This event is now an annual event and designed to bring attention to our DMV artists as well as to promote FRIENDLY competition in order to see the DMV step up.

2. Best Female rapper was tough. Lady Dy was so close to winning the number one spot but Moet sqeeked an narrow victory. Moet's flow is just a bit more intense which is one of the reasons we chose her to be the winner. In this case we have to name ALUV as a 2nd runner up because she has stepped her game up viciously. Since she doesnt have a CD out she cannot be considered for the winning spot but Im sure next year she will be up in the hunt for sure. Multiples Voted for Lady Dy. 20 Voted for Aluv. Both are very good choices.
MOET - IS THE WINNER
3. Gemini has so much soul and power in her voice as well as an excellent ear and great harmonic ability.
She also is an excellent writer. Lyric has all these qualities too. Both can easily walk away with the winners crown. Since there can only be one winner it will be..........GEMINI! The power Gemini has in her voice is un matchable. Both singers are WONDERFULLY GREAT!
4. The best producer award was extremely difficult. Even though we have a winner we personally feel that all these producers bring something different to the table.
Ron Reak is an exceptional producer. His attention to detail is what makes him great. DC Ty is also exceptional.
His grimy aggressive sound gives off the ora of the streetz. Hitz is a very versatile producer. Produces Live bands as well as tracks. Produces GoGo, R&B, HipHop, Jazz, Blues, Club, and Alt Rock music.
Because of his versatility Hitz is the winner of this Award.
With DC TY 1st Runner up and Ron Reak Second runner up.
All these producers are great and are winners in their own right.
5. The best Hip hop CD came down between 2 great CD's.
Lady Dy's mix CD is OFF DA HOOK. Period.
Once again both CD's could have been number 1 but in this case
Lady Dy's Wonking Progess is the winner.
6. The Rebirth of GOGO is our 1st runner up because of the creativeness of this CD.
These are gogo songs geared for the masses put is such a way that people can enjoy it all over the world.
This is a gogo CD unlike any other featuring many of the DMV's finest artists.
But the Winner is What Band for obvious reasons..........IT ROCKS~

7 We have some excellent grinders here in the DMV
Bruce Odams is one of the best I have ever seen but since he doesnt deal with the DMV artists and music scene that much he cannot be the winner of this award.
TMOTT , the brainchild of Kato Hammond, is so wonderful. They have been grinding for the DC GOGO scene for years and has put a positive face on the gogo scene. They are well deserving of this award.
Brother Maniac - What can we say about this wonderful brother.
He has big ideas and visions, and he puts them into action for the DMV.
The creator of the DMV awards which was the biggest DMV event for underground artists EVER in the DMV.
Does events to help the homeless and the less fortunate and always trying to bring unity to the DMV , he could easily walk away as the winner of this award.
But the winner is....................20 BELLO.
20's WEEKLY events give the artists of the DMV a place to perform every week.
20's ideas to unite the DMV were and are pioneering.
He is also the creator of THE CRANKFEST! A pioneering annual event that brings artists together from all over in Unity.
20 along with Heve grind their asses off for the DMV.
There is also much to be said about a brother that picks himself up from going down the wrong path in life to becoming a positive influence in the community.
Everyone mentioned above are winners but since we have to choose one..
