being set in motion - many caught up in prosperity teachings will fall into it. Don�t be one of those casualties! The Bible is fulfilling daily and Jesus is coming back. Make ready for His return and know who�s �Filling the Void�!
