15th century. Front panel, right. Seven bell tents, ball apexes, multipatterned roof and walls, pole visible on front tent, dark interior lining. 'Well-bred brides, weathy bride grooms, and substantial dowries went hand in hand in fifteenth century Florence, exemptified by this very elaborate wedding chest.
